What's up guys, it's your boy Siobhan here back with another video. So since I got the Galaxy Note 8 I decided that I wanted to do a battery drain test between that Note 8, the 8 plus and the iPhone 8. So, as you could see to be on a level playing field, I have the brightness on all these devices. Maxed out I turned on the flash on all three devices and I also have the Bluetooth running in the background as well. It's also everyone is on Wi-Fi and everything. So don't worry about that.
So, let's get this thing started guys. So remember we have a level playing field, so everyone that's wondering. Yes, we do everything's on airplane mode, so no cellular signals or anything. The first thing we're going to do is watch a two-hour, long, 4k video. So that's supposed to drain the battery out a bit after that we're going to test our Instagram to turn the camera application, but without any further ado guys, let's jump into the video sit back relax if you want you can skip to the end near the end.
If you just want to see the results, but if you want to see the detailed step-by-step results, advise you to stick around to see every hour or every half an hour. What happens so at 4 to 6 minutes. We could see the results right here. Let me know what you think: it's nothing too surprising, but what was surprising is that the iPhone 8 is keeping up with the 8 plus really well right here, just by 3%. The 8 plus is in front of the iPhone 8 and the note it's just in front f-18 with 2%, so the iPhone 8 plus, is doing a perfect job here.
Well, we still have a long way to go guys. We still have a couple of hours left, so we're going to see what the iPhone has in store for the note 8 so guys after one hour that iPhone 8 has 73% it has a plus a 77 and the note it has 18 one just for proof. You can see the eight to one right there, so yeah. Those are the results after one whole hour, so the 8th is falling way behind the 8 plus at this moment, and the 8 plus is really keeping up with the note 8, which was not expected. Hopefully, the iPhone 8 plus will keep up with the node 8 throughout the entire video.
We will see so yeah, let's just get back to the video guys doing our daily checks again guys and then for some strange reason: I swept up the control center, then the 8 plus rebooted itself, so I had to find the video again and tear it up. But after one on 30 minutes, the 8 is at 57%. The note 8 is that same thing and the iPhone 8 plus fall all the way back to 61. So that's really weird because it was keeping up with not 8 good, but for some strange reason it couldn't hold on to the note it, so now we're just on Instagram guys browsing through Instagram watching the life stories watching the live feeds and just doing real-world usage we're not really stressing too much, but we're still taking a hit at the batteries since guys. After 2 hour and 30 minutes, we can see the note.8 is still in front of 50%. Then the iPhone 8, with 25 I, think now it's 28 and iPhone 8, plus with 32 so yeah.
Where does your mind? We're just gonna, keep going we're going to play some hmm asphalt, 8, so just going to open, asphalt, 8 on all these devices and run through the game, real, quick, so after three whole hours, guys guess who is in front the one that's leading is the Galaxy Note 8 at 39%, the iPhone 8 is way behind at 13% and for surprisingly, the eight plus is at 15% only two more percent than the iPhone 8. So this is a real test to show you that the iPhone its battery is really sticking up with the iPhone 8 plus. So if you just wanted to get the 8 plus just because of that battery life, you may rethink if you need to save some money, because the 8 is really doing a good job right here. So now we're just watching John wick on Netflix trying to kill the battery again drain. It out.
Remember the flashes on for all these devices, and just in a few seconds here, the iPhone 8 decided that it couldn't take it anymore, and it stopped at 3 hours and 24 minutes. So the iPhone it was really drained, and it was also very, very hot, which is to be expected just for proof. This is the to the glass back. If any doubters were out there wondering if it's really it, it is so just going to put that to the side and continue with the eight versus the note 8 right here. So it's three hours 25 minutes the eights is at 3% the iPhone 83%.
The note 8 is at 32%. Isn't that crazy? I? Remember one point where the iPhone 8 plus was 2%. Behind the note 8 I know it's, it's really, really taking a hit, and the note 8 is just really performing well, which is much your life I, don't know how they did it, but it's really doing a great job guys, and these phones are really new. The iPhone, 8 plus just came out, so there's no reason for it to be draining this easily. I think it's just because of the iOS 11 but stuff when it decided that it's tired of this as well, and it stopped at 3 hours and 33 minutes.
So the not it still had 29% to spare I'm here on the results. If you guys want to pause the video and see the exact time and seconds everything lasted so there thanks guys, he asked for the note 8 versus the iPhone. It's that's the video.
