HTC U11 Plus - A Week of Testing || Full Review! By Fungineers

The u11 that we know from mid-2017 just got a major facelift and now has a crisper and defined personality. So, let's find out what has changed and if it's worth the upgrade hello, engineer x' and welcome to another review. Let's start unboxing this thing: the package comes with the phone which we'll get to in a second the protective gaze noise-canceling air pods that are great by the way, some extra tips for it. You can either get the solid colors in black and gray, or this translucent black, which is my favorite. It has a nerdy look to it, but still manages to stay classy.

At the same time, now, the first time I looked at it, I was like oh cool. Looking at the brighter side, though, if you look at it from the front, the first thing you will notice is that the home button is gone. Welcome to 2017 HTC and the fingerprint sensor is now at the back, leaving more space for the screen, which now has an 18 to 9 screen ratios, just like the iPhone 10 or the pixel to excel. That means it's going to make for a great viewing experience.

The LCD screen is a quad HD display with Corning Gorilla Glass, 5, and I was really impressed by the sharp colors and impressive visuals. Now it doesn't have the Super AMOLED screens that the competition is using, but a side-by-side comparison with iPhone 10 yielded similar results of playing 4k videos. One negative point about the display is that it's not that bright, even in full brightness, it seems a little dim in low-light conditions. The screen is also bigger by a four half inch from its predecessor, which brings it now to a full 6 inches, but the width of the phone is actually smaller, so you get a bigger screen on a smaller device which doesn't only look good but also makes for a more comfortable grip at the bottom. You see only one USB-C port, which you can use for charging or for your headphones, and even though the thickness has slightly increased, the phone is now less curvy, more solid-looking.

It doesn't look too shiny, too curvy or too plastic, like the u11 did to me at least, and I think this is what an HTC flagship should look like, I'm, very impressed by how this thing looks and with the 11-plus beauty is not only skin deep as a user interface is now enhanced, thanks partially to the Android 8.0 Oreo that it comes out of the box with and FCC has left it almost stock Android with only blink feed HTC, Sense themes and not much else. You cannot scroll down from anywhere on the screen to bring the utilities' menu down or scroll up to go to the apps screen. This makes for great one-handed usage on the bigger screen. The home button is built into the screen, and so are the other buttons that you can customize. The menu is also expandable for ease of use, which you can use to take screenshots screen recordings or call the top menu the squeeze to do stuff functionality that HTC calls eds sends is now enhanced, so you can set it to launch apps answer calls or call Google Assistant.

My personal favorite is the edge launcher which I really like and comes in handy a lot. The headphones are great to look at and have active noise cancellation which actually works with HTC use. Sonic. You can set individual noise profiles for different surroundings, for example a caf? that you regularly visit and the phone adapts accordingly. This is similar to what HTC has been producing for quite a while now, and I'm very happy with it digging deeper.

The other big change is in the battery, which is now almost 4000 milliamperes a breeze. The bigger battery kept me going for almost two days, even with heavy use day, so that is another feather in the 11 plus has had speaking of heavy usage. The built-in storage is 128 gigabytes, which is, of course, expandable with a memory card which you can substitute in place of a second SIM card. The 6 TB ram, along with a snapdragon 835 processors, which is unchanged, deliver awesome results without any performance lag whatsoever, even with high demanding games and apps I was able to get very good results and, as you can hear, the speakers are loud and crisp. This phone has an a and to benchmark performance rating of eighteen to three zero one, which is second only to the iPhones, which is pretty impressive.

The resolution of the rear camera is still 12, megapixels or just like the u11, but there have been some enhancements to it. It still has the HDR boost and image stabilization which deliver excellent videos and photos, I shot some videos and photos in low light and good light conditions, and you can see the results were not bad at all you, the acoustic focus option means you can record 360 degrees of sound in your videos and that worked well as well. The front camera is actually downgraded to 8 megapixels, but it has enhanced noise reduction, making up for the lost pixels and helping click. Nice health is even in low-light. The HTC.

Your sense has been a standard feature for some time now, and it's HTC's shot at artificial intelligence. I was not very impressed with it, but it's OK for location suggestions, counting steps, calendar reminders and suggestion ip68 is an upgraded dust and waterproof rating. So that's a good thing. The protective case has lost its sides, so you can squeeze the phone comfortably, but it has this pattern on it, which hides the translucency of the phone a little, honestly. I would not want to put any case on a beautiful and expensive phone like this, but I would also be really pissed if I drop or smudge it.

So it is kind of a catch-22 on beautiful and expensive phones like this one talking of expensive. This phone will set you back $6.99 pounds which is comparable to the pixel to excel I, said 69 pounds and not 950 dollars, because unfortunately, HTC will not be launching it in the US, which is surprising and sad so to wrap up. If you do manage to get your hands on it. In my opinion, you should, it is the best-looking, the best performing Android phone out there with an amazing display and excellent quality cameras guys.
