Stop the photo it's finally, here the 2020 TCL six series mini led launch, and it's immediately available for sale. I linked it below just in case. You want to rush in there and get it because availability unfortunately, is again limited. You have 55 inches, 65 inch 75 inches and the prices are pretty much the same as last year. That's incredible! But before we jump into all the specs, I want to boom push out this product, video that TCL put together. Just for you guys, okay, awesome, let's jump into the details, separating picture quality gaming features and value picture quality.
The basics HDR mini, led 75 inches is about 250 zones and, most importantly, I think it's going to be over a thousand. It's just like last year, didn't show the actual peak brightness, but if its mini led technology from the 8 series, which I'm being told it is you're going to get peak brightness that's easily over a thousand nits, most importantly 120 hertz panel, yes native 120 hertz panel. We knew that was hinted at the thanks announcement, but confirmed and most importantly var. Now there is no HDMI 2.1. Keep that in mind, although the var is available on all four HDMI 2.0 ports, not 2.1, that means you will not get 4k 120 gaming. However, it does go up to 1440p at 120 hertz with HDR, and the var is of course I believe, 48 to 120.
So you get VR support all the way through and HDR with var. Now, what's the importance of thanks mode thanks maintains that picture quality so that when you maximize latency performance, meaning you want to load the input lag unlike Samsung, which lowers the input lag so much, but at what cost washed out blacks lifted, blacks up colors are just off right because they've disabled all the good picture, quality that made its image quality so good in movie mode. When you go to game modes like what happened right, but their input lag is record-breaking. So what thanks did to help TCL was maintained picture quality, while lowering input lag as much as they could disabling what they needed to, but they needed to maintain color quality, HDR performance. Have that balance- and I think that's commendable- that they reached out to thanks to do that to tune their game mode for them now, we'll see once I get the tcl6 series in the house, I'm going to compare it head-to-head with the other entry-level gaming TV that I believe is going to be awesome, which is the Vizio OLED.
So we're going to have the 55-inch visual OLED against a 55-inch TCL 6-series mini led. What does a budget bring you and let's talk about budget 55, inches 650 dollars? My mind is blowing because now you finally have a true HDR gaming TV at under 700. At the 55-inch size or at that price range. Really all you have out. There is the NATO 85 which we know is its just too dim.
Yes, you get 4k 60 gaming, but the HDR just that's the most important part about next generation gaming, and it's just not there on the NATO 85, but on this TCL six series mini led thanks was brought in to make sure that HDR explosion that pop right that immersion from the dynamic range is maintained so have the 55-inch size for 650. It appears that this may be your choice. No, there is no free sync support. I should have mentioned that from the get go. They don't plan to have facing support, because again, at this budget, they're trying to give you what they can for as low of a budget, just what we call the viable the minimum viable product right.
What is the minimum viable gaming TV at this price point? You need var, you need 120 hertz, and you need good HDR, which this has what it doesn't have: no 2.1, which means no 4k 120 HDR, although 1440p is supported at 120 hertz and no free sync, no g-sync and none planned. Okay, that's the bad news. I want to hit the good news, which is the 75-inch size. Many of you asked me: you want a game on a large screen TV. What is the budget gaming TV for 75 inches right now, there's only three in that budget price range.
We start with tcl6 series at fourteen hundred dollars. I believe yep. Fourteen hundred dollars, ccl6 series, 240 zones of controlling the mini, led that's more than what you get on the 65 inch. I don't know exactly how many zones are in the 65 inch yet, but the 75 inch will have 20 40 zones and, of course, var 120 hertz panel up to 1440p at 120 gaming and HDR. Now what are your other choices at this price range meeting at the budget? You only have the x 900h from Sony and the Vizio p series 75 inch what the Sony brings to the tables 4k 120 and what Vizio brings to the table is in addition to that they're going to have free sync updated in their firmware.
It's not available now, I believe, but in a future firmware update. Vizio has promised free sync support. So if you need free sync at a budget price range, really the only choice is either the p series or the p series x. Then it's Sony, but it doesn't have freezing support, but it does have 4k 120. But if you don't need 4k 120, but you want 75 inches, you want var, and you want the HDR impact.
Then this TCL 6 series 75 inch is for you and I think at 1400. This is going to be a great, all-purpose TV. It's not a gaming specialist if you're a hardcore, gamer not having free sync may be an issue for you, because you're plugging your PC gaming and your wait. I don't have facing support for my AMD card, but for console gaming. I think it's fine.
Furthermore, I think 1440p at 120 and HDR you're going to enjoy it, but for those who really need 4k, 120 you're going to have to look either at the x900h, the p-series or the NATO 90 from lg. All three of those do support 75 inch and 4k 120. Okay, launch is done. Prices are linked below with the Amazon affiliate link, it is available. Now you can purchase it now, and it will be delivered to you asap, but again as last year, it's always limited availability.
These TVs fly off the shelves very quickly and with the launch of next generation console, I believe this is the TV to get if your budget is under a thousand dollars at the 55-inch size. I can't think of a better gaming TV that has 120 hertz, HDR performance and var. That really is my only choice. The m series only goes up to 60 hertz anyway, if you have any questions, let me know until next time this TV really is worth a little of photo. Stop anger.
