Google Pixel 4a Unboxing & First Impressions! #Pixel4a By J. Williams

All right guys today we peel the wraps off of the Pixel 4a. This is pix4a uh, six gigs of ram 128 gigs of storage. Let's get it peeled off shout out to team pixel. This is a gift from Google hashtag gift from Google. You say that a lot, that's because I'm a part of team pixel, and they send these phones over to us. So I appreciate you guys joining me now, let's get into this unboxing, this will be available soon for you to purchase, but let's tear it open and let's get into it.

This is just black with the green button there. Let's do it. So, as you can see here, your face with the device right off the rip. Uh just pulls up, it's actually a perfect size, and I have to tell you about the rip. This is a lot lighter than I thought it was gonna, be I'm not gonna lie, so it just comes like this I'll be ordering some tempered glass or something like that for this uh.

But here it is in the box. I won't bore this you too long with this. You get a sim ejection tool right there, and you get the same stuff that you actually get for, like the pixel 4 pretty much. So let's put this away uh and let's get to the phone, and I will give you samples and everything around the back here. Obviously you got the same camera ultimately from the pixel 4.

So but this phone costs 350 bucks. This is a lot less in price, and you're still getting these stellar cameras and hopefully better battery, and if it's not broken, don't fix it. So that means you get a fingerprint reader in the back of the device, and I really like that. You got the highlighted power button. There, volume, rocker and sim trays over here, headphone jack.

Up top. I mean this is like a combination of the pixel 4 and the Pixel 3a, all together, which is great microphone and then type c and the speaker on the bottom there. So this phone actually has stereo speakers, it's one in the earpiece and there's one down here and then the other one's a microphone. So just looking at this man, this is a good-sized phone man. Basically a 5.8 inch display cameras off to the side there. So I'm going to get this fired up, I'm going to do photos, videos, whatever you want to see me, do I'm going to do it with this device, like I do in all fashion uh.

This is a really nice. I didn't know how I feel about this design with not having that cut across like that, but this actually looks great so um. I think this is going to come in different colors in other countries. Don't quote me on that? But I've seen some videos. I don't know whether they're real or not, but I've seen some videos of um this phone in different in a white color.

So google will confirm that later for India, but for now this is the Pixel 4a. I'm going to pop my sim card in here. I'm going to get this uh set up, and I'll be right back keep watching all right, so I intentionally didn't install anything um any apps or anything like that. Furthermore, I didn't do a restore or anything like that, because I want to get into the device. So here it is man um.

This is where you're going to be after you get to all the things in here. I guess there's a five sim card in here, because it's saying it's from activate five, I'm like whoa. My five sim cards are my other phone. Nonetheless, here it is right here it's doing the installation of whatever apps was trying to update, but this is what it's going to look like, and I love the wallpaper. I don't need to change the wallpaper.

For the first time, I've taken a phone out of a box in a long time, no need to change the wallpaper. This is fantastic, so it hides a little camera almost away, and I love the gradual fade. If you know this is the type of wallpapers I use uh on my phones anyway. So here it is, you've got the pixel uh. You got the um when you slide over you've got the uh google feed there slide up.

There's absolutely no bloatware in here. One thing I'm happy to see. Uh is the recorder in here, and I mean this is just a huge plus folk. This is this: is the 4 and the 3a together. That's what this is the 4 and the 3a together.

That's my thoughts on this right. Just after having it right out-of-the-box like this, this feels fantastic. It's a great size. I got big hands yeah, but this is a big phone. Let's not sleep on it.

This is, is big to a lot of people. You know I'm saying so. I love the full looking display. Some people are going to complain about the bezels and all this other stuff. This is a great looking phone.

Now that I have it in hand, I often wondered how it's going to feel about it. I love the flat matte design. I set up two fingerprints or whatever, so, let's get into storage, as you can see already it's right there, 128 gigs of storage. This is beast mode. I always turn on smart storage, so it can kind of take care of things in the background for me, but um here it is to see what it's on the August 5th security patch and to today is august uh.

What is today is August 4th so yeah it's ready. It's ready, it's ready folks. So there we go uh. This is the menu system. That's going to display here you can do dark theme, obviously lights out, yeah.

I'm feeling that uh, let's see here, you've, got your clock as a screen saver default screen size. You can see its kind of medium, I'm glad I started working with the um navigation gestures uh, even though you can probably turn on the buttons or whatever. I don't really plan on doing that. Oh, here's something else. I like that they have 30 minutes in there and instead of just a limit of 10 minutes for keeping the screen on because sometimes when you're doing videos, you know you're going to have those long, um videos, sometimes folks.

This is straight up. Pixel 4 all day I mean it says the 4a bars. I'm brushing my shoulder off right now, yeah, so you can do all of this. This is and again this isn't a bad thing. This isn't a complaint.

This is I'm glad that you know they have this complete pixel 4 dropped all the way down to the 4a at a lower cost. The only hit that I think people are gonna really take on this phone, and it's really not even something that um here's some of these right here. Where it's making fun it's got the little. Then it covers up the camera. So that's pretty cool.

Oh here's, a bunch of them yeah. There is a bunch that are in here glad to see they added a bunch of them in here man. This is good, that's a good thing, but you know, I think, the only thing that people can complain about with this phone, and they probably won't even have a legitimate complaint after they use it for a while is the processor. That's the only thing. I think that people could have something to complain about, and I think that's going to be reaching a little, because what is why does it matter that a certain processor is on a phone if the phone is doing what you need it to do? That's what it is so uh unboxing uh.

First impressions, man, this thing is going to be nice. I can. I can see it also. It's a system play update for the system. Oh, that was Google play update, but nonetheless it should be a nice blazing fast phone I'll get all my apps in here anything any videos.

Okay, let's be clear here. You already know that this thing is going to be king of cameras, because the pixel 4 to me holds the title for cameras period. You know taking photos with the pixel.4 is incredible, and now the 4a as I block this call out- and I take it in a second now- the 4a is just beast mode. We get ready to get it in if there's something wrong with this phone folks. If it's something I don't like, I'm going to tell you I'm not just going to say: hey! Oh, it's great, you know pixel! No, I'm going to call it as good as I can see it in my catalog how this phone fits and how it's going to uh fit you possibly if you decide to do it so yeah am I excited? Oh, yeah.

Let me see if the fingerprint will come on. Oh yeah, that's that's a nice! That's a nice fast fingerprint man! I'm pretty sure all the other retailers will get it to um.
