2018 iPad Pro: Everything you NEED to know!

Apple has just unveiled the 2018 iPad Pro, and we've got admit that it's basically an iPad revolution in terms of how much has changed in this video we'll explain everything you need to know about. Let's start with the elephant in the room. The physical changes, the new iPad pros are completely redesigned with flat edges all around in a new rounded edge to edge liquid retina pro motion display with equally thin bezels all around. For the first time in an iPad, the home button is gone, and it now supports face ID without having a notch in the display, and it works in both portrait and landscape modes. Now, that's something you can't currently get on an iPhone. That also means that you get the same.

An emoji, emoji and porches selfie features as well. Not only that, but the iPad pros get the same cameras as the iPhone 10 are featuring smart HDR, 4k, video recording at 60 frames per second on the rear and 1080p at 60 on the front. The only thing that's lacking is optical image, stabilization, the 2018 iPad Pro comes in two sizes, 11 inches and 12 point 9 inches. The 11-inch models chassis is the same size as last year's 10.5-inch iPad Pro the extra display size comes from thinner bezels for the twelve point, nine inch model, the display size is obviously staying the same, but the chassis is getting a lot smaller. This is great because last year's twelve point, nine inches was too big for a lot of people.

In fact, both models have 25% less volume than last year. Not only that, but the new iPad pros are only five point: nine millimeters thick making it thinner than any iPad or iPhone ever made ? the camera bomb. A massive change this year is the move to USB from lightning for the main connector, making it the first iOS device ever to use it. This means you can charge your phone with it and connect it to external devices like cameras or even an external 5k display which will mirror everything onto that display. Unfortunately, the headphone jack is gone, and it was only a matter of time before this happened, but they have a cheap, nine dollar adaptor for sale.

If you really want it before we get into the new and insane a 12 X Bionic chip, let's talk about the brand new, second-generation Apple Pencil. It now features one flat side that attaches magnetically to the side of the iPad Pro to automatically pair and charge it so no more need for a lightning connector and cap. That seems to always get lost, and you can charge both your iPad and your Apple Pencil at the same time, and that's not the only thing that attaches magnetically. The iPad Pro features a hundred and two magnets inside the chassis allowing the new smart keyboard folio to attach magnetically and cover both the front and the back of the iPad Pro back to the Apple Pencil. You can now double tap on it.

To do things like change, fools brushes are switched to the eraser compatibility wise. The new iPad pros require the new Apple Pencil, which also won't work with the old iPad pros. The new one is priced at $129, and you can actually get it engraved for free. If you order online this year, Apple decided to skip the 11 X chip and go straight for the 12 X Bionic chip and I couldn't be happier that they did this. Considering the 812 and the new iPhones has only been out for a little over a month.

Just like the 812, the 12 X gets the new 8 core neural engines, which is a first for the iPad. This will be huge for augmented reality. The new iPad pros are packing a new 8 core processors, with 4 performance cores and for efficiency course. Apple claimed that we should see a 35 percent improvement in single core speeds and a 90 percent overall speed improvement, making it faster than 92% of all portable PC processors and to be completely honest. I was not expecting that big of a difference, and we'll be testing it as soon as we get it in so make sure to subscribe.

Now, there's also a new 7 core GPU that Apple said, should get twice the performance compared to the 12 core GPU and last year's iPad Pro. Even with all those performance improvements, battery life is staying. The same and there's still no word on how much RAM it'll be packing, but we're sure it'll have at least 4 gigabytes. Thanks to all that extra power there are now professional, desktop apps like AutoCAD and Photoshop coming to the new iPad Pro. The Wi-Fi has also been improved now supporting simultaneous dual-band connection and Bluetooth has been updated to Bluetooth 5 like the rest of Apple's recent devices and if you're into the cellular model, you get gigabit class LTE, just like the new iPhone 10s featuring up to 29 bands, there's also a new 18 watt, USB-C power adaptor in the box compared to the large and bulky 12 watt power, adaptor that came with the previous gen iPads.

This means that you can now get a fast charger in the box. Instead of having to use a 29 watt are larger, MacBook, adaptor and a USB see the lightning cable like we had to do to fast charge. Last year's iPad, pro's and iPhones the new iPad Pro can be configured to have up to one terabyte of storage, which can honestly get really expensive, but it's nice that Apple has it for those who really need it. The base 11-inch model will come with 64 gigs of storage for $799 in $949 for the cellular model. For the 12 point, 9 inches it's priced at $9.99 and 11:49 for cellular and unlike last year, you can get them in gold or rose gold. Your only options are silver and Space Gray and I.

For one think. The Space Gray model looks spotless, we'll be getting our hands on the new iPad Pro as soon as it's released so make sure to subscribe.
