LifeProof Fre - Ultimate Protective WaterProof Case - iPhone 11 Pro / MAX

What's up guys ran a race here with another tech video for gas today, and today we're a check-out a very famous case for the iPhone, and that is the lightproof are case. So, of course, the proud. Let's slice this up and slap it on the iPhone and give you a smack wick in-depth review. Lightproof is a very famous brand for the iPhone. They provide one of the best protective cases out there for the iPhone. That not only includes draw protection but also dust protection, so protection and, of course, the biggest feature of this- that is water protection, so popping this open.

The first thing that we get is the actual case here. Behind the case. We have your instructions as well as an included lightproof branded large microfiber cloth and, last but not least, is your limited global warranty, information and another one here for Australia. So take a closer look at this case you're according to lightproof. This is a new thinner design, so they remain relatively unchanged since the iPhone 10 but looks like this year.

They slimmed it down even more now with any waterproof case. The first thing I want to do, of course, is the tests out the case before we actually put your iPhone in so snap. The two pieces together submerged underwater and make sure it's not leaking. So it's a relatively easy case to install I, usually go volume button side first I also forgot to mention I just realize. If you have a tempered glass screen protector on here or even a plastic one, you do have to take it off, because this adds thickness the iPhone and the case was not designed for a screen protector underneath and just kind of work.

Your way around until everything snaps in place, so taking a quick overview of the new lightproof are case for the iPhone 11 starting off with your front here we do have a large polycarbonate glossy like a screen protector. That's built right into the case to obviously protect the screen, your phone, it's all sealed up, there's no holes or anything like that. So it's completely waterproof on the front of the screen, also giving you access to use the screen. The outer portion of this case is still made of some sort of this rubberized material, which is kind of nice. It's also lipping just above the actual screen protector, so you have a bit of bezel protection there as well on the side of the case.

You have covers for the power button as well as covers for the alarm rockers. They are a little stiff depressed, but you still get a nice tactile feel when you do press on them, so they work, but they are a little stiff. To vibrate and ringer switch here is also covered up with this dial, so we just turn it up and down to activate the switch, and it does work, and also you get a nice click sound to that as well. On the bottom of the case, you have two large waterproof meshes covers that. Allow sound pass through, but keep water out and, of course, you have a dedicated waterproof cover for the Lightning ports.

Moving towards the back of the case, we do have cutouts and covers for your triple lens camera, flash and secondary microphone. You have the lightproof logo engraved on the bottom, and the entire back does have a nice smooth matte finish now, even though the entire back part is kind of slippery, because it's a smooth matte finish, the top piece which is made of rubber does add a good amount of grip. So doesn't it feel like it's gonna slip out of your hands all right, so it's actually been about 2 and 1/2 months since the first half of the video and one of the things I wanted to do differently with this lightproof are case review this time around was not just show you guys that it's waterproof and throw it underwater under the sink, but to demonstrate to you guys my experience of using this case for a longer period of time and see if it really is a case that you could rock as a daily driver. So the first thing I want to talk about is eerie design for this year, like I mentioned earlier, lightproof did redesign this case and gave it a complete overhaul compared to last year's boxy shape design. The case is not only thinner but also significantly a streamlined, and the best comparable case I could compare this to is the Letterbox symmetry case.

So if you ever rock that case before this will be a very similar experience in terms of how it feels and looks in your hand. So when you first hold the lightproof are case, one thing you will notice is that, even though this case is super protective, it's not a very bulky case at all. It's a very comparable in regards the thickness to the Letterbox symmetry case, probably just under half of the thickness of the Letterbox Defender case and really again does add a hold on a book to the foam, which is perfect, as it won't feel like a brick in your pocket. The only thing that I, don't like with this case, is the fact that it does make, particularly for those of you, iPhone, 11, pro max users. It makes the phone feel a little wider than usual because of the added thickness around in bezels, which of course gives this case excellent drop protection like a new pair of sneakers.

You do eventually get used to it, Felice with my hands, and that being said for those of you with the large iPhone 11 Pro max, and if you have smaller hands that I do, then it may be a little of an issue using your iPhone with one hand, with such a large phone on top of that added extra bezel thickness. So it doesn't feel bulky in the hand because of the thinness of the case, but it does feel a little wider than usual. The next I want to touch on is the screen protector that is built onto this case so again after using a lightproof free case for a couple of months, now, I'm really kind of surprised how well this screen protector that light perfuse has performed. The first thing, I notice, is that the scuba Decker, even though it's made of plastic, doesn't seem to degrade the screen quality of the Retina display. Everything is crisp.

Clear, colors, pop and texts are sharp. What shocked me the most, though, is the fact that I haven't noticed any major scratches on the screen protector, I'm sure, there's a few hairline scratches here and there like any screen protector, including glass ones. Whatever lightproof did there's. Certainly some sort of oleo phobic coating. That's on this plastic screen protector.

It does resist fingerprints pretty decently, however, still will get them like any screen protector does eventually that being said, because the like coating, it also makes it easy to wipe off with a normal microfiber cloth. The other thing, of course, is the fact that the securing protector covers the earpiece on the top here, so I did get a chance to make numerous phone calls throughout the last couple of months and for the most part, you do have to crank up the volume a little more than normal, probably three or four stops, but for the most part, I do hear the person on the other end. Clearly, it doesn't seem to impede or impact the volume coming out of the earpiece that much there's a little of degradation in regard to volume loudness, but for the most part again it doesn't seem to affect the call quality and the same thing goes for the microphone. I haven't had anyone say the voice or the sound coming out of their phone sounds static or muffled, and no one has ever asked me to repeat what I just said. So for the most part, the waterproof membrane seems to be working pretty well as well.

The biggest hurdle for me with a screen protector is the fact that it does cause this oily effect on the screen, at least that's what I call it. Some people call it like a rainbow effect. I call it an oily effect, because it looks like those drops of oil coming off cars lining and a powder in the parking spot. Now when the screen is on, it's really not as noticeable, particularly with a dark background. So if you're like watching your movies, something it shouldn't, impede your viewing pleasure because of that, that being said, I do notice.

It is more on a white background, particularly when you're surfing the web, or even checking and reading your emails. You can see here the oily effect I like to call it is a little more prominent on a white background, and again it does actually move when you push your finger on the screen protector here. So it's weird because the lightproof are case screen protector isn't like a normal screen protector. A normal one would adhere to the screen when you install it this one here just lies on top of it. So that's probably one of the reasons why it happens like this, but yeah.

It's there. It's a little annoying I, wouldn't necessarily say I've gotten used to it, but for those you who like to surf the web a lot on your iPhone, it is something that may be a little annoying to you. A second last thing: I want to talk about. Are the buttons in shorts, there's still a little stiff to press even after two months. That being said, I like how they stick out of the case quite a bit and the rubberized, so they're very easy to feel and getting a grip on.

The dial here is also very easy to use. You can flick it with your thumb or your finger and I find it a little better to use an actual leaver vibrate ringer switch on the actual iPhone it's so it's nice to have both these work and your buttons and stuff are protected. Of course. So the last thing I want to touch on is the protective cover on the camera lens you can see here is a clear plastic cover to protect all three lenses, as well as the flash and the background surrounding the lenses are painted black to ensure there aren't any flash issues now, I'm, not an Instagram model or anything like that. But I do use my camera quite a bit for general purpose, uses I, don't notice any image, quality degradation between using the iPhone before and after with lightproof case on, but I'm sure.

If you took pictures side by side with and without the case on and blew them up, you probably wouldn't notice some sort of difference. That being said, just for normal use, I, don't think you're, going to notice. Anything at all. The only times when I noticed image quality is affected is if I have a fingerprint or something that's right on the protective cover as I do notice, the plastic cover to be more susceptible to fingerprints than the actual glass lens, and in addition to that, if you ever scratch up the protective cover on your camera lens, obviously that will also affect image quality. Since you just scratched up a clear plastic surface in Go Christian guys deal proof free case is certainly a great choice for those of you who are looking for the ultimate protective case for your iPhone.

The case is dirt proof, snow proof, draw proof and, of course, waterproof. The waterproof. Capabilities of this case really hasn't changed that much since last year. It is submersible up to 2 meters for approximately one hour. Obviously this isn't a case.

You want to go scuba diving with, but for those you who just want a case to protect your phone from wet environments like at the beach or Niagara Falls. Then of course, it's a great choice for those you want to protect your phone from water now I know: I'm going to get some comments asking about. Why would I get a waterproof case when the iPhone is already waterproof, keep in mind the iPhone isn't exactly waterproof its water resistant and even Apple states that so because of that, there is still the potential for liquid damage to your iPhone. If you get it submerged underwater in terms of any cons or things I don't like about this case, the only thing I could say is that oil effect on the screen back. There is a little annoying I, wouldn't necessarily say it's a dealbreaker, but for those of you who like to be constantly on your phone, a lot of surfing the web, checking Instagram Facebook all the time or even just watching a movie, then of course I would find that oily effect a little annoying.

The main thing I want to get out of this video is: can you rock the lightproof case as a daily driver? We all know it's a very protective case, but is it something that could be used on a day-to-day basis? And after using this case for two months now, I have to say: yes, you can't rock the lightproof case 24/7 one thing I really enjoyed about using the lightproof are case is I, never really had to worry about anything with the iPhone. It was completely sealed from the environment. I, don't use headphones with it, so I never needed to open any other ports up and because it has a wireless charging, you never need to open the case of whatsoever in collusion guys if you are in the market for the ultimate protective case for your iPhone, and you want something that slim protective backed by company with years of experience in making waterproof cases. You definitely can't go wrong with a lightproof. Free case anyway is saying to watch.

You guys hope you enjoyed the video, and you crush those comments in both this case. A screen, a common ancestor. There down below hit that like button as all its Hate's mail, and I'll see you all in the next video.
