Please join the Kevin breeze tech community on Facebook to chat about budget smartphones, ask questions and help others hi everyone. This is Kevin here coming at you with my comparison between the Moto E 6 and the cool pad legacy. Now both of these devices are currently available on Metro by T-Mobile and if you go in your local Metro store you'll see both of these phones on the shelf. So the idea of this video is to kind of point out the differences and similarities of these two devices.
So when it's time for you to make a buying decision, you'll be very well-prepared. Now the retail price of the Moto E 6 is $1409.99 and the retail price of the cool pad legacy is $1709.99 and the good news is: is that you're really not going to be paying either of those two retail prices for either of these two phones, because Metro by T-Mobile is always running a bunch of different promotions? So, whether you're porting in or you're adding a new line- or you are upgrading your phone to one of these you're going to be saving a lot of money. For example, both of these phones are actually free if you pour it in from a different carrier to Metro by T-Mobile, and currently the Moto E 6 is free, with the new line, and I'm pretty sure that the cool pad legacy at the moment is also free with a new line. Now the promotions are always changing, so definitely go into your local Metro by T-Mobile store or maybe go on their website to see what those promos are. But the point is: is that you're definitely going to be paying under $100 for either of these two phones? Now the Moto E 6 features a five point.
Four five inch display at 720p with an 18 by 9 aspect ratio and the cool pad legacy features a six point. Three six inch display a 1080p and it also has an 18 by 9 aspect ratio. So you can see that neither of these two phones feature notches on the top, so they both feature kind of a more traditional design, but they also both feature that taller 18 by 9 aspect ratio which feel as an improvement over the traditional sixteen by nine smartphones, because these are a bit taller which makes them better for browsing the web, going on social media and viewing video content. Now, despite the Moto E 16 720p and the cool pad legacy being 1080p, both phones, actually a pretty good-looking display, so I'm a big fan of both displays here. They both have perfect colors.
However, it's pretty clear here that the cool pad legacy does have the better display of the two I feel like the colors on here is slightly better. It definitely pops a bit more, and it's definitely a better viewing experience. Overall, and on top of that, you can see how much larger the display is on the cool pad legacy compared to the Moto E 6. It really is a lot larger now. Both phones do feature your decently large sized bezels on the top and bottom.
So that is a bit unfortunate to see, especially nowadays, as phones are getting smaller and smaller bezels, but it is what it is now up top here in the Moto E 6, we have a 5 megapixel, front-facing camera and on the cool pad legacy we have a 13 megapixel front-facing camera, the Moto E 6 features, 16 gigabytes of internal storage and the cool pad legacy has 32 gigabytes of internal storage. Now both phones do feature micros card expansion, there's no wireless charging with either of these two phones and the Moto E 6 does not have a fingerprint sensor, but we do have a fingerprint sensor and the cool pad legacies, so I am big fan of fingerprint sensors I really wish that the Moto E 6 did have one and the one on the cool pad legacy is really quick too. You can see that literally the instant that I put my finger on that fingerprint sensor. The device does unlock compared to the Moto E 6, where, if I want to unlock this, it is a bit more of a cumbersome process and if you are used to using a fingerprint sensor on your phone- and you consider this to be an upgrade or if you actually do upgrade to this phone, then you are going to lose. That feature of course, and I feel like once you're used to using a fingerprint sensor.
It's really hard to go back, but let me know what you think about that is not having a fingerprint sensor in the Moto E 6 a deal-breaker. Now, on the back side, there are some differences with both phones. Regarding the cameras on the Moto E 6, we have just one camera at 13 megapixels. Now we do get portrait mode, though, with both the front and rear cameras on this device, which is a nice little surprise there and with the cool pad legacy, we have a dual camera setup on the back. Of course, we do get portrait mode.
We have a 16 megapixel main camera and a 5 megapixel secondary camera. Now the Moto E 6 features 2 gigabytes of RAM and the cool pad legacy has 3 gigabytes of RAM. The Moto E 6 has the Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 processor, and the cool pad legacy has the Qualcomm Snapdragon 450. So we do get a better processor with the cool pad legacy which is good to see, and of course we do have that extra gig of ram, which makes a considerable difference now, a video recording with both phones maxes out at 1080p, at 30 frames per second, with the Moto E 6. We have a 3000 William hour, removable battery and with the cool pad legacy, we have a four thousand William hour internal battery with Qualcomm quick charge.3.0 now both phones feature Android 9pi. They both actually have a pretty stock experience here, which is good I'm.
A big fan of stock Android, so I'm very happy with the software experience on both devices, and they both run really nice and smooth, and even though the Moto E 6 does have just 2 gigs of RAM and an inferior processor with the Snapdragon 435, it does do a good job at keeping up now later. On in the video, I will be doing a speed test comparison, so you can really see firsthand how the speeds really compare on these two devices. Now that I've gone over the specifications of these two phones, let's take a closer look at the hardware. So, of course like I mentioned, there is no notch at the top. Both phones feature 18 by 9 aspect ratios.
We have 720p at 5.45 inches with the Moto E 6, and the cool pad legacy has 1080p at 6 point 3, 6 inches, so pretty big differences between these two devices, but I am pretty happy overall, with the actual displays on both of them now I'm. Taking a look on the left side here there is nothing on the Moto E 6 and with the cool pad legacy we have the slot for the micros card and SIM card. Then, on the right side, we have an identical setup with the volume button and power button, then, on the top we have 3.5 millimeter headphone jacks on both, and we have noise-cancelling microphones in both. Then taking a look on the bottom, we have some pretty big differences. So on the Moto E 6, we just have the microUSB port for charging and data transfer, and I'm.
Definitely not a fan of this microbus I definitely wish it did have USB and on the cool pad legacy. We have the speaker. We have the microphone, and we have a USB-C port which of course, I'm a big fan of now. The back is removable on the Moto E 6 and when you remove it, you're able to access the battery which you can swap, and you can access the SIM card and micros card slot and on the cool pad legacy. You cannot remove the back of course, but that doesn't really matter to me, I'm just happy that this phone does have a 4000 million power internal battery, which really is massive.
Now, if the camera modules on the back of both phones, we have the flash. We have a Motorola logo on the back side of the Moto E 6, and we have the cool pad logo on the back side of the legacy. Let's now do a speed test comparison between these two devices, so we're gonna start by pulling up the camera application. So one two three go looks like the cool pad legacy was first at pulling up the camera. Now we're going to pull up Google Chrome one two three go looks like it was about equal on these two devices.
Let's now go to yahoo. com. One two three go looks like Yahoo is a lot quicker to pull up on the cool pad legacy? Let's go to engadget. com one two three go, and it looks like the cool pad legacy was first at pulling up and gadget, which is a great website by the way, if you want to keep tabs on the latest mobile technology, news and I guess any technology for that matter. Let's do a scrolling test now, so pretty smooth scrolling on the Moto E 6, it looks like some content doesn't load right away.
That might have something to do with the two gigs of RAM or the fact that the content just hasn't finished loading now we'll try out the cool pad legacy was scrolling pretty smooth, probably a bit smoother, compared to the Moto E 6, but I'm pretty happy with the performance of both phones when it comes to scrolling. Now, let's pull up this article, so one two three go, and it looks like the cool pad legacy was first at pulling up. The article so looks like an interesting article. By the way the guide to privacy do guys actually care about privacy, or is this something that's just being hyped up fascinating to know your thoughts about that? So it seems like in many situations the cool pad legacy is the faster of the two phones, but I've got to say the Moto E six does a decent job at keeping up, so I'm pretty happy with that. But I really think it comes down to your personal preference and the price that you can get these two phones at, of course, if they're both being offered for free, whether you're doing a port in or an upgrade which I don't think either these are ever for free for an upgrade.
But you get what I mean. Then, of course, what you're going to be paying for. These phones definitely contributes to your decision towards which one you should get, but I definitely think the cool pad legacy is the better choice of the two I think you'll be very happy with this phone, but I am pleasantly surprised with the Moto E six actually just bought the phone today, and I wasn't too excited at first just seeing the specifications, but the phone runs very smoothly. It has actually pretty decent cameras on it as well, so nice little surprise there and stay tuned for the full review video to get a good idea of the photo and video quality you'll be getting at the Motor. U six, of course, I've had my cool pad legacy review on my channel for a while now so check that out, if you haven't watched it yet and if you already have watched it watch it again, why not?
