iPhone SE (2020) VS Google Pixel 3a Charge Test

Hey guys welcome back to the channel technical talks here so today, I'm going to be doing another charge test and this one's going to be between the Google Pixel 3a on the left and iPhone SE 2020 on the right. So let's talk about battery sizes on these phones, the iPhone SE 2020 has a smaller battery with the 1821 William hour capacity and the Google Pixel 3-8 has a 3 ton, 3000 William hour capacity. So it's way bigger than the SE. As you can see. As you can see, it's 1,200 almost 1200 William hours bigger, but there's going to be one difference. The thing is the gold pixel 3ei ships with an 18 watt charger, so it has fast charging, but the iPhone SE 2020 ships with a 5 watt charger um.

One thing I would like to point out is that the iPhone SE does support 18 watt fast charging. So if you would like to get that fast charging capability, it's not in the box. You have to buy it separately from Apple, but right now, I'm just going to be using the cable that most people will probably be using or the break that most people will be using, which is the one that ships in the box. So I have my chargers right here. The USB gold, Pixel 3a uses USB-C charging right there and lightning charging for the iPhone, so I'm going to get the timer ready, set the timer right here.

Okay, it's move the camera a little and then move these phones right here. So the timer set whoops the timer set now, and we will start at once. I plug these in, so the two cables are right here: they're, both dead as you can see, blue Pixel 3a is dead. iPhone SE is dead, so I'm going to get the plugged in and once they're plugged in we're going to start the timer plugging in the gold, Pixel 3a and then the iPhone SE, okay, so they're both plugged in now I'm charging their both charging. Let's start the timer, and we have started so you guys know the process.

I'm going to get back to you guys every 30 minutes and at the end, I'm just gonna wait until one of them finishes, so I guess now that they've started charging 30 minutes later we're going to get back to you, guys we're almost at the 30-minute mark now seven seconds six seconds left. So, let's check out the battery on these phones. Let's look at the Google Pixel 3a first, as you can see, 51% right there and now, let's check on the iPhone I, see 20/20 29% right there. So there's a pretty big difference right there, almost half the iPhone is almost like a half of it of what the Google Pixel 3a is at and that's kind of disappointing I'm not going to lie. This does have the bigger battery, but I guess we're going to see the end results and the thing is this: iPhone.

If it did ship with its 18 watt charger that it does support which I feel like it should have it's it doesn't cost too much. Anyways and I feel like Apple could have been included that charger the past charger, what the iPhone SE, if it's gonna, give it these capabilities, anyways I'm just kind of what they did on the iPhone 11 as well. If they didn't include it, even though it does have that capability um, you know, I, don't know the reasoning behind it, but I guess that's what happened when it to do well, if they did include it, I feel like the iPhone SE would just rock these tests, like just be all these tests, just because it does have the smaller battery, and it does have the same fast charging as the Google, pixel, 3/8 or most other forms that support like 18 watt, 15 watt charging so um right now. So this is at 30% now, and it's at 53% um. So it's been 31 minutes, and I'm going to give it back to you guys once that hits an hour.

So I'll see you until then I just checked that Google Pixel 3a, and we just reached 100%, as you can see right there. One minute represent, so it took an hour and 31 minutes. I did wait a minute, so took an hour and 31 minutes. It does vary between sometimes I get 32 33, but it doesn't change too much so now in 31 minutes for the Google Pixel 3a and the iPhone SE is 85%, so not too bad the iPhone SE did catch up. So now only has a 15% difference, and also I'd like to point out something there might be a 50% difference in charging right now.

But the thing is in my daily usage when I use both of these phones, the iPhone SE would get me longer battery life, the Google Pixel 3a, even though it has a bigger battery um, it would deplete it way too fast. I, don't I'm, not sure why, but for some reason it would just deplete the battery faster. It's probably because it has the higher resolution screen and the bigger screen, but I don't think it should have affected it that much, but so far in my daily usage for both of these phones, the iPhone as you would get the better battery life so might ride slower by maybe not too much, but it still has more battery life during the day or more screen on time. So once iPhone as he reaches 100% I'm gonna, get back to you, guys, hey guys were almost at 2 hours and 20 minutes and around 20 seconds, and I'd like to point out something: we've been on 99% for around 18 minutes now, so I checked the timer at 2 hours and 2 minutes in this phone. There's iPhone SE had reached 99% so after that I've been waiting for it to reach 200%, but if, but it has been 18 minutes exactly 18 minutes and this phone is still stuck in a knapsack I'm, not sure why this is happening.

Is it? Is there a flaw? Have you guys experiences people that have an iPhone SE? So this is the first time this is happening. Well, it's been taking way too long, and we're still at 99%. It's been 18 minutes, so I'm not sure if there's a problem, but I'm take it out of charge now because I'm, pretty sure this should have charged up to a hundred in 18 minutes, but, as you can see right there, so in two hours and 20 minutes, um I guess we're at 99 percent, and we have not had progress for the past 18 minutes. So just comment down below. If you guys have experienced this issue or if your iPhone SE has as well has this flower like just doesn't charge I guess because it's been 18 minutes um.

So the winner for today is obvious. Already the Google Pixel 3a at one hour and 32 minutes. Was it something like that around 32 minutes? So that's a clear one for it for the group Pixel 3a, his iPhone SE took almost an hour longer, so I guess that's it for this video don't forget to Like and subscribe and comment down below some video ideas and also don't forget to comment down below. If you are having this issue as well with the iPhone SE and that's about it so have a good day and see in the next video.
