The HIM m3. Is it the perfect beginner smartphone? Is it worth your hard-earned money, I'm Alex with a tech triad and join me as we unbox and review the HIM m3, so in this unboxing and review of the m3 I'm just going to give you guys my final opinion and review and whether this device is worth the money so keep in mind, it is a low-cost off-contract device. It is not meant to compete with the likes of the galaxy s5, the HTC One or the iPhone 5s. Now in the box we get the phone, we get a user manual, just pretty much the basics, but what is pretty cool? Are we got a free case, which you really don't see that when you purchase devices at all, even these big flagship devices, it would be nice to have them included? We also have two spare batteries, which is great because usually we get one. We also got these headphones. They're cheap, headphones, nothing to rave about, and we also have our charging cable and our wall wart.
So to get started. We just want to remove the back piece of the device there. We have our dual sim, our SD slot, and we also have our battery slot so pretty simple, just pop in one of the two batteries that you got put the back piece on, and you're off and running now, on the left hand, side of the device, we have our volume rockers, and we also have our power buttons, and we're just going to take a quick look around the device itself on the top of the device. Furthermore, we have our charging port, and we also have our 3.5 millimeter, headphone, jack, I, gotta, say I, don't like the charging port being on the top. It's just kind of weird I, don't know I'm just used to it being on the bottom on the bottom.
We have our microphone, and we also have a little indentation so that we can open up the back piece of the device on the front. We have that five point O display, and we'll be talking more about that later on in the video now I got to say this kind of takes cues off the Opera, which is kind of nice. It feels really nice in the hands, and I've enjoyed it thus far. So out of the box, this is running. Android, 4.2, point2, jelly bean out, it's an older version of Android, but it's not a bad version. It's a very good version, so I have no complaints.
There was very happy to at least see to see that we at least had four point two point. Two again remember: this is a low-cost device. It isn't meant to compete with these flagship devices. I got to say it was pretty smooth for what I thought it was going to be what I, imagined and once I turned it on for the first time it actually had a Chinese launcher. I was just very confusing, so I stalled nova launcher installed a keyboard, and I was good to go now.
My only complaint with this device will not my only complaint. One complaint was the fact that the antennas on this device were horrible, where I would usually get three bars of Wi-Fi I would only get one as you see here in the video had trouble just loading our website now benchmark results were just decent for a device of this cost. So again, don't expect a lot from this device. It's not one of these devices that is meant to compete with flagship devices, its low-cost Android device that you can use off contractor so the ideal burner phone or the ideal, a smartphone for those who are getting a smartphone for the first time. We'll talk a little more about that later on, but again, once you install a launcher and maybe some icon packs, you personalize it.
It's really not that bad, it's not as bad as I thought it was going to be, and it actually ran pretty smooth and pretty decent. So it was pretty nice to see overall, and again it's just not one of those devices. That's meant to compete with these huge flagship devices. So keep that in mind as we move forward in the video. So now, let's talk specs of the HIM m3.
Now we have a 5-inch display with a resolution of 854 x 480, not the best. We have a dual-core processor and a 5 megapixel shooter on the back, which is not bad for low-cost device. Now in the gaming department, it did better than what I thought it would now being that I had less than a gig of ram. I really didn't think it was going to run games very well, actually temple 1, 10, / 12. It did very well especially flappy birds as well, but those graphic intensive games, asphalt, 8, Riptide gp2, don't expect to get anywhere with this device.
It's just not going to run them very great. You have a lot of lag and overall, it's not going to be a good gaming experiences more of an on-the-go leisure. Again, this isn't the device for someone who wants to do heavy gaming. It comes to the camera on this device. Yes, it is a 5 megapixel camera, but it's not a very good.
One. Pictures were washed out. Colors were not very good and even the shutter button on the camera itself. You had to almost give it a pretty good press just to take a picture was a huge pain to take pictures with this device, and it just wasn't an overall good experience at all. Now the huge plus side to this device is the fact that it costs less than $85 81 dollars to be exact and that's great, because you really can't get a pretty good smartphone for 80 bucks and that's what makes this device what it is.
It's a low-cost device, so in final conclusion to my review, would I suggest it as an everyday phone? No do I suggest it to maybe someone who's picking up a smartphone for the first time. Yes, if you're someone, maybe who's, never had a smartphone before, and you're wanting to learn. This is a device for you. Maybe someone older, you might have a grandparent or a parent who's in need of getting a smartphone for the first time. This would be a good device.
Don't expect to take a lot of pictures with it to be gaming again, it's more of a beginner smartphone or maybe even for those who are very tech, savvy what they call a burner phone, something you would keep in your drawer for an emergency, for maybe something happens where your device breaks, and you need a backup. This would do the job very well, but I would not suggest this to your everyday consumer anyway, guys this is going to do it for our final review of the HIM m3 I'd like to say thank you to date for sending this review unit out for review.
