5 AR Games For iPad Pro 2020 & iPhone 12 Pro with LiDAR Scanner

The new iPhone, 12 pro and iPad Pro 4th gen support the LIDAR scanner, the LIDAR scanner measures how long it takes light to reflect back from objects, so it can create a depth map of any space. You're in this works wonders for AR games. As now, more than ever, you can transform your own space into a virtual playground. Today, I'm going to show you five games that utilize this new technology. First, we have hot lava, a 3d precision platformer on Apple Arcade. In September it added a new arm ode exclusive to LIDAR, supported devices.

When you launch the mode, it asks you to insert game objects to create your own obstacle course: bring out lava bosses traps, trampolines blocks, tables, chairs and much more than bring in a little character and use a virtual joystick to move him around your obstacle course. As you play, you must reach all the checkpoints which will give you experience to level up. Apart from that, there is no objective here. Just make up your own fun. Out of all the games, I've played with LIDAR support.

This one works the best in terms of tracking and environmental recognition, just make sure you play it in an open and well lit environment. Otherwise, it can be a little awkward that applies to all the games on this list too. Next is RC club AR motorsports. In this free game, you can control a little RC vehicle and drive around your location and insert objects for cool stunts. To play.

You just select a car and driving style, aim the device on a surface and place the virtual vehicle and then go. I took my iPad Pro into the Australian bush, and it was cool to see the car going down steps and along a dirt path or at a bike track going up and down the hills. This game also supports haptic vibration on iPhone, which is incredibly immersive, as you can literally feel all the bumps from the real world. That's different. Sometimes the environment recognition doesn't work, and the car disappears into the ground, but it's very easy to reset the vehicle and get it back to driving right now.

The game only features two modes sandbox and time trial. However, the developer will be adding more modes such as battle, drifting, race, drill and stunts. Here we have epic, marble run another free game. All you have to do here is roll marbles into an end goal. To do this, it's super simple, tap to place the starting position tap to place.

The end goal, use two fingers to rotate the ball and then tap go to see. If the ball reach the end goal, your run can also go onto a leaderboard. I love how, as the ball rolls it analyzed the environment below my only problem with this game is that there is not much to do if the developer is watching, perhaps add some more modes. Maybe add some colors for the balls, the ability to add objects would be cool, a local multiplayer mode. You could also add sound effects for the ball, rolling and collisions and so forth.

Table trenches transform your table into a battlefield to play, scan your table to put the map into the world, then battle against someone in local multiplayer, or you can battle against the AI. You can use 12 units and four different commanders all which come with their own units. In October, it was updated with LIDAR support which brings environmental occlusion for this game. You have to enable it, however, from the settings page enabling occlusion means the units will have to move around real objects. For example, I put this candle thing in the middle and the units had to go around it, and you can move behind an obstacle like a wall and units and trees will be hidden instead of clipping through.

If that makes sense, the game costs 1.99 us dour final game on the list is playground AR physics sandbox. Here we have an AR sandbox game, you can place downloads of objects around you from blocks, tanks, trucks, planes, weapons traps goals, and it goes on and on with LIDAR support. The game adds significantly improved physics, for example, you can stack blocks on top of each other, see dominoes fall drive. Cars into things and real-life objects can affect virtual objects. For example, I picked up a teapot and knocked over blocks with it cool mind you.

Sometimes it can be a little inaccurate. The developer recently said this about the update being able to interact with the environment right away, no need to scan surfaces as it's being updated. Every second blows my mind every time. It's a whole new level of AR immersion playground AR physics, sandbox costs 2.99 USD on the app store here are two bonus games, but I'm not sure if they're actually games. So that's why they're in bonus in AR armor? If that's how you say it, players can build a surreal AR space or capture a mysterious, composite video with only your own device AR throwing simulator lets you throw cash cats, shoot fireworks and doors and more.

What is your favorite AR game? Do you actually play AR games? Do you have a device with a LIDAR scanner? Let me know in the comments this was a fun video to make, as I got to see all the advanced camera technology, and I was able to go outside my office to the park and make a fool of myself, leaving a like, will greatly support the video's performance and subscribe and turn on notifications to stay up to date with everything apple gaming related. My name is Stevie, and thanks for watching.
