Apple’s New MagSafe Battery Pack Unlocks SECRET iPhone 12 Feature!

This video is sponsored by own. Yesterday, apple just quietly dropped a new MagSafe battery pack that will retail for 99 and at first I was kind of like not that interested. But then, when I started to look into everything, you'll find that this battery pack actually unlocks a secret feature with the iPhone 12 that not a lot of people are talking about. But before I get into everything, if you end up liking this video hit that like button, it would mean a lot to me and also consider subscribing. If that's your thing or if you hate me and everything that I do, then I suppose there's a button for that too. But I will know if you hit that one trust me I'll know: anyways this mac, safe battery pack unlocks a secret, iPhone 12 feature: reverse wireless charging and if you're wondering how or why well I'll, tell you when the battery pack is attached to an iPhone, that's charging via lightning.

The iPhone can actually deliver power to that MagSafe battery pack, which is the first instance of any kind of iPhone being able to route power to an accessory device. Now, we've actually heard a lot of rumors of reverse wireless charging capabilities for an iPhone in the future and a feature that's been talked about as a possibility for both the iPhone 11 and iPhone 12, which technically didn't happen until at least right now, Apple hasn't actually implemented any reverse wireless charging again until right now and the way that it works with the max safe battery pack is limited in scope. But it leads me to believe that this will open up here very soon, possibly with the next generation iPhone. Who knows now if you're wondering why anyone should care, why? I should care about reverse wireless charging? Well, it's actually a pretty convenient feature when you really take a look at it and there are other smartphone owners out there, who've been using it for a few years, I'm looking at you Samsung people. If you have one of the latest galaxy devices, you can actually charge any other QI enabled device for a quick top off.

So if you're an iPhone owner- and you happen to get this feature, and you're out and about- and you really want to listen to some music on your AirPods in AirPods Pro, but oh no, you get that dreaded low battery sound, there are no outlets around for miles. Don't worry! Just flip your phone over and place your AirPods on the back of your device and boom quick charge, more tunes life's good. So if you like the idea of that, then this battery pack actually brings us some very good news, and it also brings iPhone 12 users, some more battery life too. In case you were wondering what else the battery pack can do. Well, it charges your iPhone 12 via MagSafe, so you just slap it on the back there, and you let it do its thing now, based on images of the MagSafe battery pack, the accessory has an 11.13 watt hour battery, which will offer a partial charge for Apple's iPhone, 12 lineups now for comparison. The iPhone 12 has a 10.78 watt hour battery, but cheat charging is inefficient, so it has some power loss, so it's most likely not going to be a full charge for your phone. Now, while you're on the go, the MagSafe battery pack can charge an iPhone at 5 watts, which is not great.

It's slow and plugged in it can charge at up to 15 watts, so yeah, a portable power bank that can give your phone some extra juice most likely not being able to charge your phone from zero to a hundred. But that's not really the point of this anyways. It charges slowly, and you wouldn't want it to take forever, and you wouldn't want to wait for that. This is more just in case. Something goes wrong and you have no more.

You know battery life, and you really need a quick top off. Then you can do that with this conveniently without any cables. But of course, I'd love to know your thoughts on everything that we just talked about be sure to subscribe to the channel. So you don't miss our hands-on video when we do get our unit in and yeah.
