Okay, so this is an update, video on the upcoming Samsung Galaxy tab, s7 lite, and whether you should go ahead and continue to wait for one which, by the way, I think you should. But there are, you know some instances where it would just be better for you to pick up a regular tab, s7 and call the day. So today we're going to talk about that, and we're also going to talk about some new Samsung Galaxy tab, s7 lite news. So let's go ahead and jump welcome to another new segment of the channel and, as I just mentioned there, this is going to be about the upcoming Samsung Galaxy tab. S7 lite, which, as you may be aware, is the lighter version of the Samsung current flagship tablet, which is, of course the Samsung Galaxy tab, s7 lineup. As far as release date goes.
We are still looking at the month of June, so sometime in June, that's roughly about a month from today and to those people who have been waiting, who've been holding on I'd, say just hang in there you're, almost there literally about a month or so from today. You should be counting, however, many days up until the actual launch. We did just have the Samsung event, but that did not cover this upcoming tablet, but instead it focused just on the new Samsung laptops, and I'm talking, of course, about the new lineup of galaxy books. We have, however, gotten some new info as it relates to some of the new features that you're going to find in the Samsung Galaxy tab, s7, lite, and also on the design itself, which, in the past, I've made sure to illustrate using my well my beloved Galaxy Tab, s7 plus here, and I've done so because the upcoming tab, s7 lite, is said to have an all metal unibody frame, which honestly is not too surprising right. I think it would give kind of a very clean and modern look and also somewhat of a premium, feel and look to the tabas7 like I've mentioned before, and this hasn't changed.
It will be running the snapdragon 750 g, which is kind of a mid-range chipset, and we are looking at a four gigs of ram version and also six gigs of ram version, and this will be combined with a base storage of 128 gigs. Now, if you ask me, that's actually a pretty good start for this tablet and an actual upgrade from the previous generation that I have here. What they haven't talked about is whether they're going to have a fingerprint sense. I would love it if they could just slap a fingerprint sensor either somewhere on the side or I don't know, even an optical fingerprint sensor. I would take that.
Furthermore, I'm sure that face unlocks and also password unlock will be available on the s7 lite, the same as it is on the current Galaxy Tab, s6 light. But again it certainly would be very, very nice if they add a new way to unlock your tablet, like I mentioned, even with an optical fingerprint sensor, if they don't want to do a physical fingerprint sensor on it, oh by the way, if this is your first time visiting your channel. Well welcome. Of course, if you do like the content so far, I truly appreciate that now. Please do me a huge favor hit, both the like and the subscribe button there.
It's a tremendous boost to this channel and again I very, very much appreciate that all right, so the tab, seven light is still said to be released with a massive 12.4 inch display, and I want you to understand something.12.4 inches in the world of tablets is huge, and I know from the way I'm holding this 12.4 inches tablet. It doesn't seem like it's that large, but let me go ahead and put this into some level of perspective. For you, this is a regular size tablet right. So this is the believe, 11 something inches on the tablet. Six light, I'm sorry I forgot, but put that in perspective, look at it compared to this guy here.
This is massive. This is a huge upgrade you'll, be going from that small one to this very, very large tablet, that is a ton more screen real estate, which is always a good thing. Now this time around, we have four colors said to be made available, the standard and pretty sleek black variant, a silver one, a light green one and also a pink looking one Samsung is probably going to have like some fancy names for them, but so far those are the four colors that we should be looking forward to seeing, and these will also be available in not only different storage tiers but also in the Wi-Fi, only version a LTE and also a 5g version. Some additional physical features will include the dual speaker setup, so one on each side here and of course, those will be tuned by AKG, so it'll be the same setup as what we have on the regular. I'm sorry on the current on the current tab, s6 light here tuned by AKG, there's going to be an USB type-c port, a power button, the volume rocker.
Of course, some leaks actually do show a dual camera setup on the back making it look awfully close to the current regular Galaxy Tab, s7 light lineup. There also seems to be some type of keyboard pins at the bottom, which means that we could potentially have a dedicated keyboard for this little guy. Here, I'm even wondering whether the keyboard made for the regular galaxy, I'm sorry for the Galaxy Tab, s7 plus the large one, would be compatible with the Galaxy Tab, s7 light, since they are virtually the same size. Now I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't work, but I'm just wondering whether it would also be compatible with that be interesting to see, as you would imagine, it will indeed have a Samsung s, pen, probably a very modern one, a little like the one that we have on the Galaxy Tab s7. We just need to see what is going to have the same fancy features and fancy capabilities that the current Samsung s pen has on the tab, s7 that huge front panel is going to be equipped with the laps TFT technology.
Now it's still unsure whether it will have a higher refresh rate when compared to the current one for the longest time have refresh rates were only reserved for like super flagship devices. But then again, who knows Samsung has had that thing where they try to surprise us sometimes Samsung DEX, for example, was always reserved for certain devices, mostly flagship, but then all of a sudden, they decided to slap that on the Galaxy Tab, s6 like through the android 11 updates, which brings me to my next point here. This is set to be loaded with android 11, so you are likely to have one UI 3.1, you know out of the box, so out of the box is going to be loaded with android 11, with one UI 3.1 sitting on top of that also meaning that you are likely to you are definitely not likely you're, definitely going to have Samsung decks here. I wouldn't see why they would have that on the same on the Galaxy Tab s6 like and not on the tab. S7 light the battery is going to be at a strict minimum 7 000 William hour, but given the new features and the size of the upcoming device itself, I suspect that it will be at least a slightly larger battery and, of course, it will be fast charge capable now, if you did watch my first video after I came back from vacation, you may remember that the whole thing was about Samsung, well, the Samsung ecosystem.
I have no doubt that the Galaxy Tab, s6 lite, is being built with that in mind and will fit very well in it. I'm sure that you're going to be able to connect and ensure a type of galaxy continuity between this and other devices. In case you have other Samsung devices, and that's simply because Samsung has a manufacturer. Now is building each device as more of a piece of a puzzle that makes kind of that builds up to that whole ecosystem and makes it a little more uniform but anyways. That's all I had for you all.
As far as the Galaxy Tab, s7 lite goes. I know quite a few people still have questions about it, a lot of people, a lot of comments that I'm getting even on other videos on videos that are not even covering tablets. People are asking me, you know what about a tab, seven like when is it coming out? Do we have anything new about it, so I figure I'll go ahead and drop? This update, video sharing. You know what I've learned. As far as you know, this tablet goes, and I have the feeling that this guy is going to be very popular.
The Galaxy Tab, s6 lite is one of the best-selling tablets from Samsung. So this was one of Samsung's best-selling tablets and I suspect that it will be the case for the tab, s7 lite also but anyways. That was just my take now. Do you have any questions, or do you have any prediction as far as what this thing is going to come loaded with? Do you have any questions? Do you have any comments, make sure to put those in the comment section, I'm going to catch you down there, so we can get that little back and forth going? Of course, don't forget to like this video share this video. If you know someone who might be interested in watching it doesn't forget to subscribe.
Also, if you haven't done so, of course, if you haven't done so, please make sure to subscribe. I'm going to catch you in the next video like I always do, I'm going to catch you in the comments first and up until that next video make sure to stay safe out there.
