iPhone 11 vs SE 2020 By Nick Ackerman

So, what is up guys Nick here, helping you to master your technology, iPhone 11 vs. iPhone, SE 2020 full comparison now. The first thing I want to cover is some key specs. So the iPhone 11 does feature the four gigs of RAM Apple, a 13 chipset 6.1 inch liquid Retina display aka an LCD, that's a lot larger than the past and on the back, you do have a dual 12 megapixel camera here. Also interesting to note here is that the iPhone 11 does have IP 68. This one only has I P 67, so it's better sealed for water and dust.

Now the iPhone SE over here has a 4.7 inch Retina display over here. It does have a single 12, megapixel camera capable up to 4 K 1600 alto right here in Apple, a 13 and 3 gigabytes of RAM, so the specs are definitely a little inferior there on the SE, but the price is also a lot cheaper than the iPhone 11. So that's the thing you got to keep in mind: we're looking at $6.99 for the 11 399 for the iPhone SE. That is a big difference, but is the 11 worth that extra money? We're gonna talk about that here now the body which one is gonna, be the better body? Well, I, think that you know the body of the iPhone 11 can be a little big for some people, but overall I don't think it's too big I think it strikes a nice balance between not being overly big but big enough to feel like okay, I upgraded, my iPhone of the past. Now, if you come in from an older iPhone, it's going to feel like a huge updating size, and you know watching videos and playing games and using apps.

The iPhone 11 will feel like a nice update. If you come to the IC you're, just going to get an internal upgrade and like if you're, coming from a 6s, a6 or any of the older iPhones unless you're coming from a smaller 4-inch. This will not feel like a big size jump on the SE, but if you're talking about which one has the more compact feel, of course, this is where the strong suit is to the SE. If you like, that old iPhone feel where it's just kind of small- and you could just use a one hand over here and not think about it- the SE is a true winner in this category. Well, if you haven't ever upgraded to a bigger iPhone, you probably will still love the iPhone SE, but if you're coming from an older iPhone to opinions are going to arise, if you had this device, and then you went over to like this device, one is either I love this compact size of the iPhone SE, the second one is I.

Just don't like how small this phone is. I want to go back to my larger iPhone. That's the two opinions I think that will arise if you get this phone from a bigger iPhone, but if you're not coming from a bigger iPhone that won't even matter design-wise I think it's pretty subjective. Some people, like the looks of the newer iPhones some people, like the looks of the older iPhones one thing I will say, is the white is more white on here on the iPhone SE than the white on the iPhone 11, the iPhone 11th White's a little creamy. This one is definitely super white here, like white-out that you will put on paper, but in terms of design.

Some people dislike these huge cameras on the rear. Some people love these cameras on the rear. Some people, like the cleaner, single lens, some people really like how Apple just move these Apple logos down to the middle, but you could see both of them do not have iPhone logo on the back. Just Apple logos there, but the front has where things really get interesting and some people do not prefer the not some people don't care. Some people like that all screen.

Look some people don't care about these bezels they just like the compact classic iPhone. So it's really subjective, but I think when it comes to current times. The iPhone 11 definitely feels more of the times and then the iPhone SE. Now, when it comes to touch ID versus face ID, which is the better option here well I could tell you that touch. I'd is definitely a little faster than face ID, but Apple themselves even have claimed that face.

I'd is more secure than touch ID. It's harder to break then touch ID so face ID. For me is the win. I think it's also more convenient as long as you're not wearing a mask. If you are wearing the mask, then touch ID is probably going to be more convenient, but if you're wearing gloves and a mask, then they're both going to have some issues there, but there are workarounds, just don't wear gloves when you're going to use such ID and don't wear a mask temporarily.

While you unlock your iPhone, of course, you can put in pass codes, but for me, I think that unlocking what your face is actually more convenient but touch ID can sometime be more convenient like if you're pulling it out of your pocket, and you don't want to look at the phone I think touch. I'd is less likely to fail as well. It just always works every time, whereas if you look at the iPhone 11 on the wrong angle, you might actually not be able to unlock it really fast, so there are pros and cons to both. So when it comes to software they're, both rocking iOS 13 point four point one and when, when it comes to just everyday usage, what's really different is the software experience of these two now the iPhone 11 definitely feels a bit different when it comes to swiping up from the top to get to your control center. Also, over here it does say, 72% battery life.

We can't see our battery life unless we do this over here. You do get used to it, but it's kind of missed from the older iPhones like this will always show your percentage of battery life right there, but the f1az differs in this way. You have to swipe up from the bottom, and it's kind of like if you're used to these newer iPhones, and you go to this you're going to have to remember this, but if you're not coming from one of those, this will just be everyday iPhone use for you. So I don't think it's that big of a deal, but it is a different experience. Also, there's a 120 Hertz touch sensing on the iPhone 11, and it just feels a little smoother just a hair smoother than the iPhone SE, but both of them are very fast.

The gesture experienced, though, is something that you might like, say you're in an application, and you want to swipe out of the application, definitely feels very smooth versus this capacitive home button right here now. A lot of people do like the home button. I'm, not saying it's a bad thing, but it takes a click versus the know, swiping and also people gonna, say no, there's no physical click, there I know, but it's still. You start to press something here on this phone over here versus just a nice smooth swipe away on the iPhone 11. Now, when it comes to displays both of them do have very nice displays they're, not the best on the market by far, but they are nice LCD's that are very well calibrated, and they do have true tone dark mode and night shift both of them get equally bright and both of them do you have the same 326 PPI, but the iPhone SE technically has fewer pixels.

It does have 1334 by 750, whereas the iPhone 11 does have 1792 by 828 pixels, it's more pixels, but because it's on a larger display. It's not really that much higher res. Furthermore, it's actually about the same res as the iPhone SE, so essentially you're getting the same type of text. However, when you are browsing, there is definitely more screen space on the iPhone 11 for you to go ahead and read so while they do have basically the same resolution still there's more space to read on the iPhone 11, so that can be a deal-breaker if you want more space to use your phone also again in video you're going to have a bigger video watching experience for the 11 now they're, also pretty similar in the haptic. So if we hold down weather, for example, there's no 3d touch on either of these.

They take equally long I. Don't really prefer this whole, you know haptic press versus 3d touch. It was faster before, but I understand why Apple went there. It does save them on parts, and you could see right there, camera pretty similar. So you do have that similarity.

There also you'll notice that the iPhone 11 the 10 R of the 10. They all have bigger power buttons than the iPhone SE over here. The iPhone SE does have a little power button right there, not that it really matters on a phone this size. But it's just something to note. You do have a bigger power button that does combine for Siri on the iPhone 11, whereas the iPhone SE does use the home button for Siri.

So that's a little of a different experience as well. My final thoughts on software is that iPhone 11 feels more up-to-date. It feels more current iPhone. This feels classic older iPhone just staying up to date with the current software, the Apple does push out. This iPhone feels like the future of Apple.

It's the way apples going forward. So this definitely feels more forward-thinking than this one over here and talking about performance I'm, not gonna, speed test them here. Really we did that already. You can check out the speed test between these two, but both of them are equally fast. They both have perfect performance.

In some areas. The SE actually will feel faster than the iPhone 11. In some areas the 11 will feel faster. Both of them do have a nice amount of RAM three gigs here, four gigs here, nothing too impressive, but still they're fine. They don't really have a big difference, but I will say one thing that coming home with them gesture just feels a little quicker than the home button over here, but in terms of processor performance, both can run games at an eco performance, both benchmark pretty similar, so you're, not really winning out by picking either with performance it's about the same.

But when it comes to the storage, the iPhone SE definitely offers more storage for cheaper, not that it offers more capacity. You can get both of them up to 256 gigs, but the iPhone SE will give you more for cheaper. So you can get the iPhone SE with 256 gigs for less than the iPhone 11 with 64 gigs. So you have to keep that in mind if you're looking for a value proposition with the storage okay. So let's move on to their cameras.

So we have the red iPhone SE right there. Now when it comes to just taking a photo one thing you're gonna notice about both of these is that they offer basically the same type of performance on the single camera. Although the iPhone 11 does have an ultra-wide, whereas this one is sticking with the single, so you got to get a little more creative. You have to walk back if you want a wider shot here, but the software is also equally about the same. If we go to video, you can go up to 4k 60 on here, and you can change it right from the camera itself over here for the SE.

You can also change it right. There also. The way that they do operate is essentially the same. You swipe up and can go over here. You could change the sixteen by nine on both you can get the square mode.

Everything is about the same operation. You go over, get a portrait. You have similar portrait modes as well. Natural light. You'd have studio light, contour light.

It's pretty similar here, so you're, not gonna notice, too much of a difference unless you're missing out on that wide angle from the iPhone 11. However, well you will notice a big difference. Is the front-facing camera where the iPhone 11 destroys the SE doing 4k 60? It's immediately evident when you put these side-by-side the iPhone 11, you got a pic if you're going to be vlogging from your iPhone and you want the best quality from the front-facing camera. You don't want to use the rear camera and not be able to see yourself. This is gonna, be the phone pick the 11 over the SE.

The SE will still do a pretty good job, but it's not going to beat out the 11 there. Also, one thing you should keep in mind is that the iPhone 11, it's not gonna, show it right now. Let me see if I can get it to activate, but the iPhone 11 does have a night mode. The iPhone SE does not have a night mode. So if you take pictures in the dark- and you want to get a little more brightness yeah you're gonna- want to use the iPhone 11, it's going to be the winner, but I think for the money.

The iPhone SE is giving you an incredible camera value for this money. It's one of the best budget cameras you can buy on any phone with incredible video quality, but for me the pic is definitely the 11, so I'm going to show you a couple of samples here. Take a look at these and let me know your thoughts on both of them. So here's an example of the iPhone 11. You can kind of see it's 4k video with the windmill, and you're gonna, see the iPhone SE kind of looks pretty similar to these overall results.

Okay, so when it comes to the audio, both of them do have stereo speakers now, I feel like the iPhone.11 sounds a little better, but I don't feel like I'm hearing enough of a difference to say: oh yeah, you should get the iPhone 11 just because it has so much better audio, because that statement wouldn't be true. They both have stereo speakers and they both will do a good job, but where they both don't do the best job is battery life and when I say that I mean the iPhone SE comparatively to the iPhone 11. A lot of people are raving about how it's pretty good I, don't know what these reviewers are talking about when it comes to the battery life. If you're coming from the perspective of an old dying success of six a seven, even maybe an eight, the SE performs better than some of those phones, but not compared to the 11. The 11, far outperforms the iPhone SE.

By like a couple of hours, I mean it's incredibly more battery life on the iPhone 11, it's also a much larger battery size. So this is the real Achilles heel of the iPhone SE. If you're looking for this feature, if you do not care this doesn't matter, but if you really strongly desire great battery life, you would be doing yourself with the service to pick up the SE over the 11 and phone call quality connections. Both of them don't have 5g they're, both LT phones and both of them do fairly well on the phone calls not that we make many phone calls these days, but if you do, they're, just fine, so in conclusion the iPhone 11 or the S II well I think the iPhone 11 is definitely the better phone objectively speaking, but remember a lot of people's decisions aren't made objectively they're made subjectively I like this phone more than that phone, for example, and a lot of people are gonna, say I like that, smaller SE, more than I, like that 11 I, don't care that has better battery life, I, don't care that has better cameras and a lot of people are still buying and will continue to buy. This and there's going to be promotions on carriers.

Making this phone a steal of a deal so iPhone SE is still an excellent option. It's never been cheaper with the SE to get the best chipset in a phone since 2016 we're back to that point here with this SE, where you can get a cheaper iPhone with Beast Performance, beast camera and be happy with it. However, if price is not a concern, but you just kind of want to know which one should I get I'm really excited about both of them. I think you'll be happier with the iPhone 11. If you don't care about price, you don't care about size.

You just want the better objective phone, so yeah, that's it between these two, the iPhone 11 and the iPhone SE II again check out the speed test.
