Google Pixel 4a Vs iPhone XS! (Comparison) (Review)

Welcome back everyone we're going to be doing another comparison today between these newly released Google Pixel 4a. I can't even talk today versus the iPhone tennis, which just kind of came out a while ago. Actually now, both these phones, you know, are very interesting because, first with the iPhone 10s, it is an older device for sure, but I estimated that I think the software lifecycle of both these phones are actually probably going to end off the same amount of time, even though on the pixel lineup they're, relatively pretty good for the android side of things, I think when it comes down to the software lifecycle, the iPhone 10s and Pixel 4a may end around the same time, maybe a little of leeway and funny enough the size, wise they're, almost identically the same, you know, they're almost you know the same size when it comes down to it. The screen sizes are almost the same too, which is really cool too. Now, if you have all the money in the world, even right now on the used market, iPhone 10s are still selling in the used market than the Pixel 4a brand new. You can get one of these for about 350, where you'll probably be lucky to find an iPhone 10s for around 400, it's most likely going to be around 500.

As of this point, once the new iPhones come out, those are probably going to go down a little more, but I'll go ahead and break it down for you and tell you everything now, starting off with the iPhone 10s, you have a 5.8 inch super retina OLED display, and it's a pretty good panel. I really had no complaints about it. It's built extremely well, it feels perfect in the hand, doesn't feel cheap at all and the colors look good viewing angles are great and, like I said before, I never really had any problems with it. It shares the same panel for the most part as the iPhone 11 Pro has the iPhone 10 and all those phones. So I, like those phones, a lot.

Those have perfect screens and the iPhone 10s is basically there too it's 11 25 by 24, 36 and definitely the panel looks good. You have true tone on it. You have 3d touch which is really cool. Furthermore, you have a notch, but really it's not that big of a deal. In my opinion, when you look at the Pixel 4a.

Obviously this is a different design, but the iPhone 10s, I think, still looks good. It still performs really well in terms of the screen, and I never really had any complaints about it. But do remember this was a thousand dollar phone, not too long ago, where the Pixel 4a has a 5.81 inch OLED display, and it's a little bigger technically than the iPhone 10s, which is fascinating. You also don't have a notch on it. It has a hole, punch display in the top left corner and that in and of itself is a really, really cool thing.

I love google for doing that, and the fact that this is a 350 dollar phone, and it looks like this like in terms of the front it kind of looks better than the iPhone 10s. You know what I mean. You have a way less bezel on a phone like this yeah. Furthermore, you don't have a notch on this thing too, which it looks really nice. This one looks better, but it doesn't necessarily feel better.

So keep that in mind. This panel is 1080p, and it doesn't have like any true tone technology or anything like that, but it is an OLED display, which is still a really cool thing. At the end of the day, the colors look great the viewing angles of it are surprisingly: okay, like they're, not that bad. I was expecting this panel to be much worse than it is, but it's really not I'm looking at it at a really, really weird angle now, and I'm still able to kind of view it. You can even see it through the camera like you're, still able to view it.

Obviously, the attendance I'm able to do it too, but for three and fifty dollar phone that was one of the biggest complaints I had you know with previous phones. I would really budget so screen wise. I think the 10 still wins, but the Pixel 4a is right there, and I'm really, really happy about it. In terms of the thickness, you can see that they're about the same thickness one really doesn't blow the other one out of the water. Do keep in mind, though, that the iPhone x is built extremely well.

The Google Pixel 4 is pretty much built out of plastic completely, and this one feels perfect that one feels like a flagship phone on the top of the Pixel 4a, though, if you can see you do have a headphone jack right here. The iPhone x does not have any headphone jack like that at all on the bottom: lightning port, on the iPhone 10s, USB type-c port, on the Pixel 4a, and on the back single camera setup on the Pixel 4a dual camera setup on the iPhone 10s and tend to be a glass back on the iPhone x. This one I have skin on, but the pixel Fourier we have a fingerprint sensor as well as a plastic back which I'm not a fan of. I don't like plastic backs. This phone definitely feels like pretty cheap phone from the back, but still for a budget phone, that's kind of what you expect, so I don't really hate on it.

I think it's pretty much good for the most part. I wouldn't really complain about it too much, but it is something to consider at the end of the day now that pretty much covers it up for the outside and pretty much for the body. Now there is IB certification on the iPhone tennis as well might be certification on the Pixel 4a. It's another big thing to keep in mind, but really in terms of everything else. I think I pretty much covered up the outside hitting on this software they're, both on you know pretty good versions of software, this one's on the m310.

This is actually on the iOS 14 beta right now, but it'll get better over time. So I'm not going to talk about the stability. What I am going to talk about is the longevity and in terms of this one the 10s is, I think, is still going to outlast the Pixel 4a. The pixel 4 is going to get android, 11, 12 and 13. I think it's going to stop at android 13.

So pretty much. You know three more years of life cycle with the tennis getting 14, 15 16, and I think it'll end around 16 or 17, but you're still going to get an extra year. Software support in terms of security updates on a phone like an iPhone XS, where you may get security updates for a little while on the Google Pixel 4a, but I still feel, like the tennis may still last the Pixel 4a when it comes down to software. I guess we'll see what happens in the future, but it's not like one's going to completely outlast the other one they're both going to be perfect. So I think, at the end of the day, they're going to be okay, but- and I wouldn't even worry about the software updates right now, because both these phones are going to be lasting for a very long amount of time.

So in terms of the software that pretty much covers it, I'll go and hit on the performance, and I'll go ahead and throw a little of speed comparison in there too, the iPhone 10s has an Apple A12, bionic chip, hex core CPU, with four gigs of ram and each model with a Pixel 4a has a Qualcomm snapdragon, 730 g chipset, an outscore CPU and arena 618 GPU and six gigs of ram on the only one model that it has so with that being said, I have some similar apps on here too, so let me go ahead and run a speed comparison and see which one is the faster one. Okay, I'm back. I have all the apps cleared out in the background. No, I don't. Okay, let's go and play all these things out.

I have some third-party apps that I installed this way. So let me go ahead and run through some of these Facebook. Three two one and iPhone 10s is actually faster. There pixel 4 was a little slower twitter. Three two ones.

I think the iPhone 10s was a little faster there. The Pixel 4a again was a little slower, Quizlet three two ones. I think the Pixel 4a was actually a little faster. There Netflix three, two one in pixel, 4a, faster there iPhone 10, is slightly behind. Let's do temple run the original one, three two one I may have to restart this one, so I'm probably going to have to do that and no, I did not, and the iPhone 10s was first followed by the Pixel 4a.

That 1 was second in that case, do snake versus blocks, 3, 2, 1. And iPhone 10s was a little behind pixel 4. It was definitely ahead of that one getting into some speed comparison. Let's see if there's a difference- and there may be now they're about the same when it comes down to the speed comparison. For that specific app, we can do temple run 2 3, 2 1.

Now these two aren't a little different of a version, but there's you know they're almost exact same thing: it's the exact same thing at the end of the day, so they look kind of even there. I don't know if one's going to settle more than the other one that tends to happen and that one was pretty tough. I honestly don't know, I think you guys will be able to tell over the camera, but I'll go ahead, and you know do a little of this one see if there's any stuttering, which I don't think there will be, I'm actually pretty surprised how well the pixel 4 is handling again. This used to be a thousand dollar phone, the iPhone 10s, the Pixel 4a is a know: 350 phone brand new, it's going to end it off with real racing. Three, two one.

I thought I didn't set it so that right there is a big thing to keep in mind on androids. For some reason, there's a lot of stuttering going on iOS is so much smoother, but there was a little glitch that happened in the beginning with, and hopefully I don't have to redownload it, because that would be really annoying and the pixel 4 was definitely ahead. The iPhone 10s definitely took its time there. So for sure. At the end of the day, I'm pretty sure the one's a tough one.

Sometimes the iPhone 10s is faster. Sometimes the pixel 4 is faster. I don't know if there was like a consistent one, every single time, but I'll probably say it's like 50 50. , sometimes, but even at the end of the day, if the pixel 4 was faster, the tennis was right behind it. If the 10s was faster, the pixel 4 was right behind it.

So let's go ahead on the cameras. Very briefly, like I said before single camera setup on the Pixel 4a dual camera setup on the 10s, you have two 12 megapixel sensors on the iPhone 10s, a wide angle lens and a telephoto lens with the Pixel 4a. You have a 12.2 megapixel sensor. Now both cameras are good, but I still think the iPhone 10s is a superior one. You have the capability of shooting 4k videos at 60 frames per second, which is a huge thing, and I really do like that.

On the pixel 4, you have that 4k 30 with that 12.2 megapixel wide angle lens, but you only like tap out there. You don't have 4k860. The software is good. Everything is good about it, but I still prefer the iPhone 10s camera. I think, on the front seven megapixel sensor on the iPhone 10s 8 megapixel sensor on the Pixel 4a, and even here I would still give the edge to the iPhone 10s.

You have the ability of shooting 1080p at 60 frames per. Second, we only have 1080p at 30 years, so even there I would probably give the edge to the iPhone 10s now ending it off with the battery life. You have a 2658 million power battery on the iPhone 10s, with a 3 140 million battery on the Pixel 4a, and surprisingly I'll actually give the edge to the Pixel 4a. I think it actually has the better battery life here, definitely not like the best battery life in the world, but compared to these two I would still probably give the edge to the Pixel 4a. It has pretty decent battery life now to kind of sum up this video.

Okay, to answer the question which one should you pick up? Okay, should you pick up the iPhone 10s? Should you get the Pixel 4a? In my opinion, I don't think you can really go wrong with either one of these, but there definitely is a better option. I think, with the iPhone 10s you're, getting a better feeling phone you're, getting wireless charging you're getting a better screen, in my opinion, you're getting a really, really good performing phone software updates are great, but on the Pixel 4a you're getting a cheaper phone with a perfect software. I like that stock android battery life is better performance, is pretty much on par with a 2018 thousand dollar phone yeah. It doesn't feel as good, but you can get these things brand new. You don't have to worry about handling down the price, and it's a really, really good phone at the end of the day.

So you can't really go wrong with either of these. Like I said, but if it was me I would still probably pick up an iPhone 10s, but the pixel 4 is still a tremendous phone in my opinion, so that's really pretty much it if you guys have any other questions or anything.
