iPhone 8 Plus Battery Drain By Black Bear

What is up guys welcome back to the channel today, I'm doing a video that was requested to me a while ago. I just was able to do it today, because these types of videos take a long time. So today, I'm going to be doing an ? impulse battery drain test. It is 12:30 1:00 p. m. as you can see.

I just took it off the charger like 10 seconds ago. It's at 100% I want to do a two-hour YouTube video long test, one hour at gaming. What is it I'm gonna, be on feebly news, f, and then I'm going to do some camera tests and then for cave recording to see if this thing will die out. So I have my stopwatch right here on the side. Let's go find a YouTube, a YouTube video, that's 1080p and 2 hours, long, all right! So we're going to use this one two hours long and since my camera can't really record for two hours straight I'm, just going to leave it right here a little and the time has started right now.

So I'm gonna just make sure that the settings are all on 1080p and stuff. So the quality was at yeah, the quality is at 1080p and the settings are it has Wi-Fi on, and it is connected to an uh. It is using Wi-Fi right now and the brightness here I'll show you guys, so you guys can see, so it's around half, or I'll. Let me look put it up a little more. All right.

Like there it's around half you can see, it has Wi-Fi and the signal also, and I'm going to put the volume there, and I'm going to leave it running, and I'll update you guys once the two hours is done just so, you guys can see because the camera will die out in like thirty minutes, so yeah, so I'll be back, and I have myself watch here. Don't worry, I'll keep that all going, and this is gonna, be the iPhone 8 plus battery drain test and I hope you guys enjoy it so two hours from now I will update you guys to show you guys how much the battery has drained and keep in mind. This is with a six-month-old for no three or four-month-old iPhone, 8 plus. So this is what you can expect from the battery after a couple of minutes. Now it's been two hours and five minutes now the video has just ended, let's see what the hell's our batteries doing, and then we're going to go into the feebly test, which is where I spend an hour. Well, you guys won't see me spending an hour, but I'll be checking feebly, and this is to simulate like people were just reading news and stuff like that, so I'll actually be reading through the news and stuff for around 45 minutes, and then I'll just leave it be there. Feebly is an app I use like every day and I just spent on there looking for deals and stuff like that and cheap stuff, so we're at 2 hours in 6 minutes, and we have dropped 20% exactly 20% and, as you guys can see, the only thing in the background is the settings and then the YouTube app so now, I'm going to open up the feebly, app, and I'm gonna just start reading. Some news- and this is gonna- be an hour, so I'll just be over here reading some deals and stuff, and this test is gonna, run from 2 o 6 to 3 from 1 hour. Exactly so I'll be on here for an hour, and I'll.

Let you guys know once the hour is done, how much the % is. So, as you just remember, it's dropped 20% in two hours, so that's 10% each hour overall, pretty, pretty decent in my opinion. So let's see how it does in this feebly test and then after that, we're going to do an hour of asphalt, 8 or another game, and then we're gonna. Do some 4k video recording, so I'll be back in an hour peace. Alright, guys we're back.

It's been an hour almost since I started the feebly app we've lost 5%, it was at 80, so we lost 5% in an hour. I was just thumbing through this looking for deals and stuff. You guys want to find some good deals. Just you slick deals on the film, and you'll find some good deals, but I was just watching deals and finding stuff to buy and stuff like that. So now we're going to go on to the gaming part of the test, which is the asphalt 8, so we're just going to open up asphalt, 8, and we're going to do an hour of that and after that, I wanted to do a what they called 4k video recording of it.

So I'm gonna start out the asphalt aces cc and, let's see start to solve all right, come on career all right. Something just started up, and I will update you guys an hour from now so to let you guys know how the phone is doing. Remember it is at 75% after three hours, so I'll take you guys after peace, all right, guys, whoops, sorry we're at 4 hours and 11 minutes. Now it's been over an hour of asphalt, 8 batterys at 47%, so we have dropped around 30% I. Think from the steps we did, it was the feed we now I'm going to start the camera test.

So let me go to the camera and switch it to 4k 60fps highest I can do on the camera, and I'm going to start recording I'll. Probably do, however long it doesn't toy, it dies so to get it into video, 4k, 60fps, and I'm gonna just start recording. Now, okay, and I'll update you guys once it is dies, or it's close to dying, or I'll do an hour of this. So if it doesn't die in an hour, I'm going to do back. I do another one hour of YouTube might as well so yeah if it doesn't die in an hour.

I'll do another hour, YouTube, so update you guys after overall I'm, very impressed with the battery life. Furthermore, I didn't think it was I mean I. I do know that the battery life will get you through a full day. So right now we're our four hours, and we barely hit 50 below 50%. So see you guys.

After all, right guys. One hour has passed since I started this test. I did accidentally stop the recording at when I was like around 15, so I started another one, but now it's reached 45. So it's been an hour: the phone is feeling pretty hot to the touch right now like pretty, pretty hot like uncomfortable hot. So you would not want to be using this phone right now, like the butt right here.

This right here is really hot. The back of the phone is hot. Only we want to touch it, but, as you guys can see, we are a 14% so where I have five hours and five minutes. So what I'm going to do is. Oh, my SD card is done, hold up one.

Second, all right, so I'm back sorry about that. My SD card died. Hopefully this one worth rose, I'm going to be pretty pissed. So, like I said, the phone is pretty hot. We're 14%, so I might just go back and do another YouTube video I would not recommend using the phone at this stage.

Because it's really hot, but I mean just for the video sake. I'm going to keep going so I'm gonna. Do the two-hour three-hour relaxing music find something there you go so come on. I was just three hours of three hours of 1080p. Oh my gosh come on there.

We go. Alright, so we found another one, and I'll update you guys. Oh, do you guys want some once we hit that last, like 5% I'll, do the'll do the last update on it because I don't want it to die before I can update it, so I'll keep an eye on it. So 14% now, let's see if the phone can reach another 25 minutes, 30 that'd be pretty good. So overall the iPhone 8 plus has been doing pretty well on these tests.

The YouTube one did two hours: I did two hours at YouTube playback right now and was the first part of the test, and then we did which dropped it to 80%. Then we did in our Film, which dropped it three or four percent times like that and now, whereas four eight dropped it to forty-eight percent and then an hour of 4k video recording dropped, it is thirty more percent to down to 14%. So right now we're at like 13 14 % and we're going to do another hour or, however long it lasts watching another, some more YouTube video 1080p video. Alright, guys I'll see you when the phone is about to die, alright, guys we're back 5 hours and 40 minutes, iPhone 8 plus, you can say, I'm going to call it quits right here.4% overall I'll keep the timer running while I'm talking over all the phone after the 4k. Video test was really, really hot, and I'll just keep the video going as well might as well just say yes and see alright, so I'll keep talking alright, so iPhone a post battery life test a battery life drain test, which was this.

We did 2 hours of YouTube. Well. At this point we did our 40 minutes and 2 hours and 40 minutes of YouTube and still running the first two hours at YouTube within a 1080p test with 50% brightness 50% volume, and we dropped 20% in those two hours which wasn't that bad. In my opinion, then after we did one hour of a news app, which was the feebly app which dropped us around 3 or 4%, which wasn't that much of a decrease I, don't know if I should take that one out I was watching. I was reading fees like news and stuff like that on the app, so I was using it, and then we did an hour.

I've asked for a gaming which brought the phone down to like 48 percent, but the major killer of the battery was the 4k 60fps recording test that I did the phone got extremely high I think we dropped from 48. We dropped to 14, so that's 30% drop, which was a huge drop and the phone was really hot. Guys like it was super hot. You don't want to touch your phone. You should just like not be doing that to your phone.

It was an hour of full 4k 60fps recording which, in my opinion, most people won't take more than like 10 minutes of 4k 60fps. So I really pushed the limit of the battery. Hopefully it doesn't affect it in the long run, then, after that right now, I just started again well, not right now, but then, after that, one hour of 4k 60fps I started the YouTube again in a more YouTube video and this time we're at 33 minutes of YouTube. So we did walk around 2 hours and 30 minutes of YouTube and then all the other ones. So, in my opinion, these tests are not based on real world usage because that one's gonna usually use their phone like straight up like that at 6 hours in a row or, however long the last they'll, usually like put it in their pocket for like a good hour ? or barely check anything.

But this was just a test to show you guys what the battery drain test would be and a little about what I want to get next another phone, which would be the s 9, plus or whatever them the plus model would be or the main 10 profile either deciding on one of those two I don't know yet, but I'll see when the s 9 comes out. I'll, let you guys know I'm, sorry, I haven't been recording that much have started school recently, have a lot of classes and a lot of homework. So maybe I'll get a video out once a week. Something like that. One again I just don't want to do tech reviews, tech, videos anymore, like I wanna, do more than that.

I will continue to do tech videos because it's like my hobby and I, really like taking stuff like that, but now I just take anymore, but overall iPhone 8 plus battery drain test. Let me check the battery one more time before I end the video and then after this I'm going to start a look at this weird thing. Look at these guys. Half of this screen is black. Half of the screen is the actual content.

Look at that, so I guess it's just like a little bug or something that happens when you flip the phone around too quick or I, don't even know, but, as you guys can see, we're at 3%, so phone is definitely going to die soon. It's starting to bug out on me, I think it's because it got too hot, but I'll. Let it get to 5:45, we'll call it an even number like that. We'll keep it at nice and 5:45 sounds good, but after this I'll be doing a what's, it called a charge test using the big, fast charge thing supposedly method, so I'm going to do that after, and I hope you guys enjoyed this video, you stopped the video takes so long to do so.
