IPAD PRO 2020 UNBOXING + APPLE PENCIL 2 (12.9 inch) By huntermerck

It's here, hey everyone, it's hunter and welcome back to my channel in today's video. We are doing something super super super exciting and that is unboxing. My new iPad Pro. I am so excited to be sharing this video with you guys. This has been a very long time coming, so I wanted to share with you guys the whole shipping process um why I purchased the iPad and everything like that. So if you don't care about any of the backstory, I'm going to put the timestamp on the screen, so you guys can just fast-forward to the actual unboxing, but I did want to tell you before you fast-forward to the um unboxing I want to let you know that I have already unboxed it.

I have it here right here with me. It's right here. This is the iPad Pro, but I wanted to tell you that unboxing, the video, the actual unboxing of the video, is very, very chaotic. I have a 30-minute lunch on Fridays and I go to lunch from 11 30 to 12, and normally I go to lunch from 12 to 1. So for me to have a 30-minute lunch break, and it delivered at 11 59 the day before I worked over, so my boss told me to take extra time during lunch, so I was able to unbox in the last 10 minutes of my lunch break, but it is very chaotic because I had very little time to do it, but I still wanted to film it for you guys- and I wasn't about to let the box just sit on my table for four hours until my work day was over.

So I's definitely super chaotic and I just wanted to let you know that. But if you now post the put the time stamp on here, so that you can fast-forward to the actual unboxing um. But if you care I'm gonna share with you guys all the shipping information and things like that, just because I know right now, the shipping from Apple is taking five ever, so I wanted to share with you guys so without further ado. Let's go ahead and get started, so I am filming this on Monday, which is Labor Day, which is the day this video is going live, and I got the iPad on Friday before so. Let's back up so first things.

First, I decided that I, a long time ago before they announced the 2020 version of the iPad Pro. I wanted the 2018 version of the iPad Pro and to be completely honest, I didn't even realize they had announced the 2021 until I was looking at the differences, and I was like wait, this is new. This is different um, so I wanted an iPad Pro. Probably like a year ago, um I had seen a bunch of people doing like digital illustrations, and I was like wait. You can make so many cool graphics on iPads and I have been making graphics on photoshop and things like that for a really long time now, um since I was in high school actually- and I knew that I wanted to dabble into kind of the drawing thing I really like lettering- I'm not very good at it, but I do like lettering um.

I have a bunch of pens and markers and I have like a whole thing up here on this bookshelf back here of just pens and markers and paper, I have sketchbooks, I have so much stuff. I've never really been good at art in a traditional sense, but I really love graphic design and I actually went to school for graphic design. So I am a huge fan of graphic design and I knew that I wanted to get into more design and I really wanted to make an investment in this iPad because I wanted to create more stuff and I want to open an Etsy shop with different graphics that I've made, and so that's kind of why I wanted to get one. So I was talking to my husband about how we were going to get it, and we decided that we were going to buy one for my birthday, so my birthday was on August night, so I decided that on August 1st I was going to purchase it and hope that it would get to me before my birthday, but that was absolutely wrong um. So basically I ordered it on August 1st, and that was a Saturday and I ordered it at like 11 30 p.

m. So the next business day was Monday august, the 3rd, which I expected not anything to happen on Sunday or anything like that, so the following Monday, I decided also let me back up. I know that I could have gotten it sooner from Best Buy target or Amazon, but I have an apple credit card and I wanted to be able to use the installment plan instead of paying the entire eleven hundred dollars all at one time, so I am paying for it by the month instead of paying for it all at one time. So I did want to let you guys know that I didn't just drop eleven hundred dollars on an iPad for no reason, especially when I am making an investment I wanted to. Let you guys know I want to be fully transparent with you.

The reason why I chose to purchase it from Apple is because I was able to use the installment plan at apple with my apple credit card. So that's why I chose to do it from apple and apple. Had the Apple education deal going on um, I think it's still going on. I don't know what it's going to end, but it's still going on. I think, but basically you get a free pair of AirPods with the purchase of an iPad or a MacBook Pro, and I already had AirPods and my husband already had AirPods.

Furthermore, I was not interested in the AirPods Pro or the wireless charging case, but my husband really wanted some AirPods Pro for his birthday, and I am the worst and did not get them for him. So I decided to upgrade the AirPods to AirPods Pro for an extra 90 and there was a 100 off of the iPad. So basically the 90 that I used to upgrade the air pot. I mean the iPad made it the same price, and then I also purchased the Apple Pencil. So now that you know everything that I on Monday the 3rd, the AirPods shipped, they were delivered on Tuesday, the 4th from FedEx, then the estimated delivery date for the Apple Pencil was august, the 18th through the 25th.

So I was not expecting to get it for like two weeks. I wasn't sure if it was in stock or not so but um, and then I got a notification on August, the 5th that my pencil had shipped, and then it would be here the next day. So I got it on August, the 6th- and so I was like that, gives me hope. Maybe the iPad is going to ship early. I looked at all the forums I got on Reddit.

I got on apple forums, all kinds of stuff. Furthermore, I was reading so much information about what I could to find out about the shipping times to see if the apple estimated date were correct. Apple, estimated date for my iPad were September, 2nd through September 10th, which felt like forever. It felt like literally like when I ordered it. I was so excited, and then I was like it won't be here, something till September, so that's fun um and I literally harassed the heck out of my friend Kayla waiting on it to come.

I literally was refreshing. The page, like four million times a day, waiting on it to go from processing to preparing to ship finally um. It said that it would ship in three to four weeks, and so finally, after exactly four weeks on September, 20 no August 28th, 28 days later, it went from processing to preparing the ship, and then I woke up on Saturday, the 29th, and it had shipped so did that and on Apple's website. It said that it would arrive on September 9th, which is Wednesday. So two days from now and on ups, it said that it would get here from on September 4th, which is the day that I'd arrived um.

It went from China to Taiwan to another place in Taiwan, to Alaska, to Louisville Kentucky to Knoxville Tennessee, and then it went to Greenville South Carolina, which is the county that I live in to Spartanburg South Carolina, which is the county over from me, and then it was out for delivery in Spartanburg. So it basically went all over the place, but it moved more in the last two days than it did the first couple of days. So it took like six days for it to get from China to me, which is honestly not that bad, given the current state of the world, that's kind of the backstory on why I got the iPad, how I paid for it and the shipping times so now, I'm just going to show you guys the unboxing, like I said the unboxing portion of this video is pretty chaotic. I filmed that on Friday and this is Monday, but since it was the last few minutes of my lunch break, I didn't have time to film this part, and I wanted to make sure that I gave you this information, so I'm sitting here filming this part right before I edit the video, so that I could give you guys a little backstory everything in case you are interested and um yeah. So let's get into the unboxing and have fun watching me freak out over the iPad.

It has arrived, so I'm just going to unbox it now, because I'm too excited to do anything else. I am on my lunch break, and it ends in like 10 minutes so pray. For me, I guess my iPad has arrived, and I'm so excited that we're just going to get cracking. I'm just gonna start unboxing now, so let's freaking go little pull tab. Oh my gosh! It's here mason, it's freaking here! Oh my gosh, it's beautiful! I need your phone, so I can take a picture of the box.

I'm recording on my phone thanks here. It is we're in business. Okay, oh okay hold a little tab. Oh my gosh! This is so satisfying. I've been waiting to do this for so long.

Oh my gosh holy crap, okay, oh there she is holy crap. Okay, I'm ready! I'm ready. I need a screen protector and the things to go with it all right. Here we go we're lifting her up wow, it's so thin! Look at him! Oh my gosh, okay, I'm going to set that down. I'm going to show everyone the things inside.

There's the paperwork: more paperwork; ah, there are the stickers, okay and stickers. So all those things are here, and then we have the USB to I mean just USB plug, and then we'll have the USB to USB all right. Let's move the box out of the way and do the thing I've been waiting to do for ages and that's rip off this plastic. Oh my gosh, hello, beautiful how you're doing okay, we're gonna, install the screen protector first, and now I'm going to unbox the pencil, and it doesn't have a pull tab. So I guess I'm just going to have to rip it.

Oh my gosh! It feels so good, all right, okay, so that's all I have for now is just the pencil and the iPad. I am not going to turn it on yet or set it up, because I'm going to do a separate video for that, but I'm so excited it's. Finally, here and now I have to go back to work so uh if you watched all the way through to this point. Thank you so much because this is a very chaotic video, but I've been waiting so long to post this video. So I'm super thankful that I have this iPad now in my hands, ready to go, and I have already been creating all kinds of graphics.

Also, I'm uploading a video. Oh, I said an alarm for 10 o'clock, so I could wake up and phone, and I woke up before that um, but anyway I did a whole unboxing and haul of my iPad accessories as well, so that I could show them to you guys so yeah here it is here being the iPad. I got the 12.9 inch and here's my background that I just made, and I'm just so excited about having this, and I'm so excited to see what I'm going to make out of this um.
