Galaxy Watch 4 Release Date, News, Rumours & Leaked Images! - Wear OS Could Be Good?

The new galaxy watch, 4 release date has pretty much been confirmed. Leaked images are starting to surface and more details on the next big version of Google's Wear OS have started to surface, but how is this going to affect older Wear OS devices and indeed older galaxy watch devices? Let's talk about that? What's up guys, welcome back to techie easy a little of a galaxy watch, 4 news updates for you today, but before we jump into that, if you could quickly leave a cheeky like subscribe to the channel check out the discord server and take a look at our brand-new channel, teeny's top 5, that would be awesome links down below, so the galaxy watch 4 release date in case you missed it. Last week a rather cryptic tweet appeared stating that the galaxy watch, 4 and active 4 will be released early August alongside the zed flip and the fold 3. , there were rumors about a July release date. But, as I said at the time, I was doubtful that that would happen as it would leave less than a year between the release of the galaxy watch 3 and the new galaxy watch 4. What we may in fact, see in July or indeed end of June being tomorrow is a lot more information and possibly a first look at the galaxy watch.4 and active 4. Dropping tomorrow is the MWC event where Samsung is expected to show off the new version of Wear OS and perhaps show off the galaxy watch 4 and active 4 in full.

So do look out for that. I will most likely post something in the discord server about that, so make sure you've joined to stay up to date. Also, on that subject, there have already been some leaked images of the galaxy active iv and the galaxy watch for, however, on a lot of blogs, people are saying that this is the galaxy watch 4. To me. This looks very much like an active watch and I really hope that this isn't what the galaxy watch is going to look like.

I will post all of those leaked images in the discord server, so you can have a quick look through, but I don't really want to put them in the video yet because I'm not too sure how I feel about them. If this is in fact the design of the new galaxy watch 4, this is a huge change from what they normally go for, and it actually takes away from the classic watch style that Samsung have usually followed now for the main focus of the video. What is going to happen to older ti zen devices and indeed Wear OS devices? There's a lot of articles floating around suggesting that older Wear OS devices are going to get left in the dust here and there will be no backwards. Compatibility this, at least to my knowledge, isn't true at all devices running on the newer snapdragon 4100 chips and 3100 chips respectively should be able to make the leap to Wear OS 3.0 no problems. So that means some of the latest fossil watches and the brand new tic watch e3 I reviewed last week should all be fine, but funnily enough, companies such as Moby and fossil appear none the wiser when it comes down to compatibility, apparently they're, just as in the dark as we are.

If I was to make a guess, I would say: support for older versions of Wear OS will continue for a while and watches that have the capacity to make the upgrade will be able to do so. Can the same be said for ti zen, though, with Wear OS you'd simply be updating your software, something that happens quite commonly, but with ti zen you'd be moving on to a whole different platform. So will this make the galaxy watch 3 and older galaxy watch devices useless? Again I had a guess, I'm going to say no, I'm pretty certain that support will continue for the galaxy watch and galaxy watch 3 for some time, and I'd like to think. At the very least, the galaxy watch.3 will be able to make the update and to be honest, if it does, it could see gains in battery life because of the better optimized UI, potentially making it a more appealing buy. For those of you looking to save some money.

When the galaxy watch 4 is released and, to be honest, it will make the galaxy watch 3 feels like a whole new watch. The move to Wear OS is big, and it could potentially shake up the market a little since there is a clear divide amongst apple ti zen and Wear OS. Bringing Samsung watches to ti zen will only close that gap, putting more pressure on apple, and it may even force them to make their smartwatches compatible with android in the future. But if history has anything to say about that, Apple will most likely stand their ground currently end of q1 2021 Apple accounts for 33.5 of the smartwatch market. Tyson is eight percent, where OS 3.9 and Fitbit 3.7, the rest is held by Huawei, a maze fit which actually holds 4.2 percent of the market. Currently, then Garmin and all the other lesser known, watch brands.

Now, why did I mention Fitbit? Well, google actually acquired Fitbit not too long ago and if they end up pushing their Wear OS to Fitbit. This is another point to google, not to mention bringing some much-loved Fitbit features to Wear OS, essentially bringing the best bits of three different operating systems to make one super OS to rule them all. If they pull this off, it could be absolutely huge if we add the three point: seven percent of the market Fitbit holds to the Wear OS at three point: nine percent and ties in at eight percent we're now looking at something like this fifteen point. Six percent of the market would now effectively be dominated by where OS still only half of apple, but the walls are closing in the release of something like the much rumored pixel watch could close that gap even more just some food for thought. For you.

If you were a little worried about the move to Wear OS, all I'm saying is: there's definitely some positive to take out of this, and it is a huge, huge move. So that's it for today's little update. Really. I will most likely be back next week with an update for you after the MWC event dropping tomorrow. So if you did enjoy the video, please do leave a like subscribe to the channel and check out the discord server for a bit more information for now, though, I've been Alex, this has been.

Take it easy. Thank you so much for watching, and I'll see you in the next one. I am.
