Google's pixel to Excel has a greatly acclaimed camera, even though it's a single sensor, but up against it today is the new Samsung Galaxy Note 9 camera. Let's see how they stack up. First up is a scenic picture, while both phones produce a good image. The pixel to Excel has more of the highlights in the picture and better dynamic range. As seen from the background attention. The picture from the pixel to Excel also has a bit more contrast.
Moving to this picture of a flower, both phones have nice shallow depth of field. The flowers colors look more realistic on the pixel to excel, and details are sharper on to another macro, the greens from the pixel to excel look more natural over the note, 9 spongier green colors. Now, in terms of portraits the note 9, the pixel to Excel are equally good at edge detection, but when it comes to the reproduction of colors, the pixel to Excel is once again superior with the note 9 pictures looking pale at to exhume, both phones are pretty hard to tell apart at face value, but more detail is preserved by the note 9 at 10x zoom again. The note 9 is better, probably because of the dual camera is an optical zoom support. It has moving indoors.
Both the phones have a different representation of colors I, think the sharpness and the details of the pixel to Excel is good, but when it comes to exposure compensation, the note 9 is better. Here's a low lit sample outdoors, where both phones are matching each other very well, and there is nothing that makes one picture stand out over the other, except for the fact that the note 9 pictures seems to capture slightly less noise than that of the pixel.2 excels in the next two pictures as well. Both phones process, low-light images the same way but have minor differences like in this one, where the green on the plant has been bumped by the pixel. To give it a higher contrast, look switching to selfies the pixel 2 is much better than the note 9 and with portrait. The same is the case with the pixel to Excel having better edge detection mode during the night as well.
The pixel 2 holds its own with a sharper picture over the softer note, 9, selfie and with portrait mode it is still the pixel to excel that keeps the lead. That being said, if you prefer beautified pictures with skin smoothening etc. , you might just like the note 9 more to round up here's a look at video performance from both the phones. The note 9 footage looks a bit shaky her than the pixel to excel, but I prefer the colors on it in terms of dynamic range, though the pixel to Excel is the better of the two. But that's all from me.
Let us know how both phones perform down in the comments and leave suggestions on which phones to compare next. Thanks for watching and subscribe for more note, 9 coverage coming your way very shortly.
