Huawei MediaPad M2 8.0 - Unboxing & Hands On

Hi guys and welcome to my unboxing and first impressions, video of the new wowed media, pet m2, 8.0 I, just got it today and worse, actually still wrapped in foil, so I seem to be the first one ever reviewing this device, at least here in Germany at least this model. Let's open it up and see what we've got inside I did already my setup and my all my tests, I use it for about two hours and so far, I really like what I see. So here we have two tablets. What's in the box, there is a charger. It is a 2 amp version, so it should charge quite nicely. It came with about I, don't really know how much percentage left, but I'm at 30.

Now here we have some manuals and the USB cable, that's it for the box. So let's just get into the device and not waste, much time on the unboxing. Here we have it, as you can see in terms of bezels, really, really nice for a tablet. This is a quite nice size and if you actually look at it- and maybe if you saw my review of the Huawei p8 smartphone, you can notice- this actually almost looks like a little of a blown-up p8 in many respects. So let's get around robust and see what we've actually got here, here under this flap we have I, guess the SD card slot.

Yes, we have it a micro SD card slot is under there quite nicely hidden at first I didn't even find it here. We have the volume rocker, not really that click buttons, but tactile yes, power button also really nicely done with this nicely refill trim really nice at the top. For some reason, we have the micro SB one of the two zeros side firing speakers, the headphone jack left side is blank and on the bottom we have the microphone here and the second stereo speaker, which is quite nice here. We also have the cam. There is a cam with a flash actually and what is actually quite funny and, as you can see, your Harman Kardon in the software.

This tablet calls itself a lot of times phone, so it actually kind of thinks it is a bigger phone. What do we get here? We get the newest, nothing quite news, but the Karin 930, so it's not their highest and chipset. It's the same that do we had already in the period and hundreds of us seems really similar. We get a resolution of 1920 by 1200. The nice thing is, we have already android 5.1.1, so all is covered here. First in terms of design and build quality, as you can see, it is really quite thin.

Compact makes a good appearance in terms of build quality. There is, as you can maybe sometimes hear a little of squeaking here, something that I have to see if it will bother me, but so far, usually with I use, if I don't bend it, and it's just on this banding where it happens, but other than that build quality, seems really realize. It seems very robust and solid in the hand, still a nice size the display what I like so much about it. We have color temperature control, so I got it a little more on the colder side, but other than that. The calibration same as on the p8 already seems spot-on, very vibrant, vivid colors, but definitely not over saturated, still very accurate, I really like the calibration that Huawei does also the viewing angles.

They are very solid, don't see here any issues, but I will have to test it a little more. Definitely until I have more things to say. One thing that I noticed though, but I will talk about that in the review that was a little off-putting, was whenever I got into a browser that screen dimmed. So what I had to do is go into performance mode, that I am finding liquid and here at power saving. So if you use smart, you can quickly see this.

If we go into with a browser, maybe you can already see it, but it does dim. You should notice it once I go out because once I leave the app and I don't have the quickest internet here up right now, let's wait for a second, but you should see that if I go out right now you can see the white you see a brightening up, so I would suggest you just to go back into the settings and leave it a performance mode. I think I did the same already on the p8 and I didn't think it did bother a battery too much other than that sound. Let's make a quick check because I really like what I see because of the stereo side firing speakers. The one thing to say about that here is they are sight firing.

So if you hold it like this, you should try to kind of reflect it towards you. Otherwise, it sounds a little more on the flat side, but it's definitely not bad. In midair, it sounds a little flatter, but at least we're stereo, and they are really, really loud. Maybe I can make some fine-tuning as well. If I find something like this yeah, but so far the sound not bad if we check the performance pretty much the same as I already said, as on the p8, so mostly very smooth, as you can see here, there is some occasional lag and stutter here, but it's definitely not bad.

As you can see here, things work out. Quite nice, I don't seem to have any connection right now. Okay, I know why? Because I didn't connect to my 2.4 gigahertz net, just yet, but I can already tell the performance. Seems fine. I, don't see any trouble here.

It should be able to load this I. Think, oh, it does actually, as you can see here, this is definitely not bad. Performance seems perfect. So far, multitasking I still don't like the recent apps' menu here, but at least it seems to work out quite nice.2 gigabytes of RAM seemed to do a quite nice job. I can't say anything about the battery life.

Yet, of course software is yeah. It is Huawei's me why or how do they even call it? Let me quickly check that emu is its the emu I. So yeah it's a little different. We don't have any app draw. The quick settings are a little different, but it works on a tablet.

I, don't mind it as much as on a phone, because there I don't see that many elements of it so seems quite nice. So far, the cameras is something that I won't even review, because if you know me, I never reviewed a camera on any tablet. So if you are hoping for that, sorry I have to disappoint you. I am all about the device itself, so this one must much. This was my first impressions, video of the new Huawei m8 or m2 8.0. So far, I really like what I see build quality seems fun.

This place seems really nice because in good performance seems very well better. Life is something that I have to see, but unless something really completely unexpected happens. This already should get quite a nice rating from me, but how good is something we'll have to see? Okay until next time, bye.
