Battery Fill Up Test for the Pixel 3 & Pixel 3 XL - Wired vs Wireless By phonejerome

This year's pixel, 3 and pixel 3 Excel both support wireless charging, a nice option to have when you don't want to be fumbling with cords to charge up. But how long does it take to get both of these phones charged from 0 to 100% wirelessly? And how much longer does it take when compared to just charging it with a cable? Just so we have the formalities out of the way both of my pixels were completely drained of its battery until it died and then docked on Google's pixel stand its wireless charger until it hit a hundred percent, and then I repeated these steps plugged in using the stock, cable and charging brick until it hit a hundred percent. The pixel 3 carries a 29 15 William hour battery the pixel 3 Excel 34 30 William hours about 17 percent, more battery capacity than the pixel 3 in the first 15 minutes of wireless charging, the pixel 3 and pixel 3 Excel hits 17 and 15 percent respectively, when wired, 25 and 24 percent after half an hour, wirelessly 30 percent for both the pixel 3 and pixel 3 Excel and then 49 and 47 percent wired, so about half way charged and now bigger jumped in its wireless counterpart and in an hour's time. You see the biggest difference. Wirelessly the 3 and 3 Excel are a little more than halfway charged at 56 and 59 percent, but when plugged in 83 and 82 percent about 40 percent faster at this time frame at an hour and a half the pixel 3 at 83 pixel 3 Excel 86 wirelessly, the pixel 396 pixel 3 Excel 97 wired notice that the pixel 3 Excel now leads in all charging instances. Both the pixel 3 and pixel 3 Excel finished charging wirelessly at around the two-hour mark and wired. But, let's be honest when I say more convenient, that's the difference between plugging cable in and just dropping it in a charger firstworldproblems. Unfortunately, the pixels stand prices in at a hefty $79 in the US and I know it does more than just charge the phone, but it's still expensive, considering the fact that you can get a 10 watt QI charger for about twenty dollars. But I read recently that third-party Wireless QI chargers are only limited to five watts of charging versus the pixel stands. Ten, regardless of the QI charger can charge at ten watts.

A Google spokesperson issued a statement and gadget saying we don't limit third-party devices, we're working with our partners in the made for Google program to get fast, 10 watt chargers certified for use everything else, charges at the industry standard, QI, 5 Watts. So if it's not certified by Google, you will be charging a lot slower, wirelessly aka, their out of luck.
