Hey guys welcome back to channel, and in today's video we've got the much-anticipated speed test between the two absolute speed demon phones at the moment on the left. Here we have the undisputed champ of the iPhones, the iPhone 11 Pro boasting Apple's latest and greatest a 13 sorry, a 13 Bionic processor. The 11 Pro has been widely acknowledged to be an absolute benchmark. Crusher it sails through all the synthetic benchmarks that people have challenged it with crushing most of the competition from the Android world. But look here's a new kid on the block. This is one plus as latest and greater than one plus eight pro boasting a snapdragon Qualcomm snapdragon 86, 5 processors.
It comes in either 8 or 12 gigs of ram. This is the 8 gig version. We thought would make it a fair fight, and also I couldn't afford to get me.12 gigabytes, ram, 1, so 8 gigs, it is so. What we're going to do today is try and open some of the apps that I use day-to-day to see which one is quicker simple, as that nothing complex here: I, don't like benchmarks, because I don't think they reflect real-world use, so we'll just kind of Poole along and open a few apps and see how we go along. So both phones are on Wi-Fi on the same Wi-Fi network.
They both got do not disturb mode turned on and all the apps are shut to start off with, and we'll close them as we go along. So let's start with some social media, then let's have a look at Twitter, so 3 2 1 go! Oh, look at that, a very, very clear win for the OnePlus there. It wasn't even close. That's a flying start from the OnePlus, that's close Twitter! Let's have a look then at Instagram next, so I've set my phone's up slightly differently, so we have to do a bit of flicking around so Instagram. Okay, let's see how they get on with Facebook's insidious.
We photo sharing app ready, 3, 2 1. Oh, I was pretty close, actually too close to call I'd say she would just try that again. Oh, where is he where he has gone Instagram three two one I think the iPhone just shaded that actually, but certainly a much closer round than the last one. So that's social media and, as you know, far too much social media rots your brain. So let's move to the soothing goodness of some music.
So what we've got here is Spotify three two one, oh I, think that one goes to the iPhone. Let's just try that again, three two one yeah, definitely a iPhone. So after being left in the blocks at the beginning, the iPhones making a strong comeback, we knew it'd take a lot to keep this champ down. Ok, let's try another music streaming app, so we have got tidal, I believe on both. So let me just show you that title yeah same account: Ready Steady, Go, oh yeah, that was a that was a strong showing from both really lightning quick but I.
Think there then one plus just shaded it. Let's try again. Where are we title, title Ready, Steady, Go, MMM that time I think the iPhone saved it. So the trading blows here very, very interesting, ok, so we are coming on to something different now, and it's our good friend YouTube hello, YouTube, now YouTube again we're signed in to the same account. So everything else is the same three two one, oh, how interesting, so the iPhone was quicker off the block, but I think the OnePlus got there past the finishing line a little faster.
Let's just have another look at that: well, YouTube right, three, two one yeah def a win for the one plus there, so we are very, very evenly matched heading into another streaming: video service of BBC player, okay, three, two one: all the roles are reversed this time. So although the one-plus got off to a quicker start, the iPhone has got across a finishing line a little faster. Let's just have another look, three, two one yeah. Definitely the iPhone remember both of these phones come with superfast, internal storage, the OnePlus sports, the OF s3 standard of storage, and it's coping really well, and one area where fast storage makes a big difference is a program like photos because it has to open the program but then load up all photos that are already stored on the device and on the cloud. So let's have a look at that: yeah everything's closed, so photos and where am I going, where am I going I come back right, right, ready, sorry, I'm being it's late, forgive me three, two one, no I think that was unfair thumb action.
Let's just do that again: okay, three, two one whoa, whoa both were lightning quick there, but I think it was probably the one plus. Let's just have another look: shall we three two one yeah, definitely the one plus. So what prediction there was correct, I think you're, seeing, though that you will not be disappointed either of these I mean they barely skip a beat they're doing stuff before you can even think about it. That's right! Rather my favorite workout and running out. Okay.
Three. Two one Wow definite OnePlus victory there. So there you have it. These two phones are really very, very fast, and they are trading blows. I think the one plus just feels a little faster in general use, mainly because it's 120 Hertz display refresh rate, which just makes everything feel so nippy just you know scrolling around clicking on things now the iPhone has a 60 Hertz panel, which still feels really responsive thanks to it.120 Hertz touch response rate. So look there's very little to choose between these two Speed Freaks.
If it was a car race, it would be like a Lamborghini versus a Bugatti, but there can only be one winner and I think on the strength of today's showing the 1+8 Pro just about shades it. But what do you think? Do you think I've been unfair on the iPhone? Let me know in the comments below and remember this is very unscientific. It doesn't reflect lots of apps being open in memory, so maybe we'll do a more in-depth comparison at some point, thanks for watching hit the like button, if you liked it and remember to subscribe, if you like, the stuff I've put out I'd be ever so grateful see you in the next one.
