Uh, I don't know, have no idea, someone yeah we're going to talk about the TCL stuff, so yeah so again, uh the the agenda tonight, the topics, the topic, we're gonna talk about these new TCL devices, uh TCL announced uh, technically four devices today, maybe five, depending on what market you're in.

So it was a big day for TCL, and one of the things you got to keep in mind with these TCL devices is that the market they're trying to serve in a world in a world in a world of one thousand dollar twelve hundred dollar fifteen hundred dollar phones- uh. These are welcome for a lot of people. I know that for a fact. So what happened to the crotch cam? You know I had a Loki cam set up for tonight. That was the plan.

I had a Loki cam set up. I actually had his perch in here, and then he took off it's a cat. You can't tell him to stay, I mean I had treats in here and everything he just pieced out pretty good, but I was really looking forward to it now. There's a few things about these TCL devices, uh that they didn't go into. There are details that people have been asking about that.

Hopefully I can answer for you today, because I did talk to my TCL rep and got some additional information for you guys. So hopefully I can answer some more questions we'll be going through some specs and things like that, because specs are important. You know they're important for people um, but I can tell you my first impressions are when you look at the TCL 10 l and the 10 pro from last year, and you look at the feedback that TCL took from the tech community from users etc. Uh. These are great improvements, the improvements they made, the changes they made and whatnot um.

I just I'm very hopeful, and I don't see why not I'm really hoping that translates to a perfect user experience, and I can't see why not. So I had a perfect time using the TCL, 10 l and the 10 pro I've, since, given those devices to family and friends, and they love those devices, I kind of miss them a little uh but yeah anyway. We're gonna finish going through the chat here and see who else we got the tech is a bonus, thanks. Man appreciate it. I appreciate all of you guys it's uh, it's been a weird time, I'm not going to get it.

I don't. Furthermore, I don't want to get to it, but it's just uh. It's been a weird time for Zach, so uh. Hopefully, hopefully things will get back to normal all right. We got uh one tech, mind how you're doing.

All right so TCL today announced um four devices, but two of them are very similar, they're, very small differences uh. They announced the TCL 10. Oh sorry, excuse me. They announced the TCL 20, l, TCL, 20l, plus tcl20 pro 5g and the TCL. I guess they're calling it the rolling fold it rolls, and it folds it.

It rolls, and it folds it is folds, and it rolls, and it will okay like seriously exciting stuff like it's uh anyway, I actually have the stinger videos, they're uh they're flare videos where you want to call them actually cued up here. I've turned off the uh, the volume for them and whatnot. So we're actually going to go through these, and then we're actually going to go through the additional uh specs, and things like that, so I actually have some uh. You know you guys know my favorite website here, GSM arena, I've got the 20 l, 20, l plus, and the 20 pro 5g up here, we'll be going through that we'll be going through images and things like that. All right uh, let's put you guys over here.

It's like it's! It's a three in one right, it's an it's it is! Furthermore, it goes up to. I think, up to 20 inches we're gonna. Take a look at the video, though uh we're definitely going to get to that. So in the meantime, let's take a quick look at the uh stinger video or the promo video. I guess you want to call it of the tcl20 l.

Okay. So again, these this is all part of the. What they're calling the TCL 20 series last year was the 10 series. This is the 20 series, so this is the TCO 20, l, okay, and again I've turned off the sound here, so 6.67 FHD, 91 body, screen ratio. Okay, looks gorgeous, though I like this blue color quad camera on the back.

We will go through the specs on that. I believe it's a flat screen or no, I think there were edges on there, we'll have to go back through. Of course, I got the next vision on there with the HDR 128 gigabytes, spawn board storage, Qualcomm snapdragon under the hood 16 megapixel self-shooter uh, the main shooter is a 48 megapixel, and again we will go through the specific specs about this. Okay, uh 18 watt fast charge, 5 000 William battery. Look at those colors we'll go through the colors.

Now that's the 20 l. Now this is the 20 plus. Okay, keep in mind. They are the exact same size at 6.67 inches the differences between the regular l, the plus um, there's, not a lot of differences, but there's enough there to you know to give it its own thing: 3d black, fingerprint sensors. On the side.

I like it, I really like how they put the fingerprint sensor in the side: 64 megapixel main shooter, the other one was 48: okay, again: 5 000 amp battery fast charging, okay, two colors; okay, so there you guys go there is the 10 or sorry the 20 l and the 20 l plus. Now I'm going to bring up. Actually what I'm going to do is I'm going to bring up some images here. Let us go and we're going to share. I didn't have this screen queued up, because I didn't think I was going to do this all right.

So another quick look at the devices themselves. Okay, we got the uh 20l there, two different colors again we'll go through the color names here again uh, but so a quick spec breakdown, 6.67 uh 6.67 inch FHD plus screen quad camera. So it's a 48 megapixel main shooter 8 megapixels, wide 2, megapixel macro and 2 megapixel depth, 60 megapixel, selfie, 5, 000, William battery 15 watt, fast charging, HDR, 128, gigabytes of onboard storage, Qualcomm, four gigabytes of ram, and it has a headphone jack. There we go hey. We got a super chat here from excuse me, alt, dad tech appreciate you being here: buddy uh, where's my sound effects.

Here we go and all right, all right! Oh yeah, we had a good. We had a good chat today on uh on. Was it twitter spaces whatever, but appreciate man? Thank you for that super chat. Now, let's go to the 20 l plus now I know a lot of people are not going to be able to unless you're really looking for it um.

So here's the breakdown of the 20 l plus again, it's the same size. I know that a lot of us are used to looking at devices, and we see when we see plus we automatically assume the device is bigger. The device is physically the same size, but it's just a little bigger under the hood. Okay, so the specs have been bumped up a little more again, it's a quad camera setup. It's a 64, megapixel main shooter, the other one was 48.

So there's one of your main differences, six gigabytes of ram, the regular ls4 and 256 gigabytes of onboard storage. There are different colors as well for the l plus. Otherwise, those are your main differences. Again. The l we're going to go through those differences as well.

Um. Excuse me, excuse me we're going to go through some of those differences as well. So again, there's the l, okay, let's go ahead and remove that, and I'm going to bring up my favorite website. You guys know we always talk about this website here, GSM arena, we're going to stop sharing that, and we're going to share this screen here, because this will make it really easy for you guys to see dual speakers or, yes, are always welcome, absolutely um. So this is one of my favorite websites.

Now what I've queued up here is the 20 l on the far left, the 20 l plus in the middle and the 20 pro 5g on the right now before we go through this I'll, give you guys the video for the uh for the 25 g. So let's take a look at this right here. This is for the TCL 25g. This is the promo video, okay, so of course, their next vision, which is on all devices. That's their proprietary technology there for the awesome screens.

If you guys ever use a TCL device, the screens are just like wow quad camera setup. On the back, I believe they're using a specific Sony sensor on the back as well: hdr-10, okay, so 256 gigabytes of onboard storage, Qualcomm, 5g, 15, watt, wireless wired and there you go, so that's the 20 pro okay 20 pro 5g. So let's go back to the website here now. What I've done is I've highlighted this, so this specifically shows the differences again. The 20 l's on the left, the 20 l plus, is the middle and 20 pro 5g is on the right.

Okay, now the 20 pro 5g will use an AMOLED hdr10 display: okay, IPS LCD for the uh, uh 10 uh, sorry, 20, l and 20. L plus, okay, strap snapdragon 662 under the hood 750 on the 5g, that's on 25g, okay, Drano, 610 and 619. And again I was talking about the 20. L is at 128 gigabytes and 4 gigabytes of ram and the l plus as a 256 and 6 gigabytes ram. Those are your basic difference right there in terms of memory.

Okay, so you get 128 and four gigabytes of ram on the l and the l plus is 256 and six gigabytes. Okay on the 25 g, it's 256 and six gigabytes. Okay. Now another difference between the l and the l plus your main shooter on the l is 48 megapixels on the plus it's 64 megapixels other than that. The depth sensor, the ultra-wide everything else, is the exact same all the videos setting all the video recordings, the exact same 1080p, uh, 30, 120, hertz, sorry, 120 fps is available on there as well, and then, when you go over to the uh 20 pro 5g 48 megapixel 16 megapixels on the ultra-wide instead of eight uh, the macro goes from two to five and then the depth is at two megapixels: okay, the selfie camera on both the l and the l plus are both 16 on the 20 pro 5g.

It's 32. They double that up there, and that is basically it. The l. Both l models are 5 000, amp batteries. The 25 g is a 4 500 William battery okay, and you also have wireless charging on the 20 uh.

Sorry on the 25g, uh no word about wireless charging on the l models, but I don't believe it's there. Now, those colors there are SP. Every model has their own colors. Okay, so on the regular l, you're going to get eclipse black Luna blue on the plus you're gonna, get Milky Way, gray and north star blue, and on the 25 g you're going to get moon dust gray and marine blue. That's it! So not a lot of differences between the l and the l plus.

It really comes down to camera, the main shooter again 48 versus 64. And in terms of um ram. So you can have four gigabytes versus six gigabytes and 128 gigabytes of storage on the l versus 256 gigabytes on the l plus and then, when you go to the 20 pro, as you guys can see here on the far right here. This is when they've beefed up the specs across the board. Okay, now um I've actually had a few people see.

If I can stop sharing this. I've actually had a few people message and ask me: what can you tell me about pricing like what? What do we know about pricing now during the presentation TCL did mention European pricing? I can tell you right now, after talking to my rep from TCL, that the European pricing will not convert to what we expect for here, uh for the United States and Canada. Okay. So, as we get closer to the actual release date of these devices in hand, then we'll get a better word about the actual pricing. So don't do not take the European pricing that was quoted today and convert that to u.

s. It will not be accurate. Uh I mean yeah you'll get an accurate conversion, but that's not what TCL is going to price them at. We also don't have information about carriers. Last year there were some carriers in Canada, the US that carried these devices no word yet about who which carriers are picking up these devices.

So we have to basically gotta, stick around. We have to keep on uh. We gotta hold on for a little here, find out. You know who's going to be carrying uh these devices and the exact pricing. Okay, let's go back to the chat here and see what you guys are saying.

I know I've missed a few things as I was going through the specs here: okay, um, dual speakers, yep yeah, the flush camera setup is very nice, absolutely Jeff. Absolutely my uh. My scrolling here is really slow tonight, I'm not sure what's going on here anyway. So a couple of things I wanted to go over with uh with this, because it was interesting because for mo for most tech reviewers today uh we were all in the chat uh. The live chat on YouTube, commenting about this and whatnot.

If you were not there this morning, watching the press conference or watching the release and whatnot the live stream- and it was very interesting seeing some comments from some people- they were uh. You know there was a lot of the comments were very much in favor, because I think the TCL devices were well uh well-received last year across the board with the tech community. But there were a few comments today from people, and I'm not going to say who that were complaining that this feature was missing, that something else was missing and whatnot. I need. I need everybody to understand that TCL is not trying to compete with the galaxies and the OnePlus 9 pro devices, and you know all these high-end devices they want to be in the mid premium market, that's actually what their pre, their actual press release, actually says, and so, when you're in that mid premium market, you need to make certain sacrifices.

If you want to meet a certain uh price point and also be able to still offer features to people so yeah, there is no high refresh rate on any of these devices because that's not the market. These are for okay, uh and things like that on the l and the l plus, it looks like there's no wireless charging, but the price will reflect that properly. If you look at the history of TCL's devices, you know obviously going from last year and what their vision is. Okay, again, you need to set your expectations because of where they want to be okay. Now, if TCO wanted to do a high-end device like that, they absolutely could do that.

But that's not the market they're going for so set your expectations properly. If you're up here, if you're always, you know looking at the high-end devices, and you're wondering why don't they have that because that's the market they're not gonna, that's not the market they're competing with and that's not that's, not the market they want to be in. They want to be in the market where people want affordable value, driven devices and that's what these are going to be. Just like last year's TCL, 10, l and 10 pro. I can't wait to get my hands on these cucumbers.

Where is it? Where? Is it where's the button cucumber there we go here. We go anyway people. Now there was one other device that TCL unveiled today, and we didn't get a lot of the uh information about this, and it is their role. I hate this song jeez. I got.

Furthermore, I need to remove that from the list. Anyway. Here is the promo video for the uh rollable fillable, sorry, rollable fillable, I don't know, did they actually give this thing? A name, TCO roll t-shirt. Excuse me TCO fold and roll TCO t wow tcl full enrolled. I can't talk tonight, sorry guys, uh anyway.

Here's the video for that today. This is this just looks- I mean I know. Foldable are nothing new, but this thing also rolls this is wild. So here it is I'm folding, okay, and then it's unrolling. It's rolling.

The display rolls out to like become wider. Six point, eight seven inches okay and then it un opens the 8.85, and then you can expand it even more up to 10 inches. What did you guys see this? Okay, we're gonna, we're going to watch this one again, because I'm just this just blows my mind. I mean we. We've seen them talk about this before, and we've seen it's just and the fact- and we've also got confirmation today- that this will be coming to market this year, full and retractable exactly exactly exactly I'm doing very good Steven d.

Thank you for being here, go gadget phone. Finally, exactly so, it starts at 6.87 unfolds to 8.8 and then up to 10 inches. What? What? No? I guess, that's cool! That's really cool! So I'm really I'm really hoping I'm really hoping. I'm really hoping. I can get my hand on that, because that is wild.

Furthermore, I have yet to use a foldable device. Furthermore, I have not used a full device um, but that's cool. That's that's, really cool to see TCL doing something really neat like that because they talked about. They talked a bit about doing stuff like this last year. I believe they did and so to see.

Something like that. You know come up. That's that's really cool um! I do have some images here. Let's see here, share screen, so again your three different sizes right there, okay, so just fold it up. It looks to have a really cool design.

Looks like we have. Obviously USB here at the bottom speaker looks like really, really wild stuff guys. I can't wait to get my hands on that. I hope, hopefully I can get my hands on it. Uh just looks really, really wild so anyway, what do you guys think about all these? What do you guys think of the TCL 20 l and 20 l plus, and then of course, it's the 20 pro 5g, I'm looking forward to all three of those uh traditional slab devices? If you will, because I want to obviously compare to last year, I had a- I had a really great experience using the uh, uh 10 l and a 10 pro 5g from last year, especially the 10 l, especially the 10 10 l, because I was like how can a device be this like the price it was at and pack this much and I was really amazed and then the 20 pro sorry, the 10, the 10 uh pro from last year as well, was amazing as well yeah.

We got techno how you're doing keystone sex says he says it's sexy. I have to agree, and I really dig the colors as well um, let's bring up these colors again. If I know how to share my screen all right there, it is boom. So there's the 20 pro 5g colors I mean I like I, like anything, that's blue. I mean just take my money that that gray kind of black color is nice too.

Here's the l plus again, all three models have different colors uh, but they're. All like blue or gray's kind of black kind of thing. TCL does not do boring colors. They do really, really good colors. They make interesting colors and then here's the regular 20 l really like this kind of you know thing they got going on here and again.

The biggest differences between the l and the l plus again guys, is going to come down to the cameras, uh, the ram and the storage. That's basically the main shooter cameras, either 48 or 64. , so the ls48, the l plus, is 64. Um and then 128 gigabytes on the LDL plus 256 and then, of course, four gigabytes around or six gigabytes of ram. That's basically it.

Obviously the colors are different as well, so good for them good for them. Uh Jeff! Now so this. I was thinking the same thing here Jeff I'm now torn because Jeff says now: I'm torn between the 20 pro and the stone easy, the Sony, Xperia 5 uh three. I have not looked okay. Furthermore, I've only seen some basic stuff on that, but I was thinking about that today too.

Furthermore, I'm like dang, also there's all these great devices just come out of here anywhere. So yeah competition breeds awesome, um, it's too bad lg's, not around anymore as well right uh. How long will TCL support updater devices? Good question bob? I know I'm going off of memory from last year and I think they said three plus years, but I will get confirmation on that. Okay, uh. I will definitely get confirmation on that.

Okay, bob now you guys will notice that the 20 l, the 20 l plus, are not labeled as 5g. So that's going to bring their price down. The 25g is well, it's got 5g in there. So again, if that's one of those important things to you or if you're, an area that has a perfect 5g, you can do that. I've personally turned off the 5g antenna on my devices because I've been at home and my 5g comes and goes- and it's really not that fast anyway.

Here in Canada we don't have the millimeter wave that you guys have in the United States. So you know it's nice to kind of have some choices there as well. It's nice that TCL kind of looked at the market went okay, you know 5g, depending on where you are within North America. It's still rolling out. Let's give people a break with our introductory devices, with the l and the l plus.

So again, let's take another quick look at the introduction videos here, one more time uh. This is for the 20 l ttl20l, very, very nice, dual speakers: there again 128 Qualcomm, underneath the hood there 16 megapixel selfie, quad, camera setup, 48 megapixel main shooter. I can't wait to get off the mountains with these devices. A bunch of the new parks out here just recently opened up too so.18 watt, fast yard, 5 000 William battery at 5000?m battery. That's boom all right and then of course, here's the 20, uh, sorry, 20, l, pl, sorry, 20, l plus, excuse me and again the main differences between the l and the l plus is the main shooter you'll see you guys.

You guys will see here. That's a 64 megapixel and 256 gigas, big gigabytes of uh storage and six gigabytes ram, fingerprint sensor on the side. Very nice hit the like if they call them mega pickles with you. Yes, exactly dude 64, megapixel uh main shoe there super night mode, 2.0 all-day battery 5000 William, I'm excited man, because I've talked about this lately and, like you know, uh anytime, that uh, like accessibility, is a good thing. Uh.

You know you if you've been doing this or been watching stuff, as long as I have and whatnot you've seen the progression and the in the mobile market in terms of devices- and it seems like we've really started to plateau in the last couple of years- um, but we've seen prices go up and up and up, and it's like okay hold on. Can people still get access to really great devices without giving away a kidney or selling their? You know, selling their left leg uh. You know, that's what that's that's. What TCL is trying to do here? They do this with all their stuff, TVs and whatnot. So I mean I have a series four upstairs that I absolutely love uh.

Let's take a quick look at the 20 pro okay and again, this one has 5g um lots of different stuff under the hood as well. Look up right here, how you're doing so again. This is the 25g really enjoyed their presentation today, too TCL just got right to it, and it didn't mess around good presentation for the whole thing love this blue color. Oh my god, it's gorgeous yeah keystone! It's a nice upgrade! It's absolutely a nice upgrade that gray color! Oh, that's, nice, 256, gigabytes of onboard storage! I mean yeah, you can be taking a lot of pictures, 15, watt, wireless beauty, beauty and one more time we'll take a quick look at the uh full and fold and roll fold and roll. Oh, where is it here? We go see I'll fold and roll.

This is just wild. I can't wait to get this in my hands, so it starts at 6.87 unfolds to 8.85 and rolls out to 10 inches. Are you kidding me? I mean the applications for that. I mean I've talked about this before and I'll go on record again. I personally, I personally don't have a use case for this kind of device.

However, I've never used one. So it's hard for me to fully commit to that, because I haven't used one. So I'm sure if I get one of my hands, I can find a use case um, but I really like the idea of unfolding and then getting even larger. You can think about the applications for that. If someone who's on the road all the time, maybe they're only using that device, I mean they're just going through my head, all sorts of use cases so anyway, people those were the TCL devices.

Today, um I'm impressed I'm impressed, I'm I'm looking forward to it see if you guys can spot any differences here with the studio. I don't think you guys can how's this camera look um. So yeah again, I think we're looking at the release dates of April and may I believe it's what they said April and may so when I have a better idea of uh exact release, dates uh. If there's any carrier um any carriers can the US will be carrying them I'll, let you guys know and of course, pricing, so pricing we still need to lock down a little carrier support, okay and obviously availability. Okay, so we'll see what happens um like I said earlier, they did announce pricing uh.

If you go back, and you watch the presentation from today, they did talk about some pricing. It was in European pounds, do not convert that to U. S. , and then you know this is what you're pricing U. S.

they've. I've been told that that will not be accurate. That will not be accurate. Okay, so TC obviously has a plan here for Canada, us, which will be really, really nice to see. Why is my chat not catching up here? This is really weird.

My chat is not catching up, but that's okay, because uh, I think we're gonna. I think we're going to round things out right now, people. So unless there's anything else, you guys want to go over tonight or discuss or whatnot um. I don't really want to talk about the OnePlus devices, because it's been fascinating for myself, sitting back and going hmm right um, especially with the revelation of certain things that don't work unless you're in certain modes and things like that uh watching all your guy's review. Videos on the on the OnePlus devices has been a lot of fun as well, so uh yeah.

For some reason, my chat is not uh catching up there. It goes that was really weird. It was completely blank here for the live, chat on YouTube and then over here it was not in order. What do I think is happening with the Samsung event um? First, I don't know I got as much information as you. I was told tune in this day.

I think it's going to be a laptop with uh, an Enos processor in it. That's my that's what I think it's I think it's going to be a laptop, it's pretty obvious by the animation video. It shows it opening up it's its! It's most likely a laptop there's, no way it's a phone uh, it's going to be a laptop or something like that. So we'll see what happens, it should be interesting anyway. It's always good to have more laptop options out there, a laptop with galaxy branding.

That's what it seems like because you look at the. If you look at the promo, it says the most powerful galaxy ever, so I mean it's not a phone uh. We would have leaks and everything by now. If it was a phone, it's definitely it's definitely a laptop, probably a laptop with some sort of Enos uh powering it or whatnot. We'll see we'll see I'll, be watching the thing that day, well we'll probably do a break-down here anyway.
