Welcome to the Samsung Galaxy s20 fan edition versus the iPhone 12 comparison. Today, we are going to check out the regular iPhone 12 against a galaxy s20 Fe, those of you watching for the first time please subscribe and if you guys find this video good enough do hit the like button too. As always, we will first get the specs out of the way the price of both devices is also on your screen. Let's start the comparison with the design and the world. First, iPhone 12, just like the iPhone 12 Pro, is an extremely premium device built out of glass. Unlike the iPhone 12 Pro, the iPhone 12 has a shiny finish at the back, and it's got only two cameras.
The size of the iPhone 12 is, however, identical to that of the iPhone 12 Pro. It's also got the same big power button on the right side of the frame, sim card slot volume, rocker and the silent slider on the left side and a couple of speaker grills, along with the lightning USB port at the bottom. The frame has an ultra premium finish. The front of the iPhone 12 is also protected by a ceramic shield, while its back is protected by gorilla glass. This phone further has ip68 waiting for water and dust resistance.
Also, the iPhone 12 has wireless charging. On the other hand, there's 20 fan editions is built out of plastic. It's got a matte finish at the back and like the iPhone 12 and like the iPhone felt. This phone also comes in a handful of very good-looking colors, but what matters is the build quality and on the x20 Fe it is quite cheap. It has the aluminum frame and its camera cutout also looks good, as 20 Fe is slightly heavier than the iPhone 12.
It's got a massive battery inside power. Button of the s20 Fe is also on the right side, along with the volume keys, its speaker grill and the USB type c port is at the bottom, along with the primary mic sim card slot of this phone is at the top, as 20 Fe is also protected by the ip68 certification. This phone has the gorilla glass 3 on the front. S20 Fe has the wireless charging support too, and it's also got the reverse wireless charging, which is also known as a wireless power share. Now the iPhone 12 doesn't include a charger in the box, it supports charging up to 20 watt, and you have to buy the charger separately.
The s20 Fe brings a 15 watt charger in the box, and it supports uh the fast charging up to 25 watt. Otherwise, the displays on both phones differ a lot. The front of the iPhone 12 is old school. It has that old, ugly and a big notch on the front, but its bezels and chain are extremely thin. iPhone 12 rocks are 6.1 inch, OLED, MTR, dual BB and supported display, and its brightness goes up to 1200 nits at peak. The resolution of the iPhone 12 is slightly higher than the s20 Fe.
On the other hand, the h20 Fe has a 6.5 inches modern, looking punch hole display with the tiniest punch hole ever. It has slightly notable bezels and bottom chain profile, but I think that is okay. The brightness of the x20 Fe is not as high as the iPhone 12. The screen has a full HD resolution. It supports the hdr10 too and yeah that's 20 fees display brings the 120 hertz adaptive refresh rate, and that alone makes the biggest difference, and let's not forget that under display fingerprint scanner of the s20 Fe, the iPhone 12 only relies on the face I'd unlock, but on the s20 Fe you have an optical reader under the screen.
Looking at these displays closely will further show you that the overall colors clarity and the look is slightly better on the iPhone 12. Iphone's colors are vibrant, as 20fps colors seem a bit dull in comparison to the iPhone 12, but the viewing experience is better on the s20 Fe because of its huge, uninterrupted display. Both phones have a stereo speaker with one speaker mounted on the top of the display. I found the iPhone 12 speakers on the better side, while testing it on the software and the iPhone 12 runs on the iOS 14 out of the box. Io's 14 has a lot of cool features, as I told you guys in my previous video.
It actually has all the good features that we had on android about a decade ago, but it is still better late than never. That's.20 Fe runs on android 10 themed by the one UI 2.5 out of the box, and this one brings all of Samsung's flagship features from the s20 lineup. It has the decks. The music shares. The screen recorder and many other good features.
Hardware definitely makes a big difference on both the phones uh. On the iPhone 12. We have the a14 5 nanometer bionic chipsets, along with the ram of four gigs. I got the iPhone 12 with 1 to 8 gigs internal storage. The galaxy s20 Fe is powered by Enos, 997, nanometer plus chipset, and it's got a ram of 8 gigs, and it also has the internal storage of 1 to eight gigs.
I did run that into benchmark on both the phones. As you might have guessed, the iPhone 12 is way ahead of the s20 Fe. That's 20 fees, Enos 990 is just not any match for the a14 bionic chipset right now, but it's still a flagship, great chipset, and we might see a better chipset on its successor next year. I also ran the key pen stress and the scores are on your screen. Gaming is quite impressive on both the phones.
It's actually very good on both sides. Both phones can play the games in extremely high graphics and frame rates. I actually did a battery rain test between these phones and in that test the iPhone 12 came to an end in six hours and 21 minutes and the galaxy s20 Fe died in six hours and 34 minutes to charge up to 100 the iPhone 12 28 15 MH battery took over one hour and 55 minutes to hit a hundred percent with a 20 watt charger as 20 fees, huge 4500 my battery took 1 hour and 30 minutes to hit 100 with a 25 watt charger in the camera department. The iPhone 12 has two cameras at the back with a main camera of 12 megapixels and a 12 megapixels ultrawide camera. It's got a 12 megapixel camera on the front too, as 20 Fe has a main 12 megapixel camera 8, megapixels telephoto lens and a 12 megapixel ultrawide camera.
It's got a 32 megapixel camera on the front. Further details of these cameras are on your screen. Camera apps of both the phones have their own special features. The iPhone 12 can go up to 4k at 60 frames per second from both front and rear cameras, and it can do 60 fps in the ultrawide mode too. iPhone's night mode is also quite decent, but the absence of a telephoto lens skills, you're zooming capability, s20 Fe, can also do 4k at 60fps from both front and rear cameras, but it cannot do 60 fps in the ultrawide mode, s20 fees.
Camera has a pro video mode with custom, video resolution and a custom mic selection feature. It's also got raw format and many other good features such as a 30x room because of its telephoto lens, and these features definitely outnumber the iPhone 12's goodies. I have not done a full camera comparison between these phones. I had the iPhone 12 12 pro and the s20 Fe a few days back, and I took the same images on all the phones at the same place, so I am going to show you some samples, since this is not a full comparison uh. Furthermore, I am not going to conclude the cameras here.
However, I did find there are 20 fees, images on the upper side, with higher saturation, more details, a better looking sky and a wider ultra-wide lens too. The selfies look more natural and better on the iPhone 12. Do let me know about your thoughts on these photos in the comments below its time to move on to the speed test. Now I have shut down all the applications on both the phones and, first, I am going to power these devices down I'll boot them up for the boot test, and here we go. The iPhone 12 wins the boot test, as I already showed you for and to do, the iPhone 12 is just way ahead.
There is a gap of two generations between these chipsets and the score is self-explanatory. Let's go ahead with the application speed test. We will start it off with the phone app first phone iPhone.12 messages has 20 Fe settings. It's a tie, camera iPhone, 12 Facebook, s20, Fe, Instagram, s20, Fe, Twitter, s20fe, chrome, iPhone, 12 loaded, a web page faster SoundCloud. It's the iPhone, 12 YouTube.
Furthermore, it's the s20fe snap seed iPhone 12 exported a picture faster, 10 stars, s20, Fe, subway, surfers it's the iPhone 12. Asphalt, 9 s20 fee, PUBG mobile, it's the iPhone 12 again word mobile, and it's the s20 Fe. All the apps are still there in the memory. Let's reload them one by one. Both phones seem to be doing good.
So far, the iPhone 12 reloaded, the PUBG mobile only rest of the applications had a same behavior on both the phones. It was such a close call between these phones for the sweet test. The iPhone 12 performed eight tasks faster and its ram management was behind the s20. Fe x20 Fe, on the other hand, performed eight tasks faster too, but with slightly better ram management. So, with the help of just one extra point, there's 20 few ins this speed test, and now our comparison comes to an end.
Let's be clear about a few things. First, iPhone 12 is a huge upgrade over the iPhone, 10 or the iPhone 11. This year around, the iPhone 12 actually goes neck and neck with its uh high-end brother, the iPhone 5 pro so within the league of the iPhones. This is one impressive device, but it still doesn't really match the caliber of the android devices such as s20 Fe, s20 Fe, might have the Enos 990, but it definitely tried its best to put a really tough fight against the iPhone 12's. Five nanometers a14 bionic chipset, but obviously the a14 bionic chipset is generations ahead.
So it's definitely going to give the Enos 990 a big beating, s20, FES cameras. Look great and s20 FES battery with that 120 hertz, refresh rate on the screen has a better screen on time. So if you're, an android user and considering switching to the iPhone 12 for cameras and performance, it's not going to be a wise choice. iPhone 12 should only make sense if the premiums of build is what matters the most to you. But if that's not the case, that's 20 Fe is going to be a better overall pick for you.
