Case-Mate TOUGH FLIP Case for Samsung Z Flip Unboxing and Review By Big Unbox

What is up guys welcome to the big on box, we'll redo, that small take, and today I am back with another big on boxing for you for the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip, and today we're back with a case from case-mate. This is gonna, be the toughest case series to unbox do a quick review as always I'll, throw up the link in the video description. If you guys want to check it out pricing on this one, it's going to be thirty. Nine bucks, really, let's be honest, there's not too many cases on the market. Right now for your Z flip, you got the official one with the official other one which I did a review on it's, and it's really nice, but I'm like it's not worth that price point. It's not worth eighty bucks at all, and it's not giving any much protection, and then you got the case made that was just released as well, so shout out to them for getting a case out there quickly.

You got a couple cases lined up coming. You got the speaking one, and I think it's like a thin series case, and then you got Letterbox coming up, but right now this is going to be the second case, that's really from a big boy company to actually get on the market. So let's go and check out the presentation. Really nice tough case ten-foot draw protection which is pretty much key, because obviously this is such an expensive little device for the Z flip and then that's pretty much it. The back is gonna.

Tell you the more details about the design, one-piece, seamless design, so I'm gonna kind of compare it to this one as well, because this is actually saying it's a two-part case. Let's go, or this one is a two-part case. So let's go and check it out really nicely done. Presentation case-mate does make it usually a decent case. I've had some bad luck with them in some cases, but a lot of times they'll make up decent case.

Let's go and check this out, see what we get here. Tough case ten-foot draw protection and blah blah blah all that good stuff. So this is definitely gonna, be a little different. Look at this, so you can see the design is gonna, be it is gonna, be one piece, and you can kind of see this piece of plastic material holding it together. So this is different from the official one, and I'll show you guys the difference between the official one real quick here.

This is give me the official leather one. It does have this, like sticky material on the back of it, to keep stuck to your phone I. Don't think that that would leave any residue. It has it at this point, but that is like a sticky material. So it is a two part case, and this is what you're getting for the official leather ones nicely a nice case, but again just not worth that price point.

So this is gonna, be completely different, where it's going to be a one-part case and you kind of got that holding the hinge together and that might give you some more protection for the hinge, and I was Lester. I was a little worried about this one. It's giving you no protection around the hinge area. So that might hit that mark what I'm looking for. So you can see the little case, maybe branding on the backlight nicely done.

It's got a matte soft matte, finish harsh all plastic transitions to the actual bumper part, which is kind of the same material, not much grip which yeah it is what it is. It's just really one part one a piece case: that's got the same material. They could add a little more ridges on the sides. To give you a little more extra grip got some case-mate branding right there. You can see around the camera protection or the front facing camera and then on the interior really is gonna, be the same material as well.

So it's a one part case which I actually think they did a nice job with that, but we'll check it out to see how it looks around the actual flip area as well. The first thing I got to do is wipe this bad boy down, wipe it down, wipe it down, make it look beautiful, because this thing is an absolute fingerprint magnet. So anybody got that OCD. This one is gonna, be not for you, but maybe you want to stick a case on and keep one of these microfiber cloths around to wipe it down, wipe it down beautiful. Looking phone, though look at this thing got it I'm not going to lie.

This is a beautiful looking device. Let me give a frontal wipe down as well fingerprint magnet guys, definitely all right. So, let's pop it into place like this see how this looks I'm kind of curious, how this is going to look. It feels like it's a lets pop like this. There we go yeah I care, so how this is going to get hmm there you go all right there.

You go. Let's check this out, so you can see the actual fold part is covered. So I appreciate that you got a little area around the hinges, that's exposed, but keep that in mind where the other leather one was completely exposed. So I appreciate that I'm yeah, at least if I drop it. This part right here is covered up, and now it's a soft material and I made.

You know break through, but I appreciate that at least you got this little part exposed, not the entire thing. So you can see it doesn't add too much more bulk very nicely done. It's got this soft matte finish. It seems to avoid fingerprints, give you guys some different angles of this one. So that's how it's gonna look on there.

It's definitely not as sleek as the leather one, but definitely you're getting some more protection and to me I, don't see when I'm spending this type of cash on that's my own money, I! Think that it's its tough for me too raw dog, a phone like this or even keep this leather case on just because of the full parts exposed and that entire part that glass parts exposed. If you drop it, your pretty much ass out on that now, you're getting some nice protection right there for the camera or front facing camera. Look at that nicely done! You can see right there. You get that little, that little design right there, you're gonna, give you a little extra protection on that bump on the front facing camera area. Let's check it out fold it like this now this isn't you know that might be annoying.

Let's check that out. So it pops like this. Let's check this, so that might be annoying I. Don't know if I got that on that yeah I guess it has to be like that for the ridge, see that part popping out like that or if there's a way too high I, don't think so. I don't think that tucks away! No it does it just kind of see pops out like that.

Now, I! Guess that's one of those things you know if you used to It's that might be annoying. That might be a little annoying. What do you guys think about that? I guess it's its! The material itself is cloth plastic, it's soft, so it doesn't really bother too much, but my every time you're just using the phone. If you get your hand caught on that again, the trade-off. Are you either leave that exposed you pop that I like this, and you got that material? So that's good! That's good! Be something I'm too used to you.

Let's check out the lip because, everybody likes a fat lip and that's definitely got a better lip protection. You can see you got edges actually protection where the around the board of the screen itself, and then you got that lip protection around the screen as well, so I like what they did there with that lip protection. That's definitely going to give you some more superior protection, then the official one and plus just overall I think it's a better fitting case in terms of overall protection. If you did drop this, this one's going to give you a lot more protection than the other one. It's going to add some more bulk as well, so it's going to make a little more thick when you put this in your pocket, but I think the trade-off is that you're actually getting some more protection, so I like that check it out here again, not a lot of grip.

You get a little case-mate branding, speaker grille and get that in this place. Babe, it's a tiny speaker, girl, you're, not getting too much there at all. You get that front or that right there, and then you have to, cut out for the power fingerprint sensor. Let's shake this out now. What that I, it's a little tough for me, too.

I! Don't really like that as much because you can see that cutout right there it's this right here is but kind of protruding. So it's kind of tough! You have to get your finger to write the angle to get the fingerprint sensor so which they have made that a little, maybe they could have made it a little deeper make it a little more flush to your finger because you kind of have to put it at an angle. I, don't think it's! Let's check this out. Let's turn it on there. It goes.

Let's try one more time there. It goes okay, so it's just going to take a little while you used to with that fingerprint sensor. I think they'd cut out with just a little off. There I think they would if they had brought it in just a little and maybe cut a little shorter right there, but then the volume up and down fine perfect. So this is a tough guy and I.

Don't I, yeah I think this will be okay. I think this might be able trade-off that I'm after you used to, because you got that part covered up so overall we're going to say this is a mini hit and that's the reason I'm saying it's: a mini hit, not a big hit just because a couple air is the fingerprint sensor, and I'm just not sure about this right here, if you guys, if I thought messed that up on the installation where this is. Why, for the took this in, if you guys have this case, let me know, but I just don't see how they took that and I. Just think kind of sticks out a little and maybe something you just got a used to and- and that may be, the case is not really hard material. It just may be something that might be annoying to some people, including myself.

That's got that OCD when it pops through you're, like man. That's kind of annoying I wish for something more soft and flush, but overall I have to say this is a mini hit. This is gonna, be kind of an upgrade for your flip and some overall protection. It's definitely not gonna, be as sleek as the leather one. No, but this leather one's really not giving you much protection at all and if that's what you're looking for go with the leather one, this is, if you just want, looks alone, you need some basic scratch protection, and you don't care about price point.

Go with the leather one, but if you need more protection, you're worried about this thing, because you spend your hard-earned cash. You may want to check out this one, because this one may provide you a little I can tell you is gonna, provide you a better drop protection if you drop it on the concrete or something like that at least you're kind of even your phone, a chance to survive.
