If you guys, like this video use, my Amazon affiliate link, found in the description where I will earn a commission. Okay. What I want to show you guys are the issues I'm having with my Lenovo tablet. This is an a2.8-Inch tablet seems as if it doesn't want to charge, so I've been charging it overnight to notice this morning. It wouldn't turn itself on not indicating any activity any power at all. What I discovered was this is actually a boot up problem.
The battery might very well be fully charged, but you have to open this up in order to drain the battery completely and get this thing going as usual. Yes, I'll show you what this entails, and first I'll show you how, when you plug it in it, does absolutely nothing I'll, try turning it on nothing, hitting the power button, nothing at all, okay. So what you need to do here is flip it over and start by opening this up. If you have one of these, because what I discovered here was there's a set screw. So this comes apart relatively easy.
All you have to do is put like some sort of pick into this edge and run it along until it frees itself up so mine's pretty much already apart, and I noticed like I said, the screw here: you'll need one of these tiny little screwdrivers to open that up, and you might potentially need the screwdriver as well once you open it up to pull off the connector going to the battery. So let's unscrew this, obviously don't lose that screw. Okay, so that's a part, then you're going to run this around here to free it up all around this edge. So now this side's pretty much free, try to do without damaging anything. Obviously, this side's going to give me a bit of a challenge.
Okay, so I'm done most of the hard work off camera and I guess now. This is the part that most people don't show you on YouTube videos, but I like to show you guys my struggles and whatever types of problems you might encounter along the way. What I'm trying to do is get it under there and pry away from the tablet away there. You go so level of difficulty, I'm going to say initially, it's going to be hard to get this pick underneath, but once you get it in you'll understand uh how easy it is so uh one to ten one being the least difficult, ten being the most difficult. I would classify this as I'm not going to say it's easy, that's an understatement.
Let's call it a five once that's open we're going to have to find the connector. So as described on the YouTube video that I'd watched, you have two screws here: a set screw here set screw there. You just pretty much, have to pull those off disconnect that connector and then hold your power button in order to drain the battery completely. So I'm going to give this a try and whether it works or not. You guys are about to find out.
So I'm going to pull these off. Hopefully that's the only issue, and it's nothing other than that, because it seems like a fairly simple fix and what I wanted to do with this tablet was put it in my car. Getting this off now is going to be the fun part. Okay, so that's up and out, okay, so that's off and out of the way, this piece and now what I need to do is just lift this. Your buttons are down here on the bottom, so this would be your power button.
It says to hold that depress that button for about 20 seconds to completely drain your battery, so I'm going to go ahead and do that. Okay. That was definitely the button. Now I'm going to go ahead. I'm going to give this a try.
Hopefully I didn't get ahead of myself. Push this back on here. Okay, we're connected, and I'm going to try booting this thing up before I put it back together. Obviously, so, let's see if this does anything at all there, you have it as always, thanks for watching. I hope this video was helpful in getting your tablet going.
