Galaxy A72: Forgot Password? Can't Turn Off Phone to Factory Reset? FIXED!

I have a Samsung Galaxy a72, and you basically forgot your password, and you want to do a factory reset to do the factory reset. You actually have to turn off your phone first. However, when you go ahead and try to turn off your phone I'll power off hey, it's asking me for a password that I don't know, so I'll. Show you how to um bypass this. So the first thing is: you need to go and grab a computer or a laptop okay and make sure it's plugged in now. The thing is the a72.

You know the charging cable is an USB to USB and I don't have the USB, basically a thunderbolt 3 connectors in any of my laptops or computers, so I have to use a standard USB a to an USB okay. So let me go ahead and plug this. In now, I'm going to go ahead and plug it into my phone here. Okay, now, first thing, I'm going to do is um. What I'm going to do is I'm going to press and hold two buttons: the volume down and power, I'm going to press and hold both buttons.

I'm going to count to 10 as soon as 10 seconds is up, I'm going to let go of only the volume down and press and hold the volume up. My finger never comes off the power button and then continue to hold uh power button and volume up until we are actually in the android recovery system. Okay, so we're gonna, um and just FYI guys, don't forget with the factory reset you're going to be losing everything on the phone once the factory reset is complete, it'll, pretty much be as if you just bought this brand new and took it out of the box. Okay! So we're going to do this together. Okay, so you can see again, let me bring up the power off menu, so I try to turn it off, and it's asking me for a password that I don't know.

Okay, so now we're gonna, do it together? Okay, so it's plugged in it's charging volume down power, ready one, two three press and hold count to ten: three: four: five: six: seven, eight, nine ten! Let go the volume down and press and hold the volume up. My finger never came off the power button, so now I'm holding the volume up and power button, and I'm just waiting for um to get into the android recovery system. Then I can let go okay, so I'm still holding on both buttons here, voil? we're in there now. This may take you like a few times if it doesn't work on 10, try nine seconds, try 11 seconds okay anyway, so from here factory data reset you just you can move up and down using the volume rockers here you just want to go: go down to white data, slash factory reset to select it! You tap on the power button right here and then this right here, basically saying once you do this, this cannot be undone. So hopefully you have no important information on here.

If you want to proceed with the factory reset, you want to go ahead and highlight factory data reset tap on the power button and give it or give it one or two minutes when the factory reset is complete, your phone will boot back up, and you'll, be on the beginning setup process, where you have to choose your language and all that other good stuff, all right. So pretty simple! So for me, I'm not going to factory reset this phone, I'm just going to go back up to cancel and this reboot system. Now, that's fine! I'm just going to go ahead and just reboot it regularly. Now let me know how many times it took you guys to get into the android recovery system. Okay, good luck!.
