Kyocera hydro shore, the not so waterproof phone has a successor!! By SplashDance

So remember our about a year ago, and I need the video on the coyote or hydro view. You know, they're, not so waterproof. One well I've got a successor here that can I use, Sierra, hydro short, we're going to test this thing and see if it really is waterproof all right. So here we are down here looking at the device itself. So let's open this thing up see if I can get good angle, damn it Oh perfect, clean here, uh, regular box. It's got this weird cardboard thing on the back: I, don't like it! Okay, so the outside weird thing: starter manuals start here: 600 user guide, hydro, Shore, warranty, standard, USB power, adapter and looks like we have looks like yep.

Just what I thought it was standard, microUSB, just standard USB holy look. How short that is! That is so short: that's not all the crap out of the way and take a look at the device and nothing else in here. Here's the device- yes looks! Good I, don't know how open this anyway, let's peel off this shitty screen protector. Look at that flawless, Less! Okay, we'll do a first boot test, and then we'll get right into the water test. Camera.

Well, this boots in case you wanted those yes shut, the up, TT water-resistant, ip57, android 5.1 up to eight gigabytes. That's! What's on the internal memory card, five inch display 5 megapixel camera plus to make this front-facing camera yeah. There looks like a book here: ok and start connect. Wi-Fi typing experience is actually pretty good, though not great at typing. I.

Think I just did that wrong. Whatever it's authenticating save she connects. Let me take that password down uh-uh hate, sneezing, dammit keyboard, so yeah, like I, said this phone has ip57 water and dust resistant. It has nearly the same rating as the iPhone, but it doesn't have the same dust rating. It has the same water rating so should survive 30 minutes and three meters of water.

According to the box, yep three feet: thirty minutes, which is same potato okay, let that boot I manuals that I get with every phone like seriously. Who needs this much paperwork? The only reason I would buy this phone is because of that waterproof rating. If I was gonna, buy a budget phone to use that, and I'm not gonna, be working on like a construction site or a boat I'd get the detail you 22 plus review pending. You know, you're getting so much more for 70 bucks. We're getting dual front facing and back facing cameras, fingerprint sensor, Android, 7.0, dual bottom firing speakers, a metal, chassis well battery. This one does not have a removable battery and its carrier unlocked.

So you can use this phone on AT&T, Verizon, Sprint or T-Mobile, whoever you want. So it was my money. I'd get the UK. Tell you 22, plus only reason. I pick up the Kyocera hydro shore is because of that waterproof rating.

That way. I. Can you know if I'm working on a boat, or I'm working as a construction worker? If I drop this phone I don't feel you know, I got a quick dry it off, throw in some rice. You know I pick it up, wipe it off. It's good to go now.

This phone also has a rugged feeling, so I like that, but it's also $40. So if you lose this or break this, you know it's no big deal well. This is $70, even though it's probably no big deal. If you break it, it's still a little more money, so I'd be a little more I'd, be careful with what I'm when I'm taking my phone, but this one. It's got a rugged.

Rubberized back feels durable, and it does have a flash. Let's check the power of that flash. Oh, my god! There we go kind of a weak flashlight. As you can see, it's very weak might look powerful to you, but to me, it looks crazy weekend Y, so we're going to charge my camera battery real, quick, and then we are going to waterproof or water test. This in my bathroom I'm gonna start getting a bath ready all right people here we are we're in the bathroom ready to test this phone in water, but first yeah.

Nobody wants those documents. Alright, so I'm going to get down here. Oh, you all do one and then three unlock the phone to one okay folder. It looks totally fine. I'm going to dry, it off real quick, so it can survive a few seconds to shut that yeah totally unfazed.

Okay test part two three two one, not very functional underwater Hawker. It is working, it's not about failing it's not having power failures of any kind, no condensation. The cameras which upset were that part back, no condensation the cameras, which is good, so now we're gonna. Do a few accidental drops Oh No, oh good, alright guys! So since the Kyocera hydro view this phone right here, yeah since it did survive, I'm going, do you want I, guess I'm going to have to do a review of this I was kind of hoping it would die that it would not survive. But, as you can see, it's totally fine as you can no condensation in the camera, zero condensation in the camera, so it lives up to its name of being water resistant.

It's not non water resistant. If, like the view, so I don't know if the view just wasn't rated appropriately or if I put it through too much abuse, but a couple spills here and being in the water for a little will not affect this device. This device is, in fact waterproof water just came out of somewhere or that's how well, anyway clean this off yeah and a new band-aid but anyway, so it's not like its counterpart. It is in fact waterproof. So what I recommend buying it? The shore yes I, would I think that this is a good phone and I.

Think that it is, you know what this one's dirty. That's a brilliant feature of this device anyway, but I would recommend drying off your device before and after getting it wet before getting it like this, after getting it wet just to make sure, and I am going to air this device out just to make sure that it doesn't have any lasting effects that I'm not aware of, but camera looks good foam looks good, so a review of this device will be coming soon.
