What's up everyone, so, as you guys know, I had the iPhone 10 I still have it right now and another iPhone that actually is still sold at the Apple Store is the iPhone 7 plus. So why not do a quick comparison between the iPhone 10 R and the iPhone 7 plus and see which one you should get? Maybe if you have a certain budget, if you should get a 7 + or if the iPhone 10 or whatever, basically, what I'm telling you is as a whole in an entire package, the iPhone 10 R is probably the better phone overall. So I'm saying is: if you have an unlimited amount of money to spend, definitely get the iPhone 10 or I mean it does kind of lack in some areas, ?, which is kind of weird, especially when you consider these 7 plus came out in 2016 but as a whole. I would still say the iPhone 10 R is a better phone, I guess, but that doesn't necessarily mean it's quicker. It's faster it's this or that and there's a lot of areas that the iPhone 10 R does lock in. But looking around the body, you can easily tell that the iPhone 10 R, in my opinion, looks better.
Ok, now looks can be deceiving because, in my opinion, I still think the iPhone 7 plus feels better even the matte black version of the iPhone 7 plus feels better than the iPhone 10 or, and also going one step further I had the jet black version of the iPhone 7, plus for a very long time and I actually enjoyed the way that look I, think that was deep like greatest the hacking design of the iPhone that it wasn't like full glass. So it's just like a brush ?, whatever that was, that was super cool, and if you can't really crack it I mean you can crack anything really but like. If you dropped it I wasn't afraid of the glass breaking or anything, but it still looks so sick and with the iPhone 10 are the best way. I can explain, I mean you have glass on the back. We don't have it on the 7 plus, but what I'll say is like the iPhone 10, or feels way more, like a 6s plus with a glass back.
That makes any sense. One weird issue with my 10 are without the power button was actually like clicking in and making like weird clicking noises which didn't happen on my 7 plus, and it doesn't happen on my 7 plus that I have now, even though the 7 plus has a crack screen a little, you know, I can fix it easily, but I still think that the 7 + feels better and more premium in the hand than the iPhone 10 or and the screens actually, as you guys know, the iPhone 10 our screen isn't really the best. It isn't the clock that the highest frames or anything like that or the highest resolution, it's actually a 6.1 inch panel, the iPhone 7 + out of 5.5 inch panel, and the thing you have to keep in mind is that you have Phone 7 plus it only has a smaller screen, but it's also higher resolution, and it also has a higher PPI. So it's 1080 by 1920 it's around 401 pixels per inch, so it's pretty decent I got, and I didn't have anything to hate on it, actually. But when you look at the iPhone 10, our panel was a 6.1 inch panel like I said, but the resolution is only 828 by 1792, so that gives us around 326 pixels per inch. So on paper, not only is the iPhone 7 plus screens resolution is higher, but also the PPI is higher as well, so you're going to get a much better display on the iPhone 7 plus then on the iPhone 10, all right now, really the only advantage the iPhone 1000 has is that it does have true tone display, which you know, is kind of cool and everything.
But if you're coming from an iPhone or a phone in general that doesn't have anything like that that warms the colors, you won't miss it because you don't even know when either seven-plus I honestly didn't care. There were so many other things. I was complaining about like global warming and plastic straws and stuff. That I had no problem worrying about that now. I'm, just not worried kind of, but what I'm trying to get at is.
The screen is definitely way better on the 7 plus, even though what lacks true tone I, don't think that's like a missing feature or anything like that. I mean, if you don't have it like I said you won't care. So really the only advantage. The tunnel has is true tone, but everything else the 7 pluses panel is way better and another thing the iPhone 10 relaxant is forced touch now a lot of people, don't care I personally, like in the boat, that I do think it's kind of important, especially if the technology exists. You might as well put on the phone now $750 for the iPhone 10 or is not cheap, because when the iPhone 7 plus came out, that was actually around seven hundred sixty-nine dollars for the base model.
None granted d7 bus came out of the 32 gigabyte variant, the iPhone 10, or came in a 64 gigabyte variant so about twice the amount of storage you get increased but what's the excuse last year with the iPhone 8 being released at $6.99, which was cheaper than the Eiffel Tower. But now we have a phone, that's even more expensive than that, but it's technically the cheaper model like it makes absolutely no sense. So the removal force touch really made it like way. Weirder. They should have never done that.
They should have priced the iPhone 10 or a little lower in order to make it more competitive, because when you look at Apple's past, and you look at the iPhone 8 and even the iPhone 7 or whatever and those release prices, you can see that there's an upward trend, and it's just crazy that they did something like that. But that's for another video or even a video I already did I. Think I made a video talking about the upward trend in Apple's price and everything, but moving on to software. This is pretty important because, technically speaking, I mean no matter which way you look at it. The iPhone 10 R is going to last a little longer than the iPhone 7 plus now at a maximum.
It's going to last up to two years longer than the iPhone 7 plus. If you get it now, we'll say, is that the seven plus could have the ability to extend for one more extra year. So really there could only be one year of software updates difference, but also going one step further. The iPhone 10 arc could extend for another year. So you don't really know at this point.
We only have about like two or three more years left on these seven plus, where we have literally multiple years so many more years left on the iPhone 10 area like it's just not even funny, so we're going to have a long history with the iPhone 10 R, because it was just released. We also have quite a bit of time with the seven plus two: it's not like one's going to ask much she'd like decades longer than the other. It's not the case. If you get both phones now, I mean they'll. Last you like a couple more years, the 10 or obviously is going to last you longer, but that is kind of one interesting thing to note before we even move on to the hard way because and the specs inside a phone, because those things are pretty important.
A lot of people want to phone, that's going to last them a while, not only in hardware, but also software as well now moving back into the hardware. This is where these phones are quite a bit different, but they're also very, very similar as well, and a lot of the ways that they should matter now. The iPhone 7 plus when I came out in 2016 it had a quad-core CPU, the Apple 810 fusion chip and three gigabytes of RAM with the iPhone 10, or has the hex core CPU the Apple, a 12 Bionic chip and three gigabytes of RAM as well. So you have different chipsets. You have different CPUs, but you actually have the same amount of RAM on both so technically speaking, you'll be able to have more apps in the background and everything, but going one step further.
I think the speed between these phones is going to be better on the iPhone, 10, or obviously I'm, not saying the iPhone 7 plus is going to be fast or anything like that. But what I am saying is that there could be a possibility that the difference in speed between these two isn't as crazy as some people might think, and the only reason I bring that up is because the price difference between these, especially in the used market I, know at the Apple Store it's a little different they're only like 100 something dollars off, maybe 200, but on use prices you can easily find an iPhone 7 plus for less than $300 easily. So that's less than half the cost of the iPhone 10, or so it's kind of one thing to keep in the back of your head. You know like do you want to spend that extra money for a phone? That's only marginally better in some case of backwards, step. I! Guess that's what the speed comparisons for now speaking.
Parents is an issue everything, but it kind of gives you a good glimpse. Of you know what to expect out of this phone. So let's go ahead and show you how the speed comparison, wet now, I, actually believe it or not. My microphone broke on my camera, so I didn't want to talk or anything like that. So I just talked to this mic now for the remainder of the speed comparison, I'm just going to play a song that I made my beats.
If you want to listen to this song, I'll leave a link in the description. I'm actually going to have a mixtape coming out I'm, just full of my instrumentals already made one last year, but it's time for me to do it, no one, and whenever I do no one I'm gonna, do it like a new outro and everything, so I'll play a song, hope you guys enjoy it, and I'll be back once this speaking person's over, so I hope you guys not only enjoy the speed comparison but enjoy my song as well again, link down below, but moving on to something else that a lot of you guys might complain about is actually the camera. Now, as you guys know, the iPhone 1000 has a single sensor and these seven plus had a dual camera setup on the back of the first iPhone, to bring something like that which was super cool and all the sensors are 12 megapixels, including that two sensors only 7, plus, and I'll. Tell you like this again, ok from a bird's eye view, both photos, look pretty good on both I'll be honest. Okay, you have port remote on both.
You do have kind of more settings on the iPhone 7 plus, but it's not that big of a deal. What I'll tell you is that, like I said, if you're an average person, if your average user you're, probably not expecting the moon and back, and you're not expecting like the craziest usage or crazy as this, and that I mean you're, expecting a camera that works and yes, maybe iPhone 10, or it's better I'm, not saying these 7 plus is better. The iPhone 10 has a lot of advantages. It does have more video frame rate speeds, so you can do 4k up to 60 frames per second and 1080p it up to 240 frames per second, we can only do 4k at 30 frames and 1080p at 120 frames on the iPhone 7 plus, which honestly isn't that bad, especially when you consider the price and everything, but definitely a contender, has the advantage of 100%. You know the 4k 60 frames, but that's pretty much the future and that's going to future-proof yourself quite a bit when you look forward, but these seven plus I mean the way I see it as long as you can shoot, 4k that camera is going to be decent.
Definitely going to last you many more years to come, I mean 1080p is still pretty much the standard for a lot of places, and it's a slow increase to 4k and everything like that. So we're just going to have to kind of wait and see what happens with that. But what I'll say is yes, the iPhone 10 our camera is probably better, but the iPhone 7 plus easily is it close again. I mean I would say the Eiffel Tower. Camera is 100%.
The f17 plus is probably like around 85% I mean it doesn't really like anything. If you compare photo side-by-side, maybe there's a decrease in quality for the 7 plus, but not even because they're, both the same megapixel count. Another interesting thing is both front. Cameras are 7 megapixels. Really.
The main difference here is that the front camera on the iPhone 10 or can shoot 1080p at up to 60 frames per second. We can only shoot 1080p up to 30 frames per second on the front camera of the iPhone 7 plus. So a little of difference there as well, like I, said the 10r does have the advantage, but as a whole, I would probably say that the 7 plus, like I, said it's not too far off than the iPhone 10 are, and I'm moving on to another interesting topic: the battery life of both these phones. Now what I'll say is that the iPhone 10 are like I said. Not only does not have forced touch, has a new optimized chip, but also has a lower resolution screen less pixels to push on the screen, but also has a bigger size battery by a little.
So the iPhone 7, plus out of two thousand nine hundred million power battery the iPhone 10 over, had a 2942 million power battery and, like all those things, I just stated in everything, the iPhone 10 art is going to give you better battery life than the iPhone 7 plus. Now, when these specific phones, the difference is a little less the iPhone 10 or definitely has better battery life. It's not as crazy. As going for my can I phone a to an iPhone turner. I mean that, but that battery life difference is pretty large.
But what I'll say is that if you took the same usage in the end of the day with like around 20% on the seven plus, you could probably get up to like 35% on the iPhone, 10 or same usage, same everything, so you're, probably getting like 15% better battery life, which is pretty big I'll, say you know, 15 to 20 percent, that's kind of like a broad statement. It could be less, it could be more, but that's kind of what I'm leaving at I'm as different per phone. But this difference isn't as crazy, like I said, with the iPhone 8 or whatever, but I'll say that the battery life is definitely pro another huge advantage of the iPhone 10 or is that it does have QI wireless charging with you. Half on 7 plus did not have that. So you can easily throw your phone on the charger and be said you don't have to worry about it.
So it's definitely a really awesome thing and, as a whole, like I, said, and I said this in the beginning, after bring it back up now, but the iPhone 10 or is 100% a better phone am I saying it isn't, but in a lot of ways like I said earlier, I mean it just kind of loops around, and it's like, hey, okay, it's better than this, it's better than this, and it's better than this, but it also lacks in this. The screen isn't as good. If you compare them side-by-side, I mean. Obviously the tenderizing is good and there's no force touch. There's this there's that it doesn't feel as good as a 7 plus.
So there's a lot of things. That kind of come down to it, and it's really just a 100%, personal preference. You know the size holding it in the hand is about the same. The 10r is a little smaller overall, but you also get a bigger screen, no touch ID. You know everything, so I mean there's a lot of similarities between these phones, like I, said the same amount of RAM technically the same megapixel count on the cameras almost the same battery size.
Obviously the tenor has better battery life, but also you don't have headphone jacks. You have the front-facing stereo effect kind of, but you also have ip67 dust and water resistance on both as well. So that's pretty cool I mean you can throw these in water up to one meter for thirty minutes and be set, so I'll definitely say that there's a lot of similarities between these and if it was in my case, I, don't want to hate on the iPhone, 10 or because I know: I love, Apple, I, love, iPhones, so hating on the iPhone 10 or just hating on iPhones in general and I, don't hate it. The iPhone, Town Hall I. Wouldn't spend money on it waste time getting in if I thought it was a waste of money and I know I made that video, but I, don't think it's always some money right now.
So what I'll say is that, yes, the iPhone 10 are probably is a better phone overall, but value per dollar I would definitely say a use iPhone 7, plus that I can get for easily under $300. Probably around 250 at this point would be a much, much better deal than a brand new iPhone 10 or you can usually get like 128 gigabytes, iPhone 7, plus for like less than 300 guys I promise you I could probably find one in built and buy one, so when I say is to go to the Apple Store, try them out, but in my opinion I would probably end up going if I was on a budget or anything like that. I'll probably end up trying to save money, get these seven plus user for a year to wait for the iPhone 10 our prices to go down and the huge market and applying those, but really guys that choice is yours.
