Mi 20W Wireless Charger - Unboxing & Mi 9 Charge Test! By Frankie Tech

Hi guys its Frankie, Frankie tag, didn't see you guys again, and I'm here today with my second show me accessories unboxing today, I'm going to be looking at the wireless fast charger pick this up on the same day, I picked up the air dots and the special thing on this one. It's the 20 watt wireless charger that should work with the Xiaomi me 9, and we're going to test this out in a little. But first, let's do this unboxing, so I'm going to pull the tab there and, let's lift this up see what's inside here and in here we have the pretty basic materials just like paper box. Let's pull this out. Oh, these are all the accessories. Actually, so there we go.

We have a USB-C charging cable, and is this a wow? This is a 27 one yeah. This is a 27 watt charger, and it's the first time I have one of these in using the UK plug. This is the one we use in Hong Kong. As you know, I do have a 27 watt charger that came with the Xiaomi me 9, but this is the China version. So we'll move that aside here, let's have a look at the actual wireless charger and there it is.

There is the wireless charger mean wireless charger, 27 watts, I start 20 watts. It actually is that what it says there pretty much and what can I say this is a very basic white orb, it's just a white little pad, and it looks pretty good, and I think the cool thing about it is that is USB, but beyond that it feels very nice in the hand, very soft. It's got this kind of rubbery texture to it, see it in terms of height. There's a little light and everything else is just wireless charger. You know now, so I'm going to put this down next to the Xiaomi me9 and there you go.

There's the 9 on the actual wireless charger looks pretty good, but I'm going to set it up and let's get this charging test started. Okay, and so, while we're doing this, I'm actually gonna also charge. Another phone I'll show you in a second, but let's plug this in here to my outlet. So this wireless charger is now plugged in I. Got the meat on ready to go? Let's put that to the side there, and I also have the Redmi Note 7 pro, and this phone just happens to be dead, so I figured.

This is a good time to test the 27. Want wireless charger on this Redmi Note 7 pro and see how quickly it charges as well, so I've plugged that in over here and the charges are ready. Let's bring out a trusty timer and I got my good old pokey phone f-1, still working doing strong, running strong here on Frankie tech, Ivan I know you guys haven't seen this one in a while, but it will be serving as my timer for this quick charge test. So I have everything ready to go when I plug this in, because I just need to put this on the Charter, so we'll get started in 3 2 1 go plugged in, so this should just start there. It goes, so we have the Xiaomi me9 wireless charger.

Going to turn this on and FYI for you guys. You were wondering there. That's where the actual notification LED is on the v9. It's right here. At the top it's turning on there and look at that charged turbo on this me 9, so I think it is aware that it is on this wireless charger, and it is getting going here.

I just try to turn on the Redmi Note.7 pro sees if that turns out there, it goes looks like the battery's going to take a bit of time, but what we're going to do is revisit and see. How are we doing in 30 minutes from the time we started this test? 30 minutes? Let's have a look, so apologies ahead of time, guys I unplugged, my mic in the earlier clip, thus the kind of slightly worse audio there. But here we are 30 minutes in and how are we doing looks like the me9 is at 45%. That is pretty awesome. Considering it's only been half an hour of charging here wireless charging.

Let's see how the Redmi Note 7 is doing with the 27 watt charger 34% charging. So how incredible is that this wireless charger with the 9 is going faster than the charging the wired charging here using the Redmi Note 7 pro and the 27 one charger, so they're doing some voodoo magic here, that's pretty awesome, but we'll check this out at one hour and see how we're doing then. So here we are one hour in and let's see how we're doing the Xiaomi me9 is an 82% that is incredible. Considering this has been wireless charging the whole time and the Redmi Note 7 pro. Let's have a look 66%, so the gap just keeps widening between these two and let's see if we even get to 90 minutes at this point, but I will check in 1 hour and 30 minutes how we're doing and apologies I just stepped out of the room, guys the Shame mean I just hit 100% there.

You see it one hour, 26 minutes what an awesome performance from the Xiaomi me 9 and the Redmi Note 7 is at 90%, we'll see when it all wraps up, and so just so there's no doubt you can see it right here. This has been plugged in and this is shimmies 27 watt charger. That's been plugged in to the Redmi Note 7 pro this whole time, and we are still at 99% past the two-hour mark very disappointing result here for the Redmi Note 7 pro, and it proves to me there's a major discrepancy in terms of fast charging with the with Xiaomi is kind of more expensive phones versus their Redmi sub-brand we've been a 99% guys for well over 10 minutes and, frankly, it's kind of a joke. If you're going to be at 99% for 10 minutes, at least I mean I, just I, just don't get it I, don't get it, and I've tried numerous chargers. With the Redmi Note, 7 pro I tried the razor for quick charge, quick charge for charger quick charge.3.0 I've tried the 18 watt I've charged I've tried so many chargers here with the Redmi Note, 7 pro and Redmi Note 7, and they just can't seem to get that fast. Charging right, I have never once in all the charging I've done with this phone.

These phones there. It is that's the end of this test, and it doesn't really matter what the final time is, because it's well past a two-hour mark, and that is not as advertised Xiaomi with your 27 watt, charger and I think the 18 watt charger would do no better, but there it is 100%. That's the end of this test. Disappointing results on this side, but the 9 had some really awesome results, and I'm so glad to see that this 21 wireless charger is as advertised.
