iPhone 7 Plus Unboxing By IGN

What's up guys this is Justin I'm. Here with Brian, we have the brand new iPhone 7, plus it's silver, it's 128 gigabytes, and we're going to unbox it here for you yeah. So you get a couple of different size options for the iPhone 7 in terms of actual physical size in terms of storage, it goes up to 256, I think yep. Some of the new changes they made, which is a lot of storage for a phone but uh yeah. This thing's really cool the box is very slim and minimalist, like yeah I mean, as alloys do they're sort of packaging. Many other companies have copied to the point that it's not even really an Apple thing anymore, but just like the presentation in the box- and the first thing you see is designed by Apple in California, we got open it up, and before we get into the phone itself, it gives you all they give you a couple little.

Thank you all these great stickers, I, don't know where you supposed to put these on your car I mean: do you put it on your phone? It already has an apple on it. I mean look, I am an Apple fan, I have Apple computers, I have Apple iPhones, but I'll tell you where I put those stickers in the trash in the garbage canvas right. Just a user guide, little information about just the different modes and phone, just some little paperwork that you get there before yeah you're, not really going to get anything like a big manual on this. Everything is sort of just self-explanatory once you turn the phone itself on. So this is silver, which is interesting because the front is white, and the back is silver.

So if you have a case, it really is just yeah phone I've always used a've, always used the black iPhones I. Guess I didn't even make that connection, but yeah you're right the front. The front is still white and oh, the best part I, don't know about you. For me, the best part of any unboxing is peeling that sticker off. Oh goodness, gracious! That's the business right there and then all the way off the front too.

Or you see the thing we're like you'll, see a grandma on the bus or something and there's still some terrible film. That's got like bubbles or garbage I'll ever understand that so this is. This is actually pretty interesting. I don't have a plus I. Do I got one sitting right here, so this is a six plus, not a 6s, but it's 6 plus.

So these look like the same size, they're the same size, yeah, they're, I, don't know if they're literally the exact same size down to the millimeter, but they didn't make any major changes that, for me, yeah flip, the back over. You can see what the major differences is. The camera now looks completely different on the 7 plus it's much better. It's got a 2x telephoto lens. This thing takes gorgeous pictures.

I really can't wait to use it. I travel a lot and together just kind of walk around snap, a picture instead of going into buying a really expensive camera. If you're semi serious about photography. This is a good phone to have yep I mean ign. com.

Has all the details on the major differences between the 6 and the 6 plus and the 7 and the 7 plus, but I mean all Santos right that that's the big, big key differentiator here? Are they actually put for the first time a much different and much better camera tech in the Plus model? M the 7 plus. This is just a set other than that like looking head-on, these look like the exact same phones, yeah you're, not really going to get a lot of wow factors well, except obviously they dropped that headphone jack. Yes, that's one of the major differences. Obviously, if you look at the bottom, so what kind of headphones do come in the box? Yeah, I mean that's something we were talking about before we started recording this doesn't come with the wireless air pods yeah, so it certainly looks like it does the way these are packaged, yeah that little box right there actually makes it look like these are Wireless, but no, these are wired. It's important to note that you have other options.

Besides those external $160 headphones, you can get wired headphones in the box right here. They just plug directly into your Lightning port. Instead of your head function, yeah, let's go ahead and take these out, and we'll just show off I, don't know, I hesitate to call it a feature: I guess the biggest point of discussion or the biggest thing. That's on everybody's mind when it comes to the iPhone, 7 and 7 plus, compared to ? 6 yeah, absolutely so today they drop that headphone jack and you and I were talking about this. But for us personally, it's not really a big deal, but I started thinking about when this could be cumbersome and that's when I'm, traveling, and I have my 3ds and my MacBook and I go to plug my headphones in and I.

Don't actually have that option so yeah, so I mean there. It is yeah. You know you have that lightning adapter, which is apples, proprietary, adapter, and it was normally used for the charging cable and now the charging cable and the headphone jack of the same thing so slightly different design on this actual headphone jack here. But for the most part, it's its. You kind of your standard-issue head function.

Yeah, I mean to me the way that I use headphones. It's not a problem because I plug my headphones into my iPhone I, don't plug them into a 3d S or into a Vita. So to not have the know normal headphone, adapter and instead use a proprietary. Adapter is not an issue sure but, like you said, I do understand the complaints that other people have where hey now I need to get an adapter to use my fancier headphones. That I, like so tucked away on the back of the actual headphone case.

Is this lightning 2, headphone or headphone 2, lightning, adapter, it's very, very tiny! We almost missed it in our unboxing, it's very small but uh. It works sort of as intended. You just plug it right in, and it's an adds, an extra what inch and a half to your phone, and then you can plug in any set of headphones right in here. So it's got the most ideal scenario and, like I said it's very small you'll probably be prone to losing these things. Hopefully, they're cheap down the line.

I, don't know what they think they go for, like 9 bucks right now, yeah I think so, so yeah, that's that's an option you have. If you want to use your standard-issue headphones right now, it does come with every iPhone comes with a charging cable as well. I feel like most people that have been buying phones for a while have don't receive every they're buried. Their house is actually buried in them. Now these are actually my small children and dogs lying yeah.

Yes, I'd go through a couple of these in a phone's life I've seen like lightning cables are not the most durable things in the world. Luckily uh the techs been out there for so long now that you can get them like third-party ones on Amazon, for like seven bucks, and so it actually is. One of the complaints is since that charging cable and the headphone cable are the same. Now you actually can't charge and listen to headphones at the same time. So sure, hopefully, won't be that much of an issue, because this thing has a really, really great battery life, but still it's definitely a trade-off, and it's something you have to consider before you buy the phone itself, and you also get the little USB adapter to let you plug it into AC outlets.
