What's up everybody: this is Danny and this is the Samsung Galaxy s21 ultra, and I've been using this for about two weeks now. So I want to share my experience with you today, I'm in the beautiful city of Tampa, because the sponsor of this video T-Mobile told me to come check it out because there's some awesome 5g here, so we're definitely gonna. Do that so spend the day with me, we're going to explore the city, and then I'm going to show you some real world tests of the galaxy s21 ultra, especially this monster camera system. But it's early I need a little pick-me-up. We need to go, find some coffee the best coffee around me all. Alright, this place looks good.
Let's navigate to it all right, let's go! Ah, that is so much better. You wouldn't believe it, but it's actually cold in Florida today. But the first thing I want to talk about is the display on the galaxy s21 ultra. This 6.8 inch display is absolutely fantastic. Basically one of the best on the market.
You get a fast 120, hertz refresh rate, but now you get that at full resolution. So this is basically the best that you can get right now and the one thing that makes a real world difference is the improved fingerprint scanner. It's larger. I didn't think it was going to make that much of a difference, but it hits literally every single time. So I think that this is perfect, especially in the world of master right now.
You definitely need a reliable fingerprint scanner, and this is much improved from the last generation, so my car needed a little of charge, so I'm glad that there was one near so while my car is charging, let's talk about 5g and why it's important, I think a lot of people have a misconception about 5g. That 5g is something that is just way in the future, and that's not true, because 5g is available now, especially on T-Mobile. In fact, T-Mobile has 5g in all 50 states in the US, and the rollout just keeps getting larger when T-Mobile merged with sprint that helped them expand their 5g footprint significantly. Bringing the two carriers together is bringing 5g to the masses with extended range coverage and, at the same time bringing superfast. Ultra capacity speeds, that's a lot of technical talk, but what this translates to is just a better experience with compatible devices like the Samsung Galaxy s21 ultra 5g.
That means faster download speeds for your apps games. TV shows and movies reducing latency on your favorite streaming apps, and you can even play graphically intensive console games right on your smartphone, even when you're not at home, so the list just keeps going on and on and on it makes a real world difference. So I see there's 5g here: let's go ahead and give a quick speed test. Here we go wow, solid speeds, right off the bat here and what's funny, is that this is faster than my home, Wi-Fi insane. What we're getting right now and the upload speed wow.
I can definitely upload a video on this. I'm definitely going to have to try that now that I have enough charge, I heard the beaches in Tampa are absolutely beautiful. Let's go to the beach and test the camera. I think it's one of the best places to do so. Let's do it so now.
I want to talk about the cameras on the galaxy s.21 ultra. You have a 12 megapixel wide, and you also have a 108 megapixel main sensor, this generation 2. Then you also have two zooms on here. You have 3x and 10x zoom, which is awesome, and you can go all the way up to 100x, which I'll show you in just a little, and you also have laser autofocus during the day. It's an incredible camera.
I'm going to show you some samples of what I've been shooting here out at the beach. The dynamic range is incredible. The colors are awesome. I mean this is a camera that you're absolutely going to enjoy. It's definitely one of the best.
That's out on the market right now, one of the most flexible cameras on the market as well when it comes to video that flexibility still extends. Here's a demo that I did on the phone check this out. So look at this video test. This is ultra-wide angle. You can see I'm in a shadow spot.
Lots of dynamic range over there, it looks fantastic, let me switch over to the main and then to 3x. It looks really, really great and then now I can punch into the 10x over here and look at that zoom range you can get and the depth of field that you can get on a smartphone. This is absolutely incredible, and it shoots all the way up to 8k video in 24 frames per second, which I'm going to do right now. So here's that AK video, I just shot, look at the amount of detail you can zoom in its still super clear and what I'm going to do is I'm going to upload this to YouTube, because, even though we're at the beach still have 5g right here on T-Mobile here, is that two-minute 8k video that I took? Let's go ahead and upload it to YouTube. Look at that! It's preparing superfast and then look at that looks like we have about five minutes or six minutes to upload 8k video.
That is pretty incredible, so we're back in the city. All that running around made me definitely hungry and Tampa has some legit food, and I think I found some amazing pizza. Gotta. Try. This out looks so good.
Oh, incredible one thing with a camera with food: try food mode, it might not be the most accurate representation, and it does give it a little saturation, but it makes the food look really yummy and there's a really cool section where you can kind of hollow out where the background separation goes to, and it can really give it a nice look. So try out food mode on the galaxy s21 ultra, so I'm at Tampa's river walk and look at the sunset. This is beautiful. I definitely got to call my wife and I want to show her how dope this is. Look at my hair.
It looks like crap, hello, hey, kids, hey guys, you got to look at this. You got to look at Tampa. Look the sun's setting right now take a look ready. Let me show you wow, look at the way it looks. It looks awesome right yeah.
I can't wait to take you guys here. It's going to be awesome. I'll see you home very soon, okay, I'll see you soon I'll see you tomorrow, love you lovely, father, love! You bye! That video call went super smooth over 5g, so that beautiful sunset has to be captured. So here's a good camera test of the dynamic range and the colors on the galaxy s21 ultra we'll take a shot here. Look at that 3x, look at those rich, colors awesome and even at 10x.
Look at that! Get that nice silhouette there beautiful this flexibility in this camera. I absolutely love it do so. Let's talk about the low light performance on this phone and the biggest improvement that I've seen so far is literally just on the single snap shooting without night mode. You can see how fast the shutter is, and the dynamic range is really, really good on this, and you can see that there's not much noise at all. They've done a very good job of reducing the noise and then let's go to the night mode.
Here you can see it says auto two seconds, but you can go up here and hit maximum and that's going to give you the maximum amount of light. You hit the night mode hold the phone still boom there. It is, and then you're going to see that you have a lot more detail here. Look at all the shadows! Look at the trees, it's nice and sharp, but you can see right here, there's a little of haloing and some noise. So let me give you a pro-tip.
What you can do is you can lock the exposure here, and then you can pull it down a little and then do the night mode, and then you're going to get a more natural looking night mode. You see this now. You don't have as much flaring back here, and you have a little better noise and looks a little more natural, so down exposure a little and then take the night shot. So we're going to end nighttime with one of the coolest features on this phone, and tonight it turned out to be perfect because there is a full moon in the sky, and I'm pretty sure that you've heard of these 100x moon zoom shots. Let me show you how they work.
So the first thing that you want to do is make sure you have scene detection on without scene detection. This is not going to work, so what you do is you can go into 3x zoom, then there's 10x, but as soon as you hit 30x, that's when it's gonna kick in and look at how clear that is it stabilizes boom. I can take that shot, but let's do 100x there. It is look at the detail on that. Moon.
Let's take that shot. Wow! Look at the detail on this moon. This is insane. I've never seen this on a smartphone before so wow, so we're just finishing up getting something to eat at the end of the night. It's been a long day, but I want to talk about the battery on the galaxy s21 ultra 5, 000 William hours, and I've been using it all day, doing a bunch of speed tests playing some games been on social media, taking a bunch of pictures and still perfect battery left here.
So you're not going to have any problems with this battery definitely a full day battery, even if you're, a heavy user I'd say if you're a moderate user, you may even get a day and a quarter or so it's perfect. So the full two weeks that I've been using it absolutely solid battery life on this. So I would not worry about it. So, thanks for spending the day with me here in Tampa Florida, I had a great time and let me know what you think about the Samsung Galaxy s21 ultra, if you've used it or not, or what you think about it in general, make sure you check out T-Mobile's 5g. Let me know if you have 5g coverage in your area and I will see you in the next one.
