Galaxy Tab S6 Emulation Test - Dreamcast Saturn PS2 Gamecube 3DS By ETA PRIME

What's going on guys the CTA Prime back here again today, I am back with the Samsung Galaxy Tab s 6, and we're going to be testing out some emulation performance on this tablet. This is an absolute beast of an Android tablet and in my opinion this is the best Android tablet ever created. As you already might have guessed, it's not cheap, starting at six hundred and fifty dollars on up to seven hundred and thirty. For the 256 gigabyte model, you could buy a nice little laptop for the price. You're going to pay for something like this I recently posted a full review on the tab s6, if you're interested in checking that out I'll leave a link in the description, but in this video we're going to be testing out some emulators like PSP Dream cast, Gamete, 3ds, Naomi, atomiswave, Sega, Saturn and PS2. For these tests, I'm going to be going with my trusty old Xbox One controller.

It connects over Bluetooth and works throughout the Android operating system on this tablet. But if you want a controller that will hold the tablet, I would recommend something like the eye Sega 98 III. It does hold this tablet quite well. It'll do up to I think a 12-inch tablet I've been able to get this in there and a few other ones. I've done a review on it, and I'll leave a link in the description it's around $30 on Amazon before we get started here.

I just want to give you a quick rundown of the basic specs on the tab. S6 for the CPU. We have this snapdragon 855. This is the seven nanometer version. The GPU is the Arduino 640 at 585 megahertz there are two variants: you can get the six gigabyte model that also come with 128 gigabytes of storage or the 8 gigabyte model, which has 256 gigabytes of storage, but both of these versions will support a micros card up to one terabyte.

The display on this thing is unmatched. It's a 10.5 inch Super AMOLED display at 1600 by 2560, absolutely amazing, quad, speaker setup tuned by AKG, with Dolby Atmos, a 7000 40 William hour battery with 15 watt, fast charging capabilities, and they do claim up to 16 hours of screen on time, but it's more around 12 to 13 hours, which isn't that at all, the operating system is Android 9.0 along with Samsung 1 UI, and we do have Samsung decks so with all that out of the way, let's go ahead and get into some testing. First up we're going to go with PSP. I will have the name of the system. The emulator and the game displayed on screen.

Basically, PSP emulation using pass on the tab. S6 is going to be a non-issue in some games. I've been able to go up to 5x resolution without turning any of the hacks on this game set to 4x. But when we move over to God of War I set it down to 3x pretty much the same thing here with Dream cast using the red ream emulator. This is Daytona.

USA I am upscale to 1280 by 960. It looks great on the screen here and as long as the game is compatible with the red ream emulator, this tablet's going to play it fine moving over to retroarch, foursome, Naomi and atomiswave emulation using fly cast for this is dolphin blue performance with this emulator either using Naomi, atomiswave or even Dream cast works fine on this tablet. Here's the dolphin emulator running the Gamete version of auto modal ISTA. Now I did test out a few. Other games are just hard to kind of display on YouTube anymore, but winemaker Super Mario sunshine super smash, bros and Mario Kart all work flawlessly either using OpenGL or the Vulcan back-end Oh.

Next up we have some 3d simulation using the Ciara in NJ bill. Now, unfortunately, this is a relatively new emulator and optimizations need to be had before we get full speed on anything. Now there are reports that some games do run at full speed, but I'm going to take that with a grain of salt, because I haven't been able to get anything to run at a constant 60 fps. Just keep in mind. It is very, very early for 3ds emulation on Android I, think it will get there, but it's going to take a little of time.

Sega Saturn emulation is really great on the Galaxy Tab s6, as long as you're using your boss and Shirt, either the retroarch court or the standalone emulator I did try beetle, but unfortunately we just don't have enough power to push that emulator. And finally, we have some PS2 emulation, I'm using daemon PS2 from the Google Play Store. You got to keep in mind that this emulator really isn't that great, it's using a lot of hacks, so some games may display 60fps, but they feel more like 45 because of all the hacks that are going on. In the background. There are a few games that run relatively well with daemon PS2 Pro, but they're few and far in between this emulator needs a lot of work, or we need somebody else to hit the scene with a better emulator up in the very top left-hand corner.

We do have the FPS display. This is Taken 5. It's saying you're running at around fifty-nine point, eight FPS, but it feels more like thirty, that's what I was talking about all the hacks going on in the background just make gameplay unplayable in my opinion. Now this is one game that actually functions pretty good I guess the developers have been working on this specific game because it does seem a little choppy kind of like frame skip, but it's not as bad as a lot of the other games, I've tested and wrapping up the PS2 emulation. We have Shadow of the Colossus I just wanted to throw this in here.

I knew it wasn't going to run well at all or at around 25 fps, and we're in a relatively easy spot to run as soon as we turn around and look at this castle or monument, it's going to be a long time before Shadow of the Colossus is playable on Android, so, overall the tab s6 handles emulation really well. This is my favorite tablet that I've ever reviewed on my channel and as of making this video. This is the most powerful Android tablet on the market right now. I do want to mention that all the games you saw running in this video that weren't at full speed. All of that really comes down to the emulator itself.

They need a lot of optimizations they're, not ready for mainstream. Yet, of course, more CPU and GPU power never hurt, but if I run, let's say daemon PS2 on a PC running android x86 at 4 gigahertz with the 20 80 TI, it still lags. So that's pretty much it for this video guys.
