Here is a working phone that I lost charger for, but it 100% works and what we're going to do, and I do have a charger that will I can plug in that will turn it on, but it won't charge it so see if it works after this. So first we have water, and we're going to completely submerge it in water, and this would be like if you were wanting to jump at the pool, and you jumped in with your phone in your pocket now I'm not going to turn it on because I charge, but usually you'd have in your pocket when you didn't know- and it does have spray paint on the back and stuff, but that will not affect anything, so we're going to completely submerge it in water, and we're going to leave that in there for a couple of minutes well and just until I figured out that your phone was actually in your pocket. Now we're getting air bowls out, so it's completely getting wet. So you can be getting out of the pool by now. Okay. So what you do is you take it out, and you put it on a paper towel, and you can dry it off.
It's completely wet alright, and what you can do is if your phone has a back cover that you can take off. Take that off dry. Everything out take the battery and dry that off to you so usually had a sticker self-slaughter damage, it's red, okay, and once you're done with that um, you can put it in rice. Usually people said do that, but that actually doesn't work, because if it's in there for a while, the water will cause mineral buildup in your phone, and then it'll cause it to not work and after this do not turn your phone on or plug it in, because that could ruin it forever. So, once you're done with that, you can just let it dry out, and I'll be right back so once you charge it out the best you can with the paper towel, you can, if it's like on these bones, where you can just take off the back I like an iPhone, but you can still take off the back.
You see that there are screws all around and what you're gonna need is a screwdriver okay. So you get your screwdriver, and you look at the screws whatever shape it is that's the type of screwdriver you need, and you just twist take those out and whatever screws you find on the back, some could be hidden just look around. It won't be that hard once you've gotten off all the peas that you could find on the back. Usually you can just take this back thing off, but if you can't like this, but if you can't, there's probably more screws now you'll see some insides of your phone, you can let this dry in the Sun for a little, but it could fry the thing. So that might not be the best idea now.
I didn't leave this in the water too long or and I drained it off quickly, but usually, if you had it in for the water a while there'll be corrosion from the water or if it's been a while, since they've got water damage and since there's water in here corrosion and mineral build-up will start, and it'll eat away your phone like rust. So what you can do, instead of just using rice, you can use whatever that says: alcohol, ninety-one percent. Ninety-nine is the best. But if you cannot, if you don't have ninety-nine, but they don't have that your store, you can just use ninety-one. So just dip like a toothbrush all to flush, you don't need in it, and you can open your phone further like there are more screws, but right now, just do it on the part that you see.
Don't do it like on the camera, but just white gently over everything, but don't be too hard because the little things on here even with a toothbrush could come off. You can also use an electric toothbrush for this, but you don't have to you. Okay. So that's probably good, and you don't need to look to put a lot of alcohol stuff on after you do with that. You can move more screws and do it deeper to the phone um I'm not going to because I don't need to and what you're going to do after that is.
You can just use a paper towel to gently dab, but you don't have to and then just let sit out for like an hour or so and then put it back together. So after an hour, I'll come back put this back together and hook it up to the charger, and we'll see if it works. Okay, now I didn't wait an hour, it's best to do that, but what I did do was I used a hairdryer and I found low. If you have a low setting on yours and I just did that on here and battery and on the keyboard and stuff, and that will help not only dry the but also get the water out. So I recommend that to you and one thing you can do, if you don't want to take your phone apart, you know it's a good thing to do.
Are you can completely submerge your phone in this alcohol? Sometimes it might not work, but if you don't want to open your phone and that's your last resort, you can just completely put it in, and I could be a waste of alcohol. But you know you could fix your phone. Another thing you could do if it's completely together is use of vacuum and if it has one of those connection things a tube that usually used to reach high surfaces on shelves, you can just make a section and suck it out of like the headphone jack, but you don't have to do that. Okay, so I'm going to put this phone back together. If I can there we go, and I'll put I'll put it back together, and then I'll show you what it does when I plug it is, as I said before.
This is the wrong charger, but I don't have my camera stand with me, so I'm just going to put down force in okay, so here is our phone that we put through water, and here is our trouble trip, so it just goes in right there and, let's see what it does now. As I said before, this is the wrong charger. Oh, it works, so it'll do this is the working phone we had it water damaged, and we fixed it now. I know that I didn't put this bone in for a long time, but what I showed you will work um if you had your funny long time and if you did happen to turn tread turn your phone on because, that's what you would automatically want to do see if your phone is safe. This will probably work too, even if it does not turn on that.
All the alcohol will definitely help you now it might not work, but it's a very good it'll, probably work. So thank you for watching. Please subscribe, and I hope that this works for you. If you got your phone drop, you drop your phone and pull or whatever goodbye.
