iPhone 11 vs. XS Max 2021 Comparison: A Tough Choice

Hello and welcome back to another video, so I've gotten a lot of questions regarding which iPhone is best for certain people. So I decided to do a comparison between the iPhone tennis max and the iPhone 11 in 2021. Both these phones go for around the same price, on the used and refurbished market. For this comparison, video we are going to focus mainly on the differences between the two devices rather than going into detail into every single category, because these are so similar, and I'll have full reviews on each of these. One of the biggest differences between these two phones comes in the display and the design both have glass front and back, but the side rails on the 11 are made out of aluminum, whereas the side rails on the 10s max are made out of stainless steel, which just feels more premium. The 10s max has a 6.5 inch, 1242 poled display, whereas the iPhone 12 has a 6.1 inch.828 p lcd the 10s max is absolutely unmatched. In this category, I can notice a huge difference between OLED and LCD, as well as the resolution, and then the bezel sizes are also quite different.

The 11 has chunkier bezels for sure and for part of these reasons, content consumption is a huge win on the iPhone 10s max. If you watch a lot of content on your phone, then this category is not even close just because of the display of the 10s max both have a great speaker system. That sounds top-notch for a smartphone, but I did find that the 10s max is a little more clear, and I think it has to do partially with the bigger speaker size. The base is where you notice the biggest difference, but either way both the speaker systems on here are excellent. A category I found to be quite similar between these two is battery life.

The 10s max I tested had a 100 battery capacity because it is a refurbished model, so, when you're going to buy make sure you look at that see what the battery percentage is at and the 10s max has a slightly bigger 31.74 William hour battery in comparison to the 3110 William hour battery in the iPhone 11. With that said, I have found slightly better battery life in the iPhone 11, and this is probably due to it having to power a smaller display with fewer pixels. With that said, the tennis max does have the advantage of an OLED display. So if you're using dark mode like I always do that's going to save you a good amount of battery on here, so one of the biggest differences will probably be in the efficiency of the a13 bionic, rather than the a12 bionic. Speaking of the a12 bionic versus the a13 bionic, the performance difference between these phones, although it is there, it is very insubstantial.

Both phones are plenty fast and will stay that way for years to come. It is an advantage for the 11 in overall performance with the a13 bionic, but I still gravitated towards the 10s max for gaming because it plays games just as well performance wise and the display is just so much better. So although performance would go to the 11, I'd probably give gaming to the 10s max. Like I said, both these phones are going to be fast for years to come, and that's partially due to the software support that both get. We know that iPhones get amazing software support over the years, and these phones will be no exception.

It is worth noting that the iPhone 11 will likely get one more year of software support, based on what we've seen in the past. Both these run the newest version of iOS and are great in 2021 before we get to my final verdict. Let's talk about one of the most important aspects of the phone to many and that's the camera systems. Both are pretty good overall, but there is a significant difference between these two. So the 10s max uses a wide angle and a telephoto lens, whereas the 11 uses a wide angle and an ultra-wide lens.

Now I personally value the ultra-wide lens over the two times telephoto, because you can't mimic the ultra-wide lens, whereas you can mimic the telephoto lens with digital zoom on the 11. Overall stills are just much better on the iPhone 11 and that's due to apple, putting a big emphasis on the image signal processor for the 11 series in general, I find the images to be sharper with better HDR and, unlike the iPhone 10s, the iPhone 11 has a night mode, which I find to be very useful in dark situations plus. I believe this does get deep fusion as well as for video. The iPhone 11 also wins in that, but it's a smaller victory in comparison to what we've seen in stills, both take very good videos with awesome, dynamic range. It's just something apple's done really well for many years now.

Overall, if the camera system is the most important aspect of a phone to you by far, then the iPhone 11 is the clear choice here. With that all said, let's go to my final verdict. The iPhone tennis max would actually be my personal choice due to the design, the significantly better display and the larger form factor. If you want the better content consumption experience as well as the more premium feel, then the 10s max is the option for you. However, if the camera is the most important aspect to you, and you want the better battery life out of the two, then the iPhone 11 would probably be the better choice for you.

Personally, I can't knock anyone for going with one over the other. It's just that the display is so important to me and that's why I would personally choose the 10s max, but it might not be to you. I hope I was able to highlight a bunch of the differences between these two great devices in order for you to make a decision based on what you would choose. Let me know in the comments if you would take the iPhone 10s max over the 11 or the 11 over the 10s max. So that's been it.

Thank you. So much for watching and peace.
