What suffers about it. This is architect, preacher, so I, probably the only one on the internet. That's making videos about the Galaxy, Note, 9, and I've been doing so many follow-up videos with this phone. A lot of you guys been asking me a lot of questions and in the comments down below I've, been reading. You guys questions and I got some answers for you. So I updated my Galaxy Note 9 to the latest firmware which is android 10.0 with one UI 2.1. A lot of you guys was exited questions of.
Are you getting in the overheating or any display issues, and I'm gonna? Tell you being real with you updated this phone to Android 10 with one two I, two dot one. We got some issues. Let me go ahead and explain in this video sit back and relax and get your popcorn ready and follow me on this journey. Let's go what's up guys. This is Eric back with another video.
So a lot of you guys be requesting some answers with the Galaxy Note. Now don't get me wrong. The Galaxy Note 9 is a fan favorite a lot of you guys that held onto your Galaxy Note knives, because the Galaxy Note tend to wear some stuff like the headphone jack, and a lot of you guys feel that the Galaxy Note 9 was a device that you can keep until maybe the Galaxy Note 20. So a lot of you guys received a lot of updates of the Galaxy Note 9 and you all started getting some having some issues with the Galaxy Note 9. Now, since I've updated this device to 1, you are 2001 I've been incurring some issues, I've been having some battery drain issues also for some heating issues.
A lot of you guys been asking me about that. Yes, I am witnessing that too. So I got two Galaxy Note knives. I got my original Galaxy Note nine right here, that's running Android, eight job one was selling experience 9.5 on this device right here and on this device. I have one July 2000, so I want to show you guys some things here that I'm experiencing here, and also I will run some benchmark tests.
So we can see the difference between both of these devices all right. So let's do this first thing. I want to do is I want to close out all apps here and let's go to CPU temp now, CPU tip is a temperature app that I used to see the internal temperature of the device. Now you can use whatever internal temperature out that you like, but I've, been witnessing temperatures above the hundred degree Fahrenheit with this phone I noticed that this phone gets hot and, as you can see, this is the original Galaxy Note, as you can see, 87 degrees Fahrenheit, but look at the fluctuation here. What the galaxy don't know.
That's one UI 2.1! This is extremely hot. This is some fluctuation. That's going on now. Also, I want to put this a disclaimer out there. Both of these devices is basically clones.
So all the apps on this phone is the same absence on this phone. So I don't have any kind of roll capsule whenever aunty the device, but I've been an experience to that. So will you look at something like this? You want to know. What's going on? One thing that I can show you that the device that has 2 1 UI 2.1 is running so much extra stuff. In the background, my ram usage is up almost to 3 gigabytes right now of what the Galaxy Note 9 with the one you are 2.1 first, is the original Galaxy Note 9 that's running Samsung experienced 9.5, as you can see right here, I'm only running one point: eight gigabit one point: eight gigs of ram usage. So now what 1u I 2.1, what June updates I haven't? Got you live update, but I got June update it's running into some bad heating issues and I noticed that when I was using this device that it stayed pretty much warm throughout my experience and this phone right now is hot to the touch and that's weird, your RAM usage is more. The phone is hot I'm, getting very poor battery life.
Out of the Galaxy Note, 9 as I'll be recording this video, so I don't know. What's going on with Samsung right now, what they're, trying to update the Galaxy, Note 9 I mean I'm, not sure whether they are going to update it to did you lie update that will fix these issues? This is why I'm going to keep making these videos because, you guys keep requested videos about the Galaxy, Note 9 and all these issues I've been reading. You guys comments you all guys been having issue after issue of the Galaxy Note mind that you all guys is upset about I. Don't know it sounds fun just trying to pull a fast one, so you can update, but I'm on the case. I read you guys comments.
I really do appreciate that look. The Galaxy Note 9 is one of my favorite folks. I recommend this phone to a lot of people. So it's hard for me to continue recommending this device if you're gonna continuously update it and you having these issues but as far as performance I'm not having two performance issues per se, but I am having a battery drain, and I'm not having discoloration I showed it on a disk tests here that I'm not having discoloration problems or anything like that. So when it comes down to it, I don't have discoloration problems.
Everything is all good I want the Galaxy Note 9. So let me go it on the run benchmark test here between the one that haven't been updated to the newer one, and this going on the see what the test is all about all right, so the benchmark test is completed, and I want to show you guys this doesn't rigidly Galaxy Note: that's running Android 8.1! What Samsung experienced not about five has a higher benchmark test than the newer one, and so we run in 511 on single core score 2176 or multi-core score on the original Galaxy Note 9, and on the Galaxy Note 9, with one UI 2.1. The scores have dropped to 481 single core score in 1622 on multi-core score. So will you look at that? The multi-core score has dropped tremendously since the original Galaxy Note. So by this, let's go to look at the temperature here: okay, so looking at the temperature.
Now that we are the original Galaxy, No creeped up just a little to 95 degrees Fahrenheit, but the newel Galaxy Note with the new lemur world and new software is popped at about 125 degrees Fahrenheit. Now it's kind of cooling yourself down to about 109 degrees Fahrenheit. So it's definitely something's going on with the Galaxy Note 9. As far as heat battery and some people have it bad screen issues with the Galaxy Note 9 I'm going to continue to make these videos and test Samsung get it right, and let me go it on to see if it's a software update right now, while I'm doing this video to see if I would get you lie. Software updated, let's see what it's all about.
If I got a software update in the middle of me doing this, video I will go it on in and pop the software updating in my thoughts about it, but no I got June 1st 2020 software update one UI two dot one here with this device, so I mean it is what it is. I want to show you guys this here right there, one UI, 2.1, android 10 on the Galaxy Note 9. So what are the pain points about having devices for this loan when you are getting the software updates? Something is going on what the Galaxy Note 9 and all these new software updates hopefully sounds, so we're here. I'll call and fix these issues with the Galaxy Note 9 look. This is one of my favorite phones.
A lot of people buy the Galaxy Note, not because it's their favorite phone they've passed up on the Galaxy Note 10 to get to Galaxy Note nah just to keep they phone hey phone J. Now you have menu mode back in the cameras and everything in between. But now since we got one due 2.1, it is hindering this device. I was continuing to give you coverage of the Galaxy Note 9 in all its glory, even though this device about to reach 2 years old, but at the end of the day to your device, does get all your software updates. It's a pain point to some people.
This is Eric aka, the tech preacher from easy computer solutions. Leave your comments down below. Let me know what you think about this Galaxy Note 9 debacle, and it's getting bad. Every update is getting worse and look. It is the temperature is getting very high, see you guys on the next video peace.
