Hey guys this is Bharat watch with phone arena. Comm and I have the gone Life phi with me, but before we start unboxing this to us, I just want to say that ME is a company. It's a Chinese company that has its operations in India, but the good thing about this company is that it has its own manufacturing facility and R&D center in China, which we recently visited and found to be quite interesting, because this is one of the large scale operations that's happening in Shenzhen part of China. You may have known that Indian companies like Micromax and carbon. They have previously used Gianni's designs and devices and rebranded them in the Indian market. But ME is now here with its whole range of smartphones for India.
He left III was already good, and this time we have got the Life phi. This is also a significant shift from the earlier Chinese phones in terms of internals, because this is running on the MediaTek mt6752 hertz MediaTek processor, that's different from the whole range of mt6589, so this is also a significant shift, a mark of new times. Perhaps so, let's get to unboxing the device first, the box on the top of the foam core box. Of course, you have, you can see the device itself. Otherwise, you have details of the hardware so bringing it closer.
You can see that it has the AMOLED screen. The AMOLED screen is 4.8 inches, which is pretty much the same as the galaxy s3 screen. And then you have the 1.5 gigahertz C CP, of course, which is the mt6589 T. You have full HD video recording and DTS sound and/or at the top. You can see that the phone comes with 365 days of warranty, which gone will service in here, and you have got a free flip cover which will see inside the sides of the box are normal and over the back.
You have the specs for 1/8-inch screen just six point: eight five millimeters thick insanely thin, and then you have Bluetooth 4.0 cameras, eight megapixels at the rear and five megapixel Full HD at the front, yeah be a recording. Of course, it runs on 4.2, jellybean, 1.5, gigahertz, quad Tech's, an a7 processor, which is the media, tech, 65 and T. Again, the turbo I have got 16gb of RAM and 1gb of RAM and I think there is no micros expandable storage, but we will see about that.2000 mAh battery is pretty standard for these kinds of phones. Unfortunately, the box was already open, so kinda bad with this, because this is an already opened and reviewed device that unique caves so opening the box. But then just a quick thing here we also have a very similar super thin device.
These solo queue thousand s that's also running on the latest media tech, six, five, eight 90 turbo platforms, so pretty similar devices these two- and we also have the Q thousand s for unboxing, so check this unboxing out after the like phi, which will be up in our YouTube channel, just a heads-up. So anyway, let's open the device now alright. So on the top of the box itself, you have the device. You have pretty stuck a sticker on the top, which is very similar to what Samsung does, so you have the AMOLED screen. You have the jelly bean mm match battery, but we already know that and the device feels amazingly good in the hand.
This is probably only the highest quality plastic I have seen apart from you, know the likes of Nokia or HTC, but this is really, really good, amazing stuff from gone, but we'll take a look at the device later putting it aside, we'll see what the box contents are underneath the box, the device here you have, the flip cover the flip cover is actually made of a perfect material here. Let's try to take it out pretty hard to take it out, so we'll just rip it off all right. So that's the flip cover of the Life phi, very rubbery, very drippy, and feels really nice so other than that. You also have a bunch of other box contents. In fact, a lot you have the service center list, which is paramount for any unknown brand in India.
They have provided this, which is quite nice. You also have the warranty card, which you can fill in with the customer details and the product variants and take it to the customer center. You also have this gone Android series, just a small card, nothing else, and then you have the user guide, pretty nicely done there, and you have a free screen protector, which everyone definitely buys after buying a smartphone these days. But there is not only one. You have two screen protectors for your phone, because the only things you might lose, or probably it'll, wear off soon, so they have given you two, which is pretty awesome.
You know for a Chinese smartphone, you don't usually get spare parts here so giving a custom tailor made screen reflection. Film is really nice, and then you have the travel adapter. Of course. Actually this is one of the nicely packaged Chinese phones that we have recently seen pretty nicely made no cheap stuff all good, and you have a really nicely colored black and red, yes, earphones with the headset, of course, with the mic and whatnot in your type. These look really, really good.
Let me go close a little. These are almost like. The HTC beats earphones that gave me the HTC devices. They look really nice, and you have a long, microUSB cable that connects to the PC for data transfer, as well as the charging with the power adapter. So that's it for the box contents a lot.
Actually you have the flip cover. You have the two scratch cards and a lot more. We really, really like the looks of the earphones, and we will see how it performs in our tests. So let's take a look at the smartphone now this is the gone Life. If I hear 4.8 inch, AMOLED screen on the front pretty much similar to the galaxy s3, but the device looks absolutely stunning and white. It has a great quality plastic on the back and drilling Wow.
This is a very nicely built phone from gone, and I'm completely in love with it. So let's take a quick Hardware walk through of this device. You have a screen protector here and since they have given extra, do I'm choosing to take this thing off and look at that look how slick it looks on the front. It has a really slick display, which is your know, completely black, and it's hard to see the bezels sometimes, but then again, it's really, really good. So, let's take a harder walkthrough.
Now on the front, you have the 4.8 inch Super AMOLED HD display. So it's a twenty eighty by seven. Twenty-four point: it's in screen, sixteen by nine format there above the display. You have got the front facing camera, it's a five megapixel front facing camera and can record in Full HD. You have got the earpiece here and the obvious sensors hidden besides the earpiece or at the bottom.
Here you have the capacitive shortcuts for home, contextual menu and back and the primary microphone. The back actually encompasses the whole phone and shows up in the front. So from the front it has a really nice-looking white outline, as you can see here over at the top. You have the 3.5 mm audio jack over at the right. You have the microUSB port and the SIM card slot, which is Micro SIM, nothing else there over at the left.
Furthermore, you have the lock switch /, the power button on the left in the middle and the volume rocker above it, and surprisingly, this is made in metal, as you can see, and it's beautifully made. It feels really nice and behind and perfect stuff good, build quality from G only there or at the bottom. You have nothing but, as you saw already, you have the primary microphone Q over at the back. You have the 8 megapixel camera capable of taking 1080p full HD videos. Furthermore, you have the secondary microphone here for stereo audio and the single LED flash.
Furthermore, you have the gone branding and pretty much very minimal on the back I really like it. Furthermore, you have the DTS planning ? at the bottom and the speaker's here. So let's not wait. This is a completely sealed phone, so there is no battery to remove or install so let's just power this phone on and see how awesome it is. We hope there's some charge left, because this is already used device, and we might not really see the full charge of the phone.
Pretty neat animation there for the boot screen, not that it really matters. Oh, that's some gimmick right. There I hope you can listen to the sound because it looks like something made by Samsung. So that's the welcome screen there and, of course you have mobile security because apparently Android has viruses. We haven't seen it anything yet, but that's what these companies think and to increase the trust they do install things like this, so let's just race through these menus looks like it doesn't have any.
It does have some modifications to the UI. The sliding animation looks different, it's just and, as you can notice here, it has the stock keyboard, which is quite nice, most gone phones and all these Chinese manufactures the ones that run on MediaTek have the stock UI, and we stock keyboard and the stock apps mostly. But there are some slight modifications like you can see here, there's a lot of change in the icons, and you have different widgets and whatnot, but first impressions say that the device looks really, really good. The display is awesome is the same display as the galaxy s3. So you can expect it to be perfect and if you can see closer, the display is really, really nice.
Taking a look at the UI here, changed icons, change, widgets looks, okay, doesn't really bode well for the phone for the minimalistic hardware. This is pretty bloated for a UI, but it has hand road 4.2. As you can see, you have the quick toggles here you have the power saving options. You have a different kind of scrolling, let's go into the settings and show you how it is, so we have common settings as well as all settings pretty different from the normal UI. It has a wide UI, unlike the other phones and then Android 4.2.1. Of course, the backlit keys light up, as you can see in the phone, and we'll be taking an in-depth look of this phone later.
That's about it for the quick look at the gone Life phi, pretty damn good. Looking for, I love the hardware, and we will see how the software part goes but looks like running a third-party launch of a fix every irritating thing about the launcher here. So I think that should do good, so yeah, that's about it! That's the gone, Life phi unboxing and a quick hardware and I walk through this is a brilliant device, and I'm really looking forward to trying it more.
