Google Pixel 5a: Not the upgrade we hoped for By TechTheLead

Remember those puzzle games where you had to like spot tiny differences between two photos or pick the odd one out. I loved to waste time playing that and in case you hate going through all that trouble. I did it for you check how Google Pixel 5a measures to 4a and 4a5g because hey, I think, we're all looking for that extra something in our next phone. Furthermore, I mean how much more can we survive just on breadcrumbs, a tiny battery upgrade here a few more rams there really now, if we have to spend 500 on something it better make our user experience something else like smoother videos, crisper photos in low light, faster processing right, so pixel 5a worth changing your 4a with it totally upgrading from pixel 4 a5g no way. Why would I say that? Listen when has Google ever been particularly generous with us yeah? They have never disappointed when it comes to camera. No arguing that in fact, they managed to give us amazing software tools with one lens when others were layering them out, that's their strength, and it will continue to be so, but the rest of their phones were more functional than eye-catching, and it's because google tends to be stingy with their phones giving users just enough to stay engaged.

So if you wanted to go from a pixel, 4 a5g to a pixel 5a think twice: you'll have to put these two under the microscope to spot the differences, and even then it will be virtually impossible to do so. They're almost twins size, camera battery, wise, you name it. How come? First, you have to know: pixel 5a will come with 5g from the get-go. It seems. Google won't bother with two versions launched separately like last year at most they're going to put a 4g LTE model on some markets.

What does this mean? A bigger price? No doubt about that. The pixel 5a won't go for 350 bucks like the 4a it just can't. The 5g connectivity will raise the cost. Are we talking 500 here like the 4a5g? Probably, although I'm still holding hope for a 400 one just to sweeten the deal, 5g also means extra power needed. This means a better chip out of the box in a year dominated by snapdragon 888, which should run on the pixel 6.2. Google can't parade the 730g anymore, not even for their budget line, so the company's going to go with the 765 g, most likely not going to lie I'd, be pleasantly surprised, and you too trust me if they managed to put the 780 g on this one, but it might be too late in the game for that.

Google should show off the phone this May 18th. After all, at the developers conference, the similarities with pixel 4 a5g continue told you they would so pixel 5a should share the same screen size, 6.2 inches, which is bigger than the vanilla 4a. The same camera setup is on Google's to-do list guys. So two cameras, a wide and ultra-wide are happening again for those stuck with the Pixel 4a for almost a year. Now, that's perfect news.

The 16 megapixel ultra-wide is most likely in the cards, but if google cared about hardware as much or more than software I'd say keep your hopes for a bigger output, but knowing google they're going to leave you to enjoy the camera features advertised. So far, of course, that's no reason for disappointment. Again. Pixel phones are really mastering the art of phone photography. EIS, better portrait shots in low light should show up.

They made it to pixel 5. After all, now does this all mean the pixel.5A is just another 4a5g with a different name, and it's an upgrade on all fronts from the 4a. Yes, and no life in plastic is fantastic, so this year's budget pixel is gonna, come dressed in plastic. I don't see google changing the back with a glass or aluminum or displacing the rear fingerprint sensor. The headphone jack is staying too and unfortunately, I don't think pixel 5a is gonna, offer us more than six gigs of ram or more than 128 gigs of storage such as life, but cheer up dust and water resistance might be in the cards.

The refresh rate could also go up to what 120, no don't be crazy, just 90 hertz guys as for battery that's going to be under 4 000 William hour with an 18 watt charging most unlikely. I know that's incredibly poor, but you can always refrain from pushing the buy button and wait until October. That's when pixel 6 will drop and that phone could change the battery game for good and finally bring us.
